Desire of the divine spirit in all simplicity.... (1 Cor. 1, 19-21)

Desiring the divine spirit in all simplicity brings greater success than scientific studies without the right faith. In a time of research in every field, those who are scientifically educated and have great knowledge, which they have acquired through proper study, will be held in high esteem before the world. The more diligently he pursues his goal of absorbing the spiritual knowledge already available to him, the wiser he believes himself to be. And yet an earthly child can be far superior to him in wisdom who turns to God Himself in deep faith in order to be instructed by Him. For this child will far surpass any intellectual enquirer in wisdom. There are problems that cannot be solved with the intellect alone and yet can also be solved if God Himself is approached to solve them. And all it takes is a person's humble devotion to Him and a trusting request for clarification, for this requires the working of the spirit and the spirit from God will guide him into truth. And likewise, a believing person who tries to fathom the truth intellectually will clearly recognize when existing explanations are erroneous. Deep faith will be a better teacher than earthly teachers who lack faith. That is why the results of worldly research can also come close to the truth if they have been obtained intellectually but in deep faith. For such researchers have also been assisted by the divine spiritual power and guided them into correct thinking. However, worldly research can be completely bypassed if the human being connects himself in all simplicity, i.e. in the simplest, most unpretentious way, with God, Who is the eternal truth Himself.... His faith enables him to receive the divine word, and thus God Himself is the teacher of a believing earthly child, and He gives him more wisdom than earthly teachers can ever give him. Academic perseverance, diligence and intellectual labour do not bring about the results that faith, love and humility of heart produce.... God has all wisdom ready for the children of earth who desire it and want to serve Him.... And He imparts all knowledge to them if they willingly open their hearts in order to receive wisdom from God. Yet this process cannot be made credible to the world. It only accepts what can be explained with reason, but rejects what it cannot explain in worldly terms. And anyone who sees with worldly eyes will not find an explanation either. But the believer knows that nothing is impossible with God. And thus God destroys the understanding of the wise, and He rejects the wisdom of the wise.... Yet He gives unlimited consideration with His word to those who devotedly entrust themselves to Him, and He speaks through the mouth of those who want to hear Him....

Desiderare lo Spirito divino in tutta semplicità (1. Cor. 1, 19-21)

Desiderare lo Spirito divino in tutta la semplicità riporta dei successi più alti, che uno studio scientifico senza la giusta fede. In un tempo della ricerca in ogni campo starà nella fama del mondo colui che è pre-istruito scientificamente e dispone di grandi conoscenze che però si è conquistato sulla via dello studio ordinario. Più persegue la sua meta con fervore per accogliere in sé ciò che esiste già come patrimonio spirituale, più saggio si crede l’uomo. E malgrado ciò, gli può essere superiore in sapienza un figlio terreno che si rivolge a Dio Stesso in profonda fede, per essere ammaestrato da Lui. Perché questo supererà di gran lunga la sapienza di ognuno che ricerca intellettualmente. Esistono dei problemi che non possono essere risolti solamente con l’intelletto e che sono comunque risolvibili, se a Dio Stesso viene richiesta la soluzione. E per questo ci vuole solamente l’umile dedizione di un uomo a Lui e la fiduciosa richiesta per il Chiarimento, perché costui richiede l’Agire dello Spirito, e Lo Spirito di Dio lo guida nella Verità. Ed un uomo credente che cerca di sondare intellettualmente la Verità, riconoscerà chiaramente, quando dei chiarimenti già esistenti sono sbagliati. La profonda fede sarà una migliore maestra che insegnanti terreni, ai quali manca la fede. Perciò i risultati di ricercatori mondani possono anche avvicinarsi alla Verità, se questi sono stati conquistati bensì intellettualmente, ma nella profonda fede, perché tali ricercatori sono stati pure assistiti dalla divina Forza dello Spirito e li ha guidati nel pensare giusto. Ma la ricerca mondana può essere del tutto raggirata, se l’uomo si collega con Dio in tutta semplicità, cioè nel modo più schietto, più naturale, il Quale E’ l’eterna Verità Stessa. La sua fede lo rende capace di accogliere la Parola divina, e perciò E’ Dio Stesso il Maestro di un credente figlio terreno, e gli dà in Sapienza più che un maestro terreno gli possa mai dare. La perseveranza scientifica scolastica, la diligenza ed il lavoro d’intelletto non procurano i risultati che possono procurare la fede, l’amore e l’umiltà del cuore. Dio tiene pronte tutte le Sapienze per i figli terreni che le desiderano e Lo vogliono servire. Ed Egli trasmette loro ogni sapere, se i loro cuori si aprono volontariamente, per ricevere la Sapienza di Dio. Ma questo non lo si può rendere credibile al mondo. Questo fa valere solamente ciò che è spiegabile con l’intelletto, ma respinge ciò per cui mondanamente non ha nessuna spiegazione. E chi vede con occhi mondani, non trova nessuna spiegazione. Ma l’uomo credente sa che per Dio nessuna cosa è impossibile. E così Dio rende nulla l’intelletto dei savi, rigetta la sapienza degli intelligenti. Ma Egli gratifica illimitatamente con la Sua Parola coloro che si danno fiduciosi a Lui ed Egli parla attraverso la bocca di costoro, a tutti coloro che vogliono sentirLo.
