Battle against Christ’s teachings.... Persecution of those who confess Him....

It is indisputably better to confess before the world to belong to the church of Christ than to be subject to the adversary’s will and to deny Christ. For whoever is powerful in the world has nevertheless no power to stop what God will send against him. Whoever denies Christ, denies God, even if he mentions His name as proof of his faith.... For if he is profoundly faithful he will also recognise the Deity of Christ, because then he has love and love affirms Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Saviour of the world. This insight is the result of profound faith. However, unbelief prevents the human being from recognising the Deity of Jesus. Therefore, where Jesus Christ is rejected there is evidence of the human beings’ unbelief and such people belong to the world which openly opposes Jesus Christ. And the world will demand to reject Him completely, it wants His name no longer mentioned, it wants to erase all memory of Him and raise subsequent generations in ignorance; it wants to destroy everything that refers to Him and thereby suppress the knowledge of Him and His works. And thus the battle erupts....

Those who follow Him will defend His name, confess Him to the world and readily speak on His behalf and of His teachings.... They will be pursued and yet patiently endure persecution for His name’s sake, they will receive strength from above and the more they are attacked the more eagerly they will proclaim His teachings. God’s power will visibly be with them, his love protects them and the mighty of the world will have to realise that their power is futile. They will have to acknowledge a greater power Whose work is evident. They become outraged and now strive to impose their will by any means and for that reason they shall be punished by God’s hand.... For when human beings arrogantly want to fight against God Himself they are completely controlled by the adversary and then God will put an end to this.... Hence the time will come when laws upon laws are endorsed and people will be placed into a position to choose for or against Christ.... The supporters of the world will let go of Him for mere rewards; they will gain earthly advantages and sell their soul. And many will give up what should be their holiest possession.... the divine Redeemer and Saviour of the world.... Yet those who suffer persecution for His name’s sake will be blessed a thousand-fold because He Himself will approach them and lead them into battle and victory will be where He Himself is in command. And even if it seems as if the enemies’ intentions might succeed, the battle only lasts a short time, but those who fight for the name of Jesus will be victorious....

Luta contra os ensinamentos de Cristo.... Perseguição daqueles que o confessam....

É indiscutivelmente melhor professar a igreja de Cristo perante todo o mundo do que estar à vontade do adversário e negar a Cristo. Pois aquele que é poderoso no mundo não tem o poder de parar o que Deus envia contra ele. Aquele que nega Cristo nega a Deus, ainda que ele fale o Seu nome como prova da sua fé. Pois se ele acredita profundamente, também reconhece a divindade de Cristo, pois então ele está em amor e o amor afirma Jesus Cristo como Filho de Deus e Redentor do mundo. Esta realização é uma consequência de uma fé profunda. A incredulidade, porém, torna o homem incapaz de reconhecer a divindade de Jesus. Portanto, se Jesus Cristo é rejeitado, a prova da incredulidade do ser humano também é dada, e tais pessoas pertencem ao mundo que se opõe abertamente a Jesus Cristo. E este mundo vai exigir que Ele seja completamente rejeitado; quer que o Seu nome não seja mais mencionado, quer apagar toda a memória Dele e educar as gerações vindouras na ignorância; quer destruir tudo o que se refere a Ele e assim impedir o conhecimento d'Ele e do Seu trabalho. E assim a batalha vai começar.... Aqueles que aderirem a Ele defenderão Seu nome, O confessarão diante do mundo e falarão zelosamente por Ele e Seus ensinamentos.... Eles serão perseguidos e ainda assim suportarão pacientemente a perseguição pelo Seu nome, e receberão força do alto para que proclamem os Seus ensinamentos com tanto mais avidez quanto mais se opuserem. E a força de Deus estará visivelmente com eles e o Seu amor os protegerá, e os poderosos do mundo terão de reconhecer que o seu poder não é páreo para isso. Eles terão de reconhecer um mais poderoso cuja actividade é óbvia. E isso os ultraja, e agora eles tentarão se afirmar e afirmar sua vontade por todos os meios e serão castigados pela mão de Deus por isso. Pois na medida em que as pessoas presumem querer lutar contra o próprio Deus, elas estão no pior poder do adversário, e então Deus porá um fim a isso.... E assim chegará o momento em que as leis sobre leis serão promulgadas e os homens serão confrontados para decidir a favor ou contra Cristo.... E os seguidores do mundo O entregarão por vã recompensa; ganharão vantagem terrena e venderão as suas almas. E haverá muitos deles que desistirão do que deveria ser sua posse mais sagrada.... o divino Redentor e Salvador do mundo.... Mas aqueles que sofrem perseguição por causa do Seu nome serão abençoados mil vezes, pois Ele mesmo se aproxima deles e os conduz à batalha, e a vitória estará onde Ele mesmo é o comandante. E mesmo que pareça que os adversários serão bem sucedidos no seu plano, a batalha durará pouco tempo, no entanto aqueles que lutarem pelo nome de Jesus serão os vitoriosos....
