Way of the flesh....know before.... serve....

The path of the flesh must be travelled by every being that wants to become free from bondage. Until the being has completed its earthly life in embodiment as a human being it cannot enter the spiritual kingdom free and unbound. But the beingness will also strive for embodiment as a human being in order to finally become free from the constraint which every external form means for the beingness. And that is why it takes up the earthly battle with full consent. It feels up to the task and is not afraid of it, and therefore the souls will push themselves to be conceived into the flesh in order to be able to fulfil their final task. They have previously been shown the path on earth and also the degree of maturity they can attain through this earthly life. Furthermore, the measure of grace is also presented to them, which enables them to mature, and therefore the soul does not hesitate to start the last course, even though it is now deprived of the awareness of the soul's pre-formation and now begins its earthly existence in complete ignorance. The more willing to serve the soul was before, the more it is now up to the earthly demands, i.e., it will also master earthly life, since it has declared its willingness to redeem itself through service. Admittedly, the human being will now come into situations in life where the will to serve will be shaken in him; he will get to know life with all its joys and comforts, and now the soul must prove to itself whether it is still willing to serve. For it must go through resistance and prove itself in the face of this resistance. So it now puts the previously cherished will into practice, and only this earns it liberation. The will to serve earned it the grace of embodiment as a human being, but the active will releases it again from the final form.... If, however, the will does not become active, then it has to a certain extent illegally acquired embodiment as a human being; it has not fulfilled what it promised to do. And it is itself the sufferer, for the hour of liberation from spiritual fetters has by no means struck for it, even though it is seemingly freed from its outer form through the death of the body. Nevertheless, it takes the form with it into eternity, i.e. it still feels the shackles of the spirit just as agonizingly as before the earthly body. And it has to feel the shackles until it decides to serve in love.... No being can be spared the path on earth in the flesh; but it cannot be spared serving in love either, and if it does not do the latter on earth it only prolongs its bound state and in fact its time on earth. For the immature soul will not be able to separate itself from earth until it has fulfilled its serving activity, even though it has already left earth. But the will to serve will often only be very weak in the beyond. And it will require twice as much strength to realize this will. And therefore it is far more difficult to finally become free than on earth, where the slightest will brings the strength from God to the person and he can effortlessly fulfil his earthly task.... to serve in love in order to become completely free from the form....

La via della carne - Il sapere antecedente - Il servire

La via della carne dev’essere percorsa da ogni essere che vuole diventare libero dallo stato legato. Finché l’essere non ha percorso la vita terrena nell’incorporazione come uomo, non può entrare libero e slegato nel Regno spirituale. Ma anche l’essenziale aspirerà all’incorporazione come uomo per diventare definitivamente libero dalla costrizione, che significa per l’essenziale ogni forma esteriore. E perciò intraprende con pieno assenso la lotta terrena. Si sente all’altezza del compito e non teme e perciò le anime spingeranno per venir generate nella carne, per poter assolvere il loro ultimo compito. Dapprima è stata loro mostrata la via terrena ed anche il grado di maturità, che possono conquistare attraverso questa vita terrena. Inoltre viene loro anche presentata la misura di Grazia, che rende loro possibile la maturazione, e perciò l’anima non indugia ad iniziare l’ultimo percorso, benché le venga ora tolta la consapevolezza della pre-formazione dell’anima ed ora inizia l’esistenza terrena nella pienissima ignoranza. Più l’anima era dapprima volenterosa di servire, più è ora all’altezza delle pretese terrene, cioè affronterà con successo anche la vita terrena, dato che ha dichiarata la sua disponibilità di redimersi attraverso il servire. L’uomo capiterà ora in situazioni di vita, dove la volontà in lui di servire verrà scossa; imparerà a conoscere la vita con tutte le gioie e piaceri, ed ora l’anima deve dimostrare, se è sempre ancora pronta a servire, perché deve passare attraverso resistenze ed affermarsi verso queste. Ora mette in atto la volontà dapprima coltivata, e soltanto questa le procura la libertà. La volontà di servire le ha procurata la Grazia dell’incorporazione come uomo, ma la volontà attiva la fa di nuovo diventare libera dall’ultima forma. Se però la volontà non diventa attiva, allora si è conquistata in certo qual modo illegittimamente l’incorporazione come uomo; non ha adempiuto quello che ha promesso di fare. E lei stessa porta la sofferenza, perché l’ora della liberazione dalle catene dello spirito non ha ancora suonata per lei, benché attraverso la morte del corpo diventa apparentemente libera dalla sua forma esteriore. Porta con sé la forma di là, nell’Eternità, cioè percepisce le catene dello spirito ancora precisamente tormentose come prima il corpo terreno. Deve sentire le catene così a lungo, finché non si decide di servire nell’amore. A nessun essere può rimanere risparmiata la via sulla Terra nella carne; ma nemmeno il servire nell’amore gli può rimanere risparmiato, e se non lo fa sulla Terra, allora si prolunga solo il suo stato legato e veramente il tempo terreno, perché l’anima che è immatura, non potrà staccarsi dalla Terra, finché non ha compiuto la sua attività servente, benché abbia già abbandonata la Terra. Ma la volontà di servire sarà sovente solo molto debole nell’aldilà. E ci vorrà la doppia Forza a portare all’esecuzione questa volontà. E perciò è molto più difficile diventare definitivamente liberi come sulla Terra, dove la minima volontà procura all’uomo la Forza da Dio e così può adempiere senza fatica il suo compito terreno, di servire nell’amore, per diventare definitivamente libero dalla forma.
