Means of grace.... Prayer and activity of love....

And inner peace shall be the sign that God is in him. But those who lack divine grace, because they neither desired nor received it when it was offered to them, find the path to the heights so difficult that they can never travel it, for their strength is too weak and they do not ask for strength from God, even though it is at their disposal. They use none of the means of grace, and their soul is weak and unable to rise up. And yet, God lets the sun of grace shine on them, too, by giving them His Word, and through it, instructing them to consider their soul. He gives them knowledge of the measure of grace to which every human being is entitled. He wants them to pay attention, and not go through earthly life unwarned. And thus, divine grace also reaches the human being unconsciously and only wants to be seized.... And again, it is the human being's free will to grasp God's hand and to accept the divine grace which is utmost lovingly offered to him, and.... once he has been granted this grace, to request it again and again, and thereby receive strength in order to redeem himself during his earthly life. His will is therefore only necessary in order to be able to accomplish everything that will bring salvation to his soul. His will has to seek God, his will has to submit itself to Him, and his will has to consciously strive towards Him and request the strength from God to do so.... He then establishes the connection with his Father of Eternity, he wants to get to God. And this will means his redemption.... And God always and everywhere comes to meet him, He does not demand more from man than he can fulfil, He offers him all means of help which make the ascent possible for him, and only demands of the being that it does not behave dismissively but gratefully receives the favours which guarantee the ascent upwards. Yet God does not force the human being's will; and therefore, God's grace cannot be granted to him without his will either, because otherwise the soul would be pushed upwards, thus it would not desire to ascend in complete freedom of will but would compulsorily cover this path upwards. For divine grace is strength from God which demands to return to God again.... Therefore, this power can only be imparted to the being if it likewise desires God of its own free will. This is why free will is indispensable if the being wants to redeem itself from its last embodiment on earth....

Gnadenmittel.... Gebet und Liebetätigkeit....

Und der innere Friede wird das Zeichen sein, daß Gott in ihm ist. Denen es aber an der göttlichen Gnade mangelt, weil sie solche weder begehrten noch in Empfang nahmen, so sie ihnen geboten wurde, ist der Weg zur Höhe so beschwerlich, daß sie ihn nie zurücklegen können, denn ihre Kraft ist zu gering, und sie fordern sich keine Kraft von Gott an, obwohl sie ihnen zu Gebote steht. Sie nützen keines der Gnadenmittel, und ihre Seele ist schwach und unfähig, sich zur Höhe zu erheben. Und dennoch lässet auch diesen Gott die Gnadensonne leuchten, indem Er Sein Wort den Menschen gibt und durch dieses sie hinweiset, ihrer Seele zu gedenken. Er gibt ihnen Kenntnis von dem Gnadenmaß, das einem jeden Menschen zusteht. Er will, daß sie aufmerken und nicht ungewarnt durch das Erdenleben gehen. Und so geht auch dem Menschen unbewußt die göttliche Gnade zu und will nur ergriffen werden.... Und wieder ist es der freie Wille des Menschen, die Hand Gottes zu erfassen und die göttliche Gnade anzunehmen, die ihm so liebreich geboten wird, und.... so er einmal dieser Gnade teilhaftig wurde, sie immer und immer wieder zu erbitten und dadurch Kraft zu empfangen, um sich selbst zu erlösen während seines Erdenlebenswandels. Sein Wille ist also nur erforderlich, um alles vollbringen zu können, was seiner Seele zum Heil gereicht. Sein Wille muß Gott suchen, sein Wille muß sich Ihm unterstellen, und sein Wille muß bewußt Ihm zustreben und dazu die Kraft anfordern von Gott.... Er stellt dann die Verbindung her mit seinem Vater von Ewigkeit, er will zu Gott. Und dieser Wille ist seine Erlösung.... Und Gott kommt ihm immer und überall entgegen, Er fordert von dem Menschen nicht mehr, als dieser erfüllen kann, Er trägt ihm alle Hilfsmittel an, die ihm den Emporstieg möglich machen, und fordert von dem Wesen nur, daß es sich nicht abweisend verhält, sondern dankend die Gnaden in Empfang nimmt, die den Aufstieg zur Höhe gewährleisten. Doch den Willen des Menschen zwingt Gott nicht, und daher kann ihm die Gnade Gottes auch nicht zugehen ohne dessen Willen, weil sonst die Seele zur Höhe gedrängt würde, also nicht in voller Willensfreiheit nach oben verlangt, sondern zwangsmäßig diesen Weg zur Höhe zurücklegen würde. Denn die göttliche Gnade ist Kraft aus Gott, die wieder zu Gott zurückverlangt.... Also kann diese Kraft nur dann dem Wesen vermittelt werden, wenn es aus freiem Willen gleichfalls zu Gott verlangt. Darum ist der freie Wille unerläßlich, so sich das Wesen erlösen will aus seiner letzten Verkörperung auf Erden....
