Awakening of the spirit.... love....

A so-called awakening of the spirit will always take place when self-refinement has taken place through active neighbourly love. Every labour of love purifies the soul and thus breaks the shackles of the spirit, for the spirit slumbers in man as long as the covering is still thick. Now, however, strength can be implored through heartfelt prayer for this act of detachment of the spirit; although this will always happen on the path of active love, a person who prays will also be more easily able to work with love. For a person who prays has a certain humility within himself and therefore serving is not difficult for him either. Every prayer conveys strength, and what a person requires great willpower for, he can easily master after fervent prayer. The power of prayer is immense and yet it is not recognized enough. This is why people sometimes have to struggle a great deal before the spirit in them is released, whereas fervent prayer leads them almost effortlessly to the heights. Prayer in spirit and in truth unites the human being with God, i.e. he himself seeks the connection to Him, and since God Himself is love, the human being's feelings must now express themselves in love.... But a work of neighbourly love likewise draws God as love itself.... But love frees the spirit in man so that it can unite with the spiritual outside of itself, from which light and strength, i.e. knowledge and power, is imparted to it. Only then can the human being's nature become as it corresponds to divine will and the soul will mature and develop upwards in earthly life....

영의 깨어남. 사랑.

영이 깨어나는 일은 항상 단지 이웃 사랑의 역사를 통해, 자신을 고귀하게 만드는 일이 선행될 때, 일어나게 될 것이다. 모든 사랑의 역사는 혼을 정화시키고, 따라서 영을 묶는 사슬을 깨뜨린다. 왜냐면 겉형체가 아직 두꺼운 동안에는 영이 사람 안에서 잠을 자고 있기 때문이다. 그럴지라도 이제 긴밀한 기도를 통해 영이 자유롭게 하기 위한 힘을 간구할 수 있다. 그러나 이런 일은 항상 단지 적극적으로 사랑을 행하는 일을 통해 일어나게 될 것이다. 그러나 기도하는 사람은 또한 더 쉽게 사랑을 행할 수 있게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 기도하는 사람은 그 안에 어느정도 겸손이 있기 때문이다. 그러므로 섬기는 일이 그에게 어렵지 않다.

모든 기도는 힘을 공급해준다. 사람이 수행하기 위해 큰 의지를 필요로 하는 일을 그는 긴밀한 기도 후에 쉽게 완수한다. 기도의 힘은 강력하다. 그러나 이를 너무 적게 깨닫는다. 그러므로 사람은 때때 그 안의 영이 자유롭게 되기까지, 열심히 투쟁해야만 한다. 반면에 진심 어린 기도는 그들을 힘을 들이지 않고 높은 곳으로 향하게 인도한다. 영으로, 진리로 드리는 기도가 사람을 하나님과 연결시킨다. 다시 말해 사람이 스스로 하나님과의 연결을 추구한다. 하나님 자신이 사랑이기 때문에 사람의 감정이 이제 사랑으로 표현되야만 한다.

그러나 이웃 사랑을 행하는 일이 또한 사랑 자체인 하나님을 끌어드린다. 사랑은 사람 안에서 영을 자유롭게 하고, 사람이 빛과 힘을, 즉 지식과 권세를 그에게 전해주는, 자신 밖의 영적인 존재와 연결이 될 수 있게 한다. 그러면 비로소 사람의 존재가 하나님의 뜻에 합당하게 될 수 있고, 혼은 이 땅의 삶 가운데 성숙해질 것이고, 가장 높은 곳을 향해 성장하게 될 것이다._>아멘
