Sin of unkindness.... (supplement to no. 1914)

Violating the commandment to love one's neighbour is also a sin, but a sin that the being only commits in the stage of free will, as a human being, and therefore must not be confused with the former sin.... of rebellion against God.... For this is a lack of love which is not a conscious rebellion against God Himself, because the human being neither recognizes God correctly nor his actual position towards God and his fellow human being. He does have a sense of good and evil, and as he fulfils the urge to evil more, he thickens the shell of his soul, thus adding further injustice to the former injustice and thereby making it more difficult for himself to free himself from the great guilt of sin of his former rebellion. The human being is therefore born in a burdened state in order to become free from it and can only increase his burden through sins that are committed without love. As a result, he can regress, whereas the purpose of life on earth is to rid himself of the last remnants of his former offence against God after an infinitely long journey through creation.... This great sin is the reason for his life on earth.... Without this sin, there is no justification for a being's existence in a world that offers suffering and sorrow, tribulation and hardship to the embodied being. All this is merely a means to an end. But as soon as this great sin is not recognized or denied, every work of creation, including man, would be unfounded, and creation would then betray neither wisdom nor love. The sin of unkindness, however, would be too small to result in eternal punishment, but a life lived in a manner pleasing to God would never be able to earn eternal reward, as neither would be in proportion to the merit or sin of man on earth. The former apostasy from God, however, is such a significant spiritual event that man cannot grasp it, but only by believing in it can he solve the task on earth.... to restore the right relationship with God as it was from the beginning....

Sünde der Lieblosigkeit.... (Ergänzung zu Nr. 1914)

Gegen das Gebot der Nächstenliebe zu verstoßen ist gleichfalls Sünde, jedoch eine Sünde, die das Wesen erst im Stadium des freien Willens, als Mensch, begeht, also nicht mit der einstigen Sünde.... der Auflehnung gegen Gott.... verwechselt werden darf. Denn es handelt sich hier um eine Lieblosigkeit, die kein bewußtes Auflehnen ist gegen Gott Selbst, weil der Mensch weder Gott recht erkennt noch seine eigentliche Stellung zu Gott und zum Mitmenschen. Er hat zwar das Empfinden für Gut und Böse, und da er dem Trieb zum Bösen mehr nachkommt, verdickt er die Hülle seiner Seele, fügt also dem einstigen Unrecht ein weiteres Unrecht zu und erschwert dadurch sich selbst die Freiwerdung von der großen Sündenschuld seiner einstigen Auflehnung. Es kommt also der Mensch schon in einem belasteten Zustand zur Welt, um von diesem frei zu werden, und kann seine Belastung nur noch vermehren durch Sünden, die in Lieblosigkeit begangen werden. Er kann sich dadurch rückschrittlich gestalten, während der Erdenlebenszweck ist, nach unendlich langem Wandel durch die Schöpfung sich der letzten Schlacken seiner einstigen Verfehlung gegen Gott zu entledigen.... Diese große Sünde ist Anlaß zu seinem Erdenlebenswandel.... Ohne diese Sünde fehlt jede Begründung für das Dasein eines Wesens auf einer Welt, die Leid und Sorge, Trübsal und Not dem verkörperten Wesen bietet. Es ist dies alles lediglich Mittel zum Zweck. Sowie nun aber diese große Sünde nicht erkannt oder abgestritten wird, wäre jegliches Schöpfungswerk, auch der Mensch, unbegründet, und die Schöpfung würde dann weder Weisheit noch Liebe verraten. Die Sünde der Lieblosigkeit jedoch wäre zu gering, um Ewigkeitsstrafen nach sich zu ziehen, ein Leben in gottgefälliger Weise würde aber niemals Ewigkeitslohn eintragen können, da beides nicht im Verhältnis stehen würde zum Verdienst oder zur Sünde des Menschen auf Erden. Der einstige Abfall von Gott aber ist ein so bedeutsames Geistesgeschehen, daß es der Mensch nicht fassen kann, er aber auch nur im Glauben daran die Aufgabe auf Erden lösen kann.... das rechte Verhältnis Gott gegenüber wiederherzustellen, wie es war von Anbeginn....
