State of death on earth and in the afterlife.... inactivity....

Everything changes and nothing remains as it is.... Consequently, everything that creation harbours is also alive. On the other hand, there is a state that can rightly be called lifeless.... This is the spiritual stagnation that can be found where materialism prevails. Although lively earthly activity can be recognized there, spiritual activity is switched off. And the consequence of this is that all spiritual development is impossible, thus the soul remains in the same state it was in before. But inactivity is a sign of death.... What is dead is motionless, it is as it were without any life, it is something worthless that has no purpose or goal and therefore remains unnoticed. However, we cannot speak of a dead being as such, because as long as the power from God flows into a work of creation, the ability to live is also in it. But God does not withdraw this power from any being, even if it does not use it according to divine will. But God withdraws His love from a spiritually inactive being and this results in a standstill, and a cooling of divine love results in the hardening of the spiritual (the spiritual substance?). This fate is unspeakably sad, for only the state of uninterrupted activity is blissful, whereas remaining in the same external form is depressing and even more depressing when the being discards its external form and enters the spiritual kingdom and no longer has the opportunity to be active.... when it is forcibly pushed into a lifeless state through its own fault. The being can remain in this state for eternities without being able to receive help because it is stubborn and rejects all help, thus if it does nothing to end its state of inactivity. In earthly life the being will not feel this dead state because earthly activity does not let it recognize the spiritually dead state. Consequently, it will not be remedied either since the being lacks the will. And if the being's will is already bound on earth, this is even more so in the beyond. There it can be given advice from all sides, the being also lacks the strength to will.... it is apathetic or completely obdurate.... But both characterize the distance from God and therefore the bound, unfree state, which expresses itself in inactivity and lack of will. This is the state of death, of darkness, in contrast to the state of life, which is eternity's brightest light and signifies constant activity....

Zustand des Todes auf Erden und im Jenseits.... Untätigkeit....

Alles wandelt sich, und nichts bleibt, wie es ist.... Folglich lebt auch alles, was die Schöpfung birgt. Hingegen gibt es einen Zustand, der mit Recht leblos genannt werden kann.... Es ist dies der geistige Stillstand, der dort anzutreffen ist, wo der Materialismus vorherrscht. Dort ist zwar rege irdische Tätigkeit zu erkennen, geistige Tätigkeit jedoch ausgeschaltet. Und es hat dies zur Folge, daß jede seelische Fortentwicklung unmöglich ist, die Seele also im gleichen Zustand verharrt, in dem sie zuvor war. Untätigkeit aber ist ein Zeichen des Todes.... Was tot ist, ist regungslos, es ist gleichsam ohne jegliches Leben, es ist etwas Wertloses, das ohne Zweck und Ziel ist und daher unbeachtet bleibt. Es kann aber nicht von einem toten Wesen an sich gesprochen werden, denn so lange, wie die Kraft aus Gott einem Schöpfungswerk zuströmt, ist auch die Lebensfähigkeit in ihm. Diese Kraft aber entzieht Gott keinem Wesen, wenngleich es diese nicht nützt nach göttlichem Willen. Doch einem geistig untätigen Wesen entzieht Gott Seine Liebe, und dies hat den Stillstand zur Folge, und ein Erkalten der göttlichen Liebe wirkt sich aus in der Verhärtung des Geistigen (der geistigen Substanz ?). Dieses Los ist unsagbar traurig, denn beglückend ist nur der Zustand ununterbrochener Tätigkeit, bedrückend dagegen das Verharren in immer gleicher Außenform und noch bedrückender, wenn das Wesen seine Außenform ablegt und es in das geistige Reich eingeht und es keine Möglichkeit mehr hat, tätig zu sein.... wenn es zwangsmäßig in einen leblosen Zustand gedrängt ist durch eigene Schuld. Ewigkeiten kann das Wesen in diesem Zustand bleiben, ohne daß Ihm Hilfe gebracht werden kann, weil es verstockt ist und jede Hilfe ablehnt, wenn es also nichts dazu tut, den Untätigkeitszustand zu beenden. Im Erdenleben wird das Wesen diesen toten Zustand nicht so spüren, denn irdische Tätigkeit läßt ihn den geistig toten Zustand nicht erkennen. Folglich wird er auch nicht behoben, da dem Wesen der Wille mangelt. Und ist auf der Erde schon der Wille des Wesens gebunden, so ist dies noch weit mehr im Jenseits. Dort können ihm von allen Seiten Ratschläge gegeben werden, die Kraft mangelt dem Wesen auch zum Wollen.... es ist apathisch oder gänzlich verstockt.... Beides aber kennzeichnet die Gottferne und also den gebundenen, unfreien Zustand, der sich in Untätigkeit und mangelndem Willen äußert. Es ist dies der Zustand des Todes, der Finsternis, im Gegensatz zum Zustand des Lebens, das ist der Ewigkeit hellstes Licht und bedeutet unentwegte Tätigkeit....
