Life - activity.... death – inactivity....

Life or death in the beyond is the success of life on earth, and therefore the responsibility of the human being is immense, as it is not a state of short duration that can be ended at will, but lasts eternally or for an unspeakably long time. In earthly life everything is limited, both in time and space, and therefore man cannot grasp the meaning of the word ‚eternal‘. He cannot even remotely imagine what it means to live constantly and permanently or to be lifeless. And therefore he often does not take his earthly life so seriously, regardless of the fact that he thereby determines the endlessly long life in eternity. The soul, which is entitled to live in the beyond, has fulfilled its task in life and now takes on a new task in the beyond which, however, no longer means a duty for it as on earth but triggers supreme bliss and thus signifies a blissful state. And thus the soul which was inactive on earth finds the same, except that on earth it preferred the state of inactivity, whereas in the beyond it is condemned to be inactive because being active signifies happiness and the soul has no claim to it. And eternal times can pass before it is admitted to happy activity, for a soul which has been inactive on earth finds it unspeakably difficult to change. For the first time it is so devoid of light, i.e. it has no knowledge whatsoever, neither about the cause nor about the possibility of a change of its desolate state, and therefore it remains in inactivity, i.e. it has no will to be liberated from it. Without its will, however, it cannot become active, that is, it cannot enter the kingdom where everything lives. It is so often presented to the human being in earthly life that he has a responsibility towards his soul, that he determines the fate of his soul in the beyond through his way of life. Yet he does not heed this advice because he does not believe.... The unbeliever can in no way be given knowledge of what awaits him after the death of his body, but no human being can say that he has heard nothing about it. For he rejects everything that reminds him to think of his future life as long as he himself is not active in love.... Every loving person will also believe. Anyone who is concerned about the fate of his fellow human being in earthly life will also be convinced that life cannot end, and he will now, even if unconsciously, live on earth for eternity. For anyone who is active in love will also be guided in his thoughts and he will not be in a lightless state.... He will therefore know his task both on earth as well as after his physical death in the beyond. But he who only lives for himself, who on earth only has the one urge to create comfort for himself and passes by the misery of his fellow human beings, will never accept as truth what is presented to him about life after death. And consequently no light will be kindled in him, he already walks on earth in the darkness of the spirit and this cannot be any different after his death.... It is dark around him and also dark in his thinking.... And only where there is light is life.... But darkness is death....

삶과 활동. 죽음과 활동이 없음.

저세상의 삶과 죽음은 이 땅의 삶의 결과이다. 그러므로 인간의 책임이 엄청나게 크다. 왜냐하면 그런 결과가 마음대로 끝낼 수 있는 짧은 기간이 아니라, 영원한, 다시 말해 말할 수 없을 정도로 오랜 동안 지속되는 상태이기 때문이다. 이 땅의 삶의 모든 것은 시간적으로나 공간적으로 제한이 되어 있다. 그러므로 사람이 "영원" 이라는 단어의 의미를 이해할 수 없다. 그는 항상 끊임없이 살아 있거나, 생명이 없이 머무는 것이 무엇을 의미하는 지, 전혀 상상할 수 없다.

그러므로 그는 이 땅의 삶이 끝없이 긴 기간 동안을 결정한다는 사실에 주의를 기울이지 않고, 종종 이 땅의 삶을 그렇게 심각하게 받아들이지 않는다. 저세상에서 살 자격이 있는 혼은 자신의 삶의 임무를 완수했고, 이제 저세상에서 새로운 사명을 맡는다. 그러나 이런 사명은 더 이상 이 땅에서와 같이 의무를 의미하지 않고, 최고의 행복을 불러일으키는, 따라서 행복한 상태를 의미한다.

그러므로 이 땅에서 활동하지 않은 혼은 같은 상태가 된다. 단지 혼이 이 땅에서는 스스로 활동하지 않는 상태를 선호한 반면에, 저세상에서는 활동하지 못하는 저주를 받는다. 왜냐면 활동하는 일이 행복을 의미하고, 혼에게 행할 권리가 없기 때문이다. 혼에게 다시 행복하게 되는 활동을 할 수 있게 되기까지 영원한 시간이 지날 수 있다. 왜냐하면 이 땅에서 일하지 않은 혼은 자신을 변화시키기가 말할 수 없을 정도로 어렵기 때문이다.

혼에게 처음으로 자신의 주변이 아주 빛이 없게 된다. 다시 말해 혼에게 전혀 지식이 없다. 혼에게 이렇게 된 원인이나, 자신의 황폐한 상태를 바꿀 가능성에 관한 지식이 없다. 그러므로 혼은 활동하지 않고 머문다. 다시 말해 혼은 자신의 상태에서 해방되려는 의지가 없다. 그러나 의지가 없이는 혼은 활동할 수 없고, 그러므로 모든 것이 살아있는 나라에 들어갈 수 없다.

이 땅의 삶 가운데 아주 자주 사람에게 그의 혼에 대한 책임이 있고, 그가 자신의 삶의 방식을 통해, 저세상에서 자신의 혼의 운명을 결정한다는 것을 알려준다. 그러나 그는 이런 가르침에 주의를 기울이지 않는다. 왜냐면 그가 이를 믿지 않기 때문이다. 그러나 믿지 않는 사람에게 육체의 죽음 후에 어떤 일이 일어날 지에 대해 전혀 알려줄 수 없다. 그러나 어떤 사람도 죽음 후에 대해 들은 적이 없다고 말할 수 없다. 왜냐면 그가 스스로 사랑을 행하지 않는 동안에는, 그에게 그의 계속되는 삶에 대해 생각하도록 그에게 경고해주는 모든 것을 거부하기 때문이다. 모든 사랑을 행하는 사람은 믿게 될 것이다.

이 땅의 삶에서 이웃 사람의 운명을 염려하는 사람은 누구나 삶을 멈출 수 없다는 확신을 갖게 될 것이다. 그는 이제, 비록 무의식적이라 할지라도, 영원히 이 땅에서 살게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 사랑을 행하는 사람의 생각은 인도를 받고, 그가 또한 빛이 없는 상태에 있게 되지 않을 것이기 때문이다. 그러므로 그는 이 땅에서 자신의 과제와 자신의 육체의 죽음 후에 저세상에서 해야 할 과제를 알게 될 것이다.

그러나 자신을 위해서만 사는 사람은, 이 땅에서 단지 자신을 편안하게 하려는 충동을 가지고, 이웃 사람의 필요를 지나치는 사람은 죽음 이후의 삶에 대해 그에게 주는 것을 진리로 받아들이지 않을 것이다. 결과적으로 그에게 어떤 빛도 밝혀줄 수 없게 될 것이다. 그는 이 땅에서 이미 영의 어두움 속에서 살고, 그의 죽음 후에는 그렇게 되지 않을 수 없다. 그의 주변은 어둡고, 그의 생각도 또한 어둡게 된다. 빛이 있는 곳에 단지 생명이 있다. 그러나 어두움이 있는 곳에 죽음이 있다._>아멘
