Recognizing God through the wonders of creation....

The utilization of divine grace also presupposes the will to come close to God, and since this will earns man everything he asks for, God's grace also comes to him unmeasured. For the willing person also utilizes grace, as this again increases willpower. In endeavouring to live in a way that is pleasing to God, his heart is also willing to love and, thanks to God's grace, also able to love. So for the time being man needs nothing more than to recognize God and himself as His creature, unworthy and small in relation to Him, and to ask Him, then he also asks Him in the right way and this humble request is granted. But in order to recognize God, it is enough to delve deeply into the divine creation, to contemplate the works of wonder and to relate oneself to them. Serious thoughts about this will certainly lead him to the conclusion that he himself is in an affirmative attitude towards his creator, and then the desire to come close to Him will awaken in him. Then God's love will take hold of him and help him to reach the height.... It is only ineffective where the human being remains in the will to reject. For his attitude towards God is up to him. As soon as the spirit of arrogance prevails in him, the influence of God's adversary, man blindly passes by the marvellous works of divine creation. Consequently, he does not take the right attitude towards his creator either. He wants to deny Him because he does not want to submit, or his attitude towards God is neither humble nor demanding. He does not request God's grace, consequently it cannot be granted to him, for he is endowed with gifts for the time of his life on earth as a human being which can and should bring about his free decision.... If he does not use this gift, i.e., if he does not use his thinking and willing in the right way, then he also decides, but not in favour of God but against him.... And then he makes the bestowal of divine grace impossible. Without this, however, it is also not possible to reach the heights. The will of man is the deciding factor; it cannot be directed by God. Man himself must freely decide in favour of God, only then is his spiritual ascent guaranteed....

Riconoscere Dio attraverso le Opere di Miracolo della Creazione

Avvalersi della divina Grazia premette anche la volontà di giungere vicino a Dio e dato che questa volontà procura all’uomo tutto ciò che chiede, gli giunge anche smisuratamente la Grazia di Dio. Perché l’uomo volenteroso utilizza anche la Grazia, dato che questa accresce di nuovo la forza di volontà. Nell’aspirazione di vivere compiacente a Dio, il suo cuore è anche pronto ad amare ed attraverso l’apporto della Grazia di Dio è anche capace di amare. Intanto l’uomo non ha bisogno di altro che riconoscere Dio e sé stesso come la Sua creatura, che è indegna e piccola di fronte a Lui, e desiderare di venire a Lui, allora Lo prega anche nel modo giusto e questa umile richiesta verrà esaudita. Ma per riconoscere Dio, basta approfondire precisamente la divina Creazione, osservare le Opere di Miracoli e portare sé stesso in collegamento con queste. Seri pensieri su ciò lo fanno arrivare con certezza al risultato, che lui stesso si predispone in modo positivo verso il suo Creatore, ed allora si risveglia anche in sé il desiderio di avvicinarsi a Lui. Allora l’Amore di Dio lo afferra e lo aiuta a salire in Alto. E’ solo inefficace là, dove l’uomo rimane nella volontà di rifiuto. Perché gli è lasciata libera la predisposizione verso Dio. Appena domina in lui lo spirito dell’arroganza, l’influenza dell’avversario di Dio, l’uomo passa cieco oltre alle Opere di Miracoli della Creazione divina. Di conseguenza non prende nemmeno la giusta posizione verso il suo Creatore. Lo vuole rinnegare, perché non si vuole sottomettere, oppure la sua predisposizione verso Dio non è umile o desiderosa. Non richiede la Grazia di Dio, di conseguenza non gli può giungere, perché per il tempo del cammino terreno come uomo è provvisto con Doni che possono e devono operare la sua libera decisione. Ma se non utilizza questo Dono, cioè non usa il suo pensare e volere nel modo giusto, allora si decide quindi anche, non per, ma contro Dio. Ed allora rende impossibile l’apporto della Grazia divina. Ma senza questa non è nemmeno possibile giungere in Alto. La volontà dell’uomo è decisiva, questa non può essere orientata da Dio. L’uomo stesso deve decidersi liberamente per Dio, solo allora è garantito il suo sviluppo spirituale verso l’Alto.
