Sin of unkindness.... (supplement to no. 1914)

Violating the commandment to love one's neighbour is also a sin, but a sin that the being only commits in the stage of free will, as a human being, and therefore must not be confused with the former sin.... of rebellion against God.... For this is a lack of love which is not a conscious rebellion against God Himself, because the human being neither recognizes God correctly nor his actual position towards God and his fellow human being. He does have a sense of good and evil, and as he fulfils the urge to evil more, he thickens the shell of his soul, thus adding further injustice to the former injustice and thereby making it more difficult for himself to free himself from the great guilt of sin of his former rebellion. The human being is therefore born in a burdened state in order to become free from it and can only increase his burden through sins that are committed without love. As a result, he can regress, whereas the purpose of life on earth is to rid himself of the last remnants of his former offence against God after an infinitely long journey through creation.... This great sin is the reason for his life on earth.... Without this sin, there is no justification for a being's existence in a world that offers suffering and sorrow, tribulation and hardship to the embodied being. All this is merely a means to an end. But as soon as this great sin is not recognized or denied, every work of creation, including man, would be unfounded, and creation would then betray neither wisdom nor love. The sin of unkindness, however, would be too small to result in eternal punishment, but a life lived in a manner pleasing to God would never be able to earn eternal reward, as neither would be in proportion to the merit or sin of man on earth. The former apostasy from God, however, is such a significant spiritual event that man cannot grasp it, but only by believing in it can he solve the task on earth.... to restore the right relationship with God as it was from the beginning....

Le péché de désamour - (achèvement du N° 1914)

Enfreindre le Commandement de l'amour pour le prochain est dommageable, mais ce que l'être commet seulement au stade de la libre volonté en tant qu’homme, ne doit pas être confondu avec le péché d'autrefois, la rébellion contre Dieu. Parce qu'ici il s'agit d'une absence d'amour, qui n'est pas une rébellion consciente contre Dieu Lui-Même, parce que l'homme ne reconnaît ni Dieu ni sa vraie position vis-à-vis de Dieu et vis-à-vis du prochain. Il a certes le sentiment pour le bien et pour le mal, et étant donné qu’il suit davantage sa poussée vers le mal, l'enveloppe de son âme s’épaissit, il ajoute donc à la faute d’autrefois une faute ultérieure et avec cela il se rend lui-même plus difficile la libération de la grande faute de sa rébellion d'autrefois. L’homme vient au monde déjà dans un état chargé or il doit devenir libre, et il peut seulement augmenter son poids au travers des péchés qui sont commis en absence d'amour. À cause de cela il peut rétrograder, alors que le but de la vie terrestre est, après l’infiniment long chemin au travers de la Création, de se libérer des dernières scories de son dommage d'autrefois contre Dieu. Ce grand péché est le motif du chemin de sa vie terrestre. Sans ce péché il n’y aurait aucune raison pour l'existence d'un être dans un monde qui offre à l'être incarné de la souffrance et des soucis, de l'affliction et de la misère. Tout cela est simplement un moyen pour un but. Si cependant maintenant ce grand péché est nié et n’est pas reconnu, toute Œuvre de Création, y compris l'homme, serait infondée, et la Création ne révélerait ni la Sagesse ni l’Amour du Créateur. Le péché d'absence d'amour serait trop petit pour avoir pour conséquence une punition éternelle ; et une vie complaisante à Dieu ne pourrait jamais procurer une récompense éternelle, vu que les deux ne seraient pas en rapport avec le gain ou avec le dommage de l'homme sur la Terre. La chute de Dieu a été un événement spirituel si significatif que l'homme ne peut pas le saisir, mais seulement au travers de la foi il peut en accomplissant sa tâche sur la Terre, rétablir le juste rapport envers Dieu, comme il était au début.
