Cognitive power.... truth.... God protects from error....

Once he has gained knowledge, man does not need any assurance of the credibility of what is imparted to him from above, because at the same time as the divine gift he receives the ability to clearly judge what is truth and what is a lie. For he is given a task.... to pass on what he receives. And in order to be able to do this with full conviction, he himself must be a deep believer; he must not be in any doubt as to the truthfulness of what he receives. However, the prerequisite is always that he himself desires the pure truth.... If a person wants to give, he will also receive.... And only that which is presented with all the power of conviction will be accepted as truth. Since it is God's will that the truth finds entrance among people, He needs servants devoted to Him who spread the divine word. And thus He equips them with the power of realization so that they will be able to accept what is offered to them as spiritual property and then also stand up for it towards their fellow human beings. And these people will no longer be able to spread anything other than truth. They will always clearly feel what does not agree with the pure truth and reject it, as well as on the other hand they will defend the pure truth against all opposing attacks. The assumption that a person can err if he declares himself willing to pass on the truth to his fellow human being is erroneous.... God's omnipotence comes into action there by preventing every false utterance as soon as a person wants to work for God. God's omnipotence now expresses itself in such a way that the human being will only speak and pass on what corresponds to the truth; he is therefore prevented, so to speak, from speaking such things that are still beyond his knowledge. And if he is determined by people to speak about it then he will freely admit that he is not yet informed about it and thus refrain from making any judgement about it. Thus, the human being will only want to pass on what he himself has accepted as truth and recognizes as such.... He will be knowledgeable, but will not want to appear knowledgeable where God has not yet granted him full insight. There are areas which the human being cannot pass through so quickly, which remain an unknown land to him for a long time, and indeed until the spirit in the human being succeeds in detaching itself from the body without any inhibition, until the human being has become even more receptive in order to be able to receive completely new wisdom, which requires a state of complete detachment from earth. And until this state occurs, the human being can hardly be taught about things that are beyond his knowledge. But a person will refrain from passing judgement for just as long because, in his love of truth, he does not want to pass on anything that is still unclear to him. For if God chooses a person to proclaim His word, then He also protects him from spreading something untrue and gives him the power of knowledge to the same extent as he desires the truth....

De kracht van het inzicht – Waarheid – God beschermt tegen dwaling

Als de mens het inzicht heeft, heeft hij geen verzekering nodig voor de geloofwaardigheid van dat, wat hem van boven gegeven wordt, want gelijktijdig met het goddelijke geschenk wordt hem de bekwaamheid toegestuurd om helder te kunnen beoordelen wat waarheid en wat leugen is. Want hij heeft de taak gekregen om dat, wat hij ontvangt, door te geven. En om dat met volle overtuiging te kunnen doen, moet hij zelf diep gelovig zijn. Hij mag niet door twijfel overvallen worden over de waarachtigheid van dat, wat hij ontvangen heeft. Maar de voorwaarde is steeds, dat hij zelf naar de zuivere waarheid verlangt.

Wanneer de mens geven wil, zal hij ook ontvangen. En alleen maar dat, waar met alle overtuigingskracht voor opgekomen wordt, zal ook als waarheid geaccepteerd worden. Omdat het Gods wil is dat de waarheid ingang vindt onder de mensen, heeft Hij toegenegen dienaren nodig, die het goddelijke woord verspreiden. En zodoende voorziet Hij deze dienaren van de kracht van het inzicht, opdat ze nu hetgeen hun geboden wordt, als geestelijke eigendom in zich op kunnen nemen en zich daar ook tegenover de medemens voor in kunnen zetten.

En door deze mensen zal niets meer dan de waarheid verspreid kunnen worden. Ze zullen steeds helder gewaarworden wat niet met de zuivere waarheid overeenstemt en dit afwijzen, zoals ze anderzijds de zuivere waarheid zullen verdedigen tegenover alle vijandigheden van de tegenstander. De aanname nu, dat een mens zich kan vergissen als hij zich bereid verklaart om de medemensen de waarheid door te willen geven, is verkeerd. Daar komt de almacht van God in actie, doordat ze elke verkeerde uitspraak verhindert, zodra de mens voor God wil werken.

De almacht van God komt nu zo tot uiting, dat de mens alleen maar dat spreken en doorgeven kan, wat met de waarheid overeenstemt. Hij wordt zodoende in zekere zin gehinderd om over zulke zaken te spreken, die hem nog onbekend zijn. En als hij van de zijde van de mensen ertoe overgehaald wordt om zich daarover te uiten, dan zal hij vrij toegeven daarover niet onderwezen te zijn en zich zodoende van elk oordeel daarover te onthouden. Dus zal de mens alleen dat maar door willen geven, wat hij zelf als waarheid geaccepteerd heeft en als zodanig erkent. Hij zal kennis hebben, maar niet wetend willen lijken, omdat God hem nog geen volledige blik toegestaan heeft.

Er zijn gebieden, waar de mens niet zo vlug doorheen kan lopen, die voor hem lange tijd onbekende landen zullen blijven en wel zo lang, tot het de geest in de mens lukt om zich zonder belemmering los te maken van het lichaam. Tot de mens nog beter in staat geworden is om volledig nieuwe wijsheden in ontvangst te kunnen nemen, wat een staat van een volledig los zijn van de aarde vereist. En zolang deze staat niet bereikt is, kan de mens moeilijk onderwezen worden over zaken, waar hij geen kennis van heeft.

Maar net zo lang zal de mens zich van een oordeel onthouden, omdat hij in zijn liefde voor de waarheid niets doorgeven wil, wat nog niet duidelijk voor hem is. Want als God voor het bekendmaken van Zijn woord een mens kiest, dan beschermt Hij hem er ook voor om iets onwaars te verspreiden en Hij geeft hem in dezelfde mate de kracht van het inzicht, zoals hij naar de waarheid verlangt.
