"Behold, I stand at the door and knock...."

There are countless moments in earthly life when God knocks on people's hearts and desires entry.... where He comes to them in the word, either through the mouth of man or through the voice of the heart. And not one person can say that God has not taken notice of him. He desires entry into every human heart in order to be able to take effect in it, for the transformation of the soul can only take place with the help of the power from God, which flows to the human being in His word. Thus the word of God must be listened to so that the human being comes into possession of the power from God through his life according to this word. It is the expression of His will which God sends to man through His word. If man now does the will of God, he no longer opposes his creator but recognizes Him. He therefore enters into the right relationship with God, he no longer goes against Him but with Him.... He unites himself with God, he submits himself to Him and from now on no longer does his own will, but the will of God. Although the human being still walks on earth, he is already an aspirant of the spiritual kingdom, for he has passed the probationary period on earth, which was only given to him in order to find union with God in it. Divine love itself now approaches him and remains in close union with him, it continues to feed him with the word, which is the bread of heaven for him. For God now refreshes the human being with the food of heaven, He gives Himself to him in the word and is therefore constantly with him. He imparts the knowledge of truth to him, and He turns the human being into a bearer of light who can and will work again out of his love, who is now likewise willing to love and wants to pass on divine gifts. And willing fellow human beings will now also be allowed to feast at the lord's table.... they too will be offered the bread in the word, without which man does not have the strength to walk the earthly path leading upwards. And those who hunger and thirst for the gift of heaven will be satisfied. It will be an uninterrupted giving and receiving of what God Himself hands out to those who grant Him admittance into their hearts. God Himself wants to be active in them, therefore He desires admittance again and again. If a person does not hear His knocking, if he does not want to listen when the divine voice sounds softly audible.... His voice becomes louder. Then He comes to people in the form of suffering and wants to make Himself known and offer them His help. He only ever demands that they listen to Him, that they heed His voice, that they do not close their hearts to His admonishing voice. For without His word the human being cannot live his earthly life according to divine will, for without His word he lacks all strength....

"Siehe, Ich stehe vor der Tür und klopfe an...."

Es sind unzählige Momente im Erdenleben, wo Gott an die Herzen der Menschen pocht und Einlaß begehrt.... wo Er im Wort zu ihnen kommt, entweder durch Menschenmund oder durch die Stimme des Herzens. Und es kann nicht ein Mensch sagen, daß Gott seiner nicht geachtet habe. Er begehrt Einlaß in eines jeden Menschen Herz, um nun in ihm wirksam werden zu können, denn die Umgestaltung der Seele kann nur vor sich gehen unter Zuhilfenahme der Kraft aus Gott, die dem Menschen zufließt in Seinem Wort. Also muß das Wort Gottes angehört werden, auf daß der Mensch durch sein Leben nach diesem Wort in den Besitz der Kraft aus Gott kommt. Es ist die Äußerung Seines Willens, die Gott durch Sein Wort den Menschen zugehen läßt. Tut der Mensch nun den Willen Gottes, so widersetzet er sich nicht mehr seinem Schöpfer, sondern er erkennt Ihn an. Er tritt also in das rechte Verhältnis ein zu Gott, er geht nicht mehr gegen Ihn, sondern mit Ihm.... Er verbindet sich mit Gott, er unterstellt sich Ihm und tut von nun an nicht mehr seinen eigenen Willen, sondern den Willen Gottes. Obzwar der Mensch noch auf Erden wandelt, ist er schon ein Anwärter des geistigen Reiches, denn er hat die Probezeit auf Erden bestanden, die ihm nur gegeben wurde, um in ihr den Zusammenschluß mit Gott zu finden. Die göttliche Liebe Selbst nähert Sich ihm nun und bleibt in inniger Verbindung mit ihm, Sie speiset ihn fortgesetzt mit dem Wort, das für ihn das Brot des Himmels ist. Denn Gott labt den Menschen nun mit der Speise des Himmels, Er gibt Sich Selbst ihm im Wort und ist also unablässig bei ihm. Er vermittelt ihm das Wissen um die Wahrheit, und Er macht den Menschen zum Lichtträger, der wieder wirken kann und wird aus seiner Liebe heraus, der nun gleichfalls liebewillig ist und göttliche Gabe weiterleiten möchte. Und es werden nun auch die willigen Mitmenschen sich laben dürfen am Tisch des Herrn.... auch ihnen wird das Brot dargereicht im Wort, ohne das der Mensch nicht die Kraft hat, den zur Höhe führenden Erdenweg zu wandeln. Und es wird gesättigt werden, wer hungert und dürstet nach der Gabe des Himmels. Es wird ein ununterbrochenes Geben und Empfangen dessen sein, was Gott Selbst austeilet denen, die Ihm Einlaß gewähren in ihre Herzen. Gott Selbst will tätig sein in ihnen, darum begehrt Er Einlaß immer und immer wieder. So ein Mensch Sein Klopfen nicht vernimmt, so er nicht hören will, wenn die göttliche Stimme leise vernehmlich ertönt.... wird Seine Stimme lauter. Dann kommt Er in Form von Leid zu den Menschen und will Sich erkenntlich machen und ihnen Seine Hilfe antragen. Immer nur fordert Er, daß sie Ihm Gehör schenken, daß sie Seiner Stimme achten, daß sie nicht ihre Herzen verschließen Seiner mahnenden Stimme. Denn ohne Sein Wort kann der Mensch seinen Erdenlebenswandel nicht nach dem göttlichen Willen führen, denn es fehlt ihm ohne Sein Wort jegliche Kraft....
