Exploring and affirming the powers of the mind....

Do not reject what seems incomprehensible to you. And if the working of the spiritual power seems doubtful to you, nevertheless withhold your judgement until you have informed yourselves thoroughly and that again with the help of divine power, which you should implore in prayer. For the human mind is truly not sufficient, and without prayer only the human mind is active. There are so many things that you will not be able to fathom intellectually, and yet you cannot claim that there is no explanation for them.... It must only be sought there, which lies outside the human intellect.... in the spiritual working of those forces which exist just like you, only not visible or tangible to you. However, the latter does not exclude the existence of those beings, for to see with bodily eyes and to hear with bodily ears is also only something earthly conditioned which comes to an end when you leave this earth. spiritual vision, however, is a result of spiritual endeavour, thus it presupposes a certain degree of spiritual maturity, consequently these beings and their activity cannot be visibly perceived. But to want to reject them completely is human error. Those spiritual powers can only be affirmed when the human being has the will to be enlightened about them. This will already makes something appear more credible to him which he otherwise cannot accept as truth, whereas an immediate rejection characterizes that he is not at all willing to fathom something supersensible. The will to know also influences the ability to believe.... However, the will to investigate these spiritual forces is now very minimal amongst people, and the consequence of this is that these forces can only rarely express themselves in such a way that these expressions could be given to them as evidence. Hence the knowledge about these powers is becoming less and less and the willingness to accept them therefore increasingly rarer.... For people always try to explain all extraordinary phenomena intellectually and thereby make the working of the beings impossible. spiritual things want to be researched spiritually.... but intellectual research demands tangible evidence.... The spiritual, however, cannot be proven tangibly. But insofar as the human being uses his intellect less and sincerely asks God for enlightenment and now emotionally expects the answer, it will come to him and no longer appear unacceptable to him, and this is already the working of those spiritual beings which cannot be regocnized in any other way than through the willingness of the will.... through faith....

Erforschen und Bejahen der Geisteskräfte....

Verwerfet nicht, was euch nicht faßlich erscheint. Und so euch das Wirken der Geisteskraft zweifelhaft dünkt, haltet dennoch mit eurem Urteil zurück, bis ihr euch eingehend informiert habt und das wieder mit Hilfe göttlicher Kraft, die ihr im Gebet erflehen sollt. Denn es ist der menschliche Verstand wahrlich nicht ausreichend, und ohne Gebet ist eben nur der menschliche Verstand tätig. Es gibt so viele Dinge, die zu ergründen euch verstandesmäßig nicht gelingen wird, und doch könnt ihr darum nicht behaupten, daß es keine Erklärung dafür gibt.... Nur muß sie dort gesucht werden, was außerhalb des menschlichen Verstandes liegt.... im geistigen Wirken jener Kräfte, die gleich euch existieren, nur euch nicht sichtbar oder greifbar. Letzteres schließt aber nicht das Vorhandensein jener Wesen aus, denn mit den leiblichen Augen zu schauen und mit leiblichen Ohren zu hören ist auch nur etwas irdisch Bedingtes, das mit dem Verlassen dieser Erde sein Ende findet. Das geistige Schauen aber ist eine Folge geistigen Strebens, setzt also einen gewissen geistigen Reifegrad voraus, folglich können diese Wesen und ihr Wirken sichtbar nicht wahrgenommen werden. Sie darum aber gänzlich ablehnen zu wollen ist menschliches Irren. Es sind jene Geisteskräfte erst dann zu bejahen, wenn der Mensch überhaupt den Willen hat, darüber aufgeklärt zu werden. Dieser Wille schon läßt ihm etwas glaubhafter erscheinen, was er sonst nicht als Wahrheit annehmen kann, wohingegen ein sofortiges Ablehnen kennzeichnet, daß er gar nicht willens ist, etwas Übersinnliches zu ergründen. Der Wille zu wissen beeinflußt auch die Glaubensfähigkeit.... Der Wille, jene Geisteskräfte zu erforschen, ist aber nun sehr minimal unter den Menschen, und die Folge davon ist, daß sich diese Kräfte auch nur selten äußern können so, daß diese Äußerungen ihnen als Beweis geliefert werden könnten. Also wird das Wissen um diese Kräfte immer geringer und die Annahmewilligkeit daher immer seltener.... Denn immer versuchen die Menschen, verstandesmäßig alle außergewöhnlichen Erscheinungen zu erklären und machen dadurch das Wirken der Wesen unmöglich. Geistiges will geistig erforscht werden....verstandesmäßiges Forschen aber fordert greifbare Beweise.... Geistiges jedoch kann greifbar nicht bewiesen werden. Sofern der Mensch aber weniger seinen Verstand gebraucht und Gott innig um Erleuchtung bittet und nun gefühlsmäßig die Antwort erwartet, wird diese ihm zugehen und ihm nicht mehr unannehmbar erscheinen, und dies ist schon das Wirken jener geistigen Wesen, die anders nicht erkannt werden können als durch die Bereitschaft des Willens.... durch den Glauben....
