Redemption through serving in love.... mandatory state and free will....

Without serving activity, no being can redeem itself. This applies to beings in bound as well as in free will. Serving activity is always the prerequisite for reaching the state which lets it become free of its outer form. And the more willingly the being subjects itself to serving activity the faster it can change the outer form until the last outer form, the flesh body of man, surrounds the soul, and now again serving in love is the task, which the soul must fulfil to also flee from the last outer form and to be able to enter the spiritual kingdom unencumbered. Serving in love is the only thing that frees the soul from its unfree state, and it is precisely this that people pay so little attention to. In their hustle and bustle they no longer find time for other people, they forget the actual task because they consider themselves to be too much the centre of attention. And therefore they remain bound, for only service in love redeems. In the preliminary stages the beings are determined by divine will to be of service, they are in a certain state of compulsion so that they have to carry out the activity God has assigned to them. As a human being, however, divine will is excluded insofar as He allows the human being to think and act according to His will. And therefore he is not forced into a serving activity but he has to be active in a serving way of his own free will. The drive to do so must be present in his heart, love must therefore be kindled in him, for only this drives him to be of service to his neighbour. Without love, however, he lacks the drive and the human being will then not fulfil his earthly task. And the whole of humanity suffers from this....

To be active in love requires the greatest overcoming of oneself as long as the human being is not yet in love. But once the flame of love has been kindled in his heart he cannot help but be active in love, for love is strength, but strength can never remain inactive, it will always stimulate activity, thus it will always want to express itself in a way that makes his fellow human being happy. And so the human being serves the one he wants to make happy and thereby frees himself from his former guilt.... because he wanted to rule in arrogance.... Serving therefore means for him a liberation from an endless time endured bondage and at the same time makes the outer form unnecessary, so that therefore the soul can discard its last outer form, because it has thereby proven that it has given up its former attitude against God, that it is no longer against God, but has become love, therefore stands in God-like will, consequently has completely overcome the separation from God, therefore has become one with Him. Union with God means spiritualization, thus earthly deformation has now become unnecessary and every burden has been removed from the soul. But the union with God can only take place in love. The works of love bring about a rapprochement with God, since God is present in every work of love. But anyone who has set himself the goal of drawing closer to God is already in love, for he desires to be united with Him because he loves God. And thus, through this desire, he is also free from opposing violence.... He has redeemed himself through love....

Erlösung durch Dienen in Liebe.... Mußzustand und freier Willen....

Ohne dienende Tätigkeit kann sich kein Wesen erlösen. Dies gilt sowohl für die Wesen im gebundenen wie auch im freien Willen. Immer ist dienende Tätigkeit die Voraussetzung zur Erreichung des Zustandes, der es seiner Außenform ledig werden läßt. Und je williger sich das Wesen der dienenden Tätigkeit unterzieht, desto schneller kann es die Außenform wechseln, bis die letzte Außenform, der Fleischleib des Menschen, die Seele umgibt, und nun ist wieder das Dienen in Liebe die Aufgabe, welche die Seele erfüllen muß, um auch der letzten Außenform entfliehen und unbelastet eingehen zu können in das geistige Reich. Dienen in Liebe ist das einzige, was die Seele frei macht aus ihrem unfreien Zustand, und gerade dessen achten die Menschen so wenig. In ihrem Hasten und Jagen finden sie nicht mehr Zeit für andere Menschen, sie vergessen die eigentliche Aufgabe, denn sie betrachten sich selbst zu sehr im Mittelpunkt stehend. Und daher bleiben sie gebunden, denn nur Dienen in Liebe erlöst. In den Vorstadien sind die Wesen durch den göttlichen Willen zur dienenden Tätigkeit bestimmt, sie sind in einem gewissen Mußzustand, so daß sie die Tätigkeit ausführen müssen, die ihnen Gott zugewiesen hat. Als Mensch aber scheidet der göttliche Wille insofern aus, als Er den Menschen selbst denken und handeln läßt nach seinem Willen. Und daher wird er nicht in eine dienende Tätigkeit hineingedrängt, sondern er muß aus freiem Willen sich dienend betätigen. Es muß der Trieb dazu im Herzen vorhanden sein, es muß also die Liebe in ihm entzündet werden, denn diese erst treibt ihn dazu, sich dienend zu betätigen am Nächsten. Ohne Liebe aber fehlt ihm der Trieb, und es erfüllt der Mensch dann nicht, was ihm als Erdenaufgabe gestellt ist. Und daran krankt die gesamte Menschheit....

Liebetätig zu sein erfordert so lange größte Überwindung seiner selbst, wie der Mensch noch nicht in der Liebe steht. Ist aber die Flamme der Liebe in seinem Herzen entzündet, so kann er nicht anders, als sich in Liebe zu betätigen, denn Liebe ist Kraft, Kraft aber kann nie untätig bleiben, sie wird immer zur Tätigkeit anregen, also sich äußern wollen, und zwar in einer den Mitmenschen beglückenden Weise. Und also dienet der Mensch dem, den er beglücken will, und er macht sich dadurch frei von seiner einstigen Schuld.... da er in Überheblichkeit herrschen wollte.... Es bedeutet das Dienen sonach für ihn eine Befreiung aus einer endlose Zeiten ertragenen Fessel und macht gleichzeitig die Außenform unnötig, so daß also die Seele ihre letzte Außenform ablegen kann, denn sie hat dadurch bewiesen, daß sie ihre einstige Einstellung gegen Gott aufgegeben hat, daß sie nicht mehr gegen Gott ist, sondern zur Liebe geworden ist, also in Gott-gleichem Willen steht, folglich die Trennung von Gott gänzlich überwunden hat, also eins geworden ist mit Ihm. Zusammenschluß mit Gott bedeutet Vergeistigung, also irdische Verformung ist nun unnötig geworden und jegliche Belastung von der Seele genommen. Der Zusammenschluß mit Gott kann aber nur in der Liebe stattfinden. Die Werke der Liebe bewirken die Annäherung an Gott, da Gott in jedem Werk der Liebe gegenwärtig ist. Wer aber die Annäherung an Gott sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, der steht schon in der Liebe, denn er verlangt mit Ihm vereinigt zu werden, weil er Gott liebt. Und also ist er durch das Verlangen auch frei von gegnerischer Gewalt.... Er hat sich selbst erlöst durch die Liebe....
