Origin of thought in the heart of man....

Every thought emerges from the depths of the heart and only then makes its way into the organs intended for it, by which it is perceived and expressed as a thought. For before the thought becomes conscious to man, it must be born in the heart, i.e. in the innermost part of man. What moves him deeply, he feels in his heart, and this feeling gives rise to the thought, although it cannot be felt with the heart, but it is born out of the life of feeling and is only now transmitted to the brain, which receives the thought and holds it, so to speak, until it comes to the person's consciousness. Man believes that thought originates in the brain, that it arises there through organic activity.... because he knows nothing of the nature of thought. And therefore the explanation that thought originates in the heart will not be credible to him. But it will become more comprehensible to him if he regards the heart as the centre of his feeling.... if he also endeavours to regard the thought as a feeling. The simplest solution, however, is that spiritual currents pour like lightning into a receptacle and are held by the human will.... Thus the thought is spiritual power that is diverted to the brain via the heart, held there, or where the will is too weak, immediately dropped again without having penetrated the human being's consciousness. And it always depends on the will whether a thought is seized by the organs intended for this purpose, for as soon as the human being is willing they first come into function and receive the thought emerging from the heart and process it, that is, it is added to the already existing thoughts, thus it is, as it were, incorporated into already existing thought material and can now be switched off or switched on at will, depending on the human being's will. For man's organs of thought are so constructed that every feeling of the heart is reflected like an image.... (13.10.1941) And as soon as the human being's will pays attention to the image it will be retained, i.e., it will be imprinted into the finest retinas especially intended for this purpose and thus be visible to the human being at all times, that is, he will be able to visualize it if he wants to.... This is the so-called memory. When impressions or images are brought back to a person's consciousness a long time later, then the organs of thought are active.... Among the innumerable retinas covered with images, they find out what the human will wants to imagine, and thus impressions long past, which first moved the heart of man before they were formed into thoughts, can be brought back to memory at any time, because once they have been received by the will of man, they remain as impressions until innumerable impressions make the images unclear.... that is, the memory becomes so weak that they no longer come clearly to consciousness. Spiritual impressions will now displace earthly impressions and images.... If the heart is receptive to currents of power from the spiritual realm, the human will is also ready to convey and retain the thoughts that are now born in the brain. For it feels the stream of power favourably, and it strives to see the resulting images quite often and clearly. As a result, these images will become particularly sharply engraved, so that they soon fill the person's entire mind. power and thought are thus one concept, except that it differs whether only the life force flowing to the human being or the power conveyed from the spiritual realm is the origin of the thought.... But the thought is always born in the heart, because all power first flows to the heart and is transmitted from there. However, the human will can prevent the transmission to the brain or the thought can be pushed back before it can express itself visually.... And therefore the human being is also responsible for his thoughts, for his will determines which thoughts are clearly memorized and his will determines which thoughts are repeatedly brought to consciousness....

L’origine del pensiero nel cuore dell’uomo

Ogni pensiero sale dalla profondità del cuore ed ora prende la sua via agli organi predisposti per questo, dai quali viene percepito come pensiero e portato all’espressione. Perché prima che il pensiero dell’uomo giunge alla consapevolezza, deve nascere nel cuore, cioè nel più interiore dell’uomo. Quello che lo muove più profondamente, lo percepisce nel cuore, e questa percezione fa sorgere il pensiero, cioè non percettibile con il cuore, ma nato dalla vita dei sentimenti, e solo ora viene guidato al cervello che accoglie il pensiero e lo trattiene in un certo qual modo, finché l’uomo non se ne renda conto. L’uomo crede che il pensiero ha la sua origine nel cervello, che sorge là attraverso l’attività organica, perché non sa nulla dell’essere del pensiero. E perciò non gli sarà credibile la spiegazione che il pensiero ha la sua origine nel cuore. Ma gli verrà più comprensibile, quando considera il cuore come centro del suo sentimento, quando si sforza a considerare anche il pensiero come un sentimento. La soluzione più semplice però è che si riverseranno delle correnti spirituali fulmineamente in un vaso d’accoglienza e vengono trattenute dalla volontà dell’uomo.

Quindi il pensiero è Forza spirituale che viene deviata sulla via del cuore al cervello, quivi trattenuta, senza essere penetrata nella consapevolezza dell’uomo. E dipende sempre dalla volontà se un pensiero viene afferrato dagli organi disposti per questo, perché appena l’uomo vuole, solo allora entrano in funzione ed accolgono il pensiero che sale dal cuore e lo elaborano, cioè viene assoggettato ai pensieri già esistenti e viene per così dire inserito in un patrimonio mentale già esistente ed ora può essere escluso o attivato arbitrariamente, secondo la volontà dell’uomo. Perché gli organi pensanti dell’uomo sono costruiti in modo, che ogni percezione del cuore si rifletta come una immagine.

Ed appena si bada all’immagine attraverso la volontà dell’uomo, questa viene trattenuta, cioè si imprime su retine finissime predisposte per questo e diventa così visibile all’uomo in ogni momento, quindi se la potrà immaginare come vuole. Questa è la cosiddetta capacità di ricordare. Quando delle impressioni o immagini vengono portate dopo molto tempo alla consapevolezza dell’uomo, allora sono attivi gli organi pensanti. Ritrovano sulle retine coperte da innumerevoli immagini ciò che la volontà umana vorrebbe immaginarsi, e così delle impressioni da tempo passate, che hanno mosso il cuore dell’uomo prima che venisse formato il pensiero, possono essere ricordate in ogni momento, perché, una volta accolte dalla volontà dell’uomo, rimangono esistenti come impressione, finché innumerevoli impressioni non rendono offuscate le immagini, quindi la capacità di ricordare diventa così debole, che non giungono più chiaramente alla consapevolezza.

Ora delle impressioni spirituali respingeranno impressioni ed immagini terrene. Se quindi il cuore è ricettivo per le correnti di Forza dal Regno spirituale, allora anche la volontà è disposta a trasmettere al cervello ed a trattenere i pensieri ora nati, perché percepisce beneficamente la corrente di Forza ed il suo tendere è di contemplare sovente le immagini formatesi in questo modo. Di conseguenza, queste immagini s’incidono particolarmente chiare in modo che presto riempiono tutto il pensare dell’uomo.

Con ciò Forza e pensiero è un concetto, solo che è differente se l’origine del pensiero è la Forza vitale che giunge all’uomo oppure la Forza trasmessa dal Regno spirituale. Ma il pensiero nasce sempre nel cuore perché ogni Forza fluisce dapprima al cuore e da lì viene condotta oltre. Attraverso la volontà umana però il condurre oltre al cervello può essere impedito oppure il pensiero respinto, prima che si possa manifestare nell’immagine. E perciò l’uomo è anche responsabile dei suoi pensieri, perché la sua volontà decide quali pensieri si imprimono chiaramente e la sua volontà decide quali pensieri vengono sempre di nuovo portati alla consapevolezza.
