Concern for the souls' salvation.... Utterly unselfish neighbourly love....

Every undisturbed hour should be used to work for the benefit of the human race.... Spiritual wellbeing should take precedence over earthly interests, because there is no time to lose. The demon likewise makes use of every opportunity to spiritually damage the human race, and so the opposing power must constantly be at work in order to prevent his actions; good spiritual forces must unite in their work against this power, and thus neither indifference nor carelessness may arise, which would only serve the adversary's purpose. For then he will only intensify his activity, he will also weaken people's determination and wear them out if they do not diligently work against him.... What's more, it is a transgression against the commandment of neighbourly love if people slacken in the battle for the salvation of souls which are in need of help. It should be your greatest concern to help those who are approaching their spiritual downfall. Don't leave them in their spiritual darkness and turn away from them indifferently, for they need your help. They are weak and no longer able to release themselves from the power of the opponent. In their dark and lightless surroundings they do not recognise their soul's adversity and therefore do not desire light. Even so, you should make an effort to kindle a small light and bring these poor souls a tiny glimmer of it, so that they will take notice and pay attention to your activity. You should leave no stone unturned in changing their indifference of spiritual knowledge into interest; you should show their thoughts the right path, your should educate them and beseech them to remember their soul and to understand the meaning of life; you should try to persuade them to have faith in Jesus Christ and explain that a life of love on earth is far more beneficial than only to live for selfish love, for the fulfilment of earthly wishes. You should not withhold anything from them which made you find the path of ascent; you should acquaint them with the teaching of Jesus Christ and the fact that they can only ascend through kind-hearted service. You should do everything possible which can guide these souls out of the spiritual night into the light of day. Then you will be kind-heartedly active in the truest sense of the word. This is the most unselfish neighbourly love because it only applies to a fellow human being's salvation of soul. This task requires infinite love and patience, for it is very difficult to persuade the beings in darkness to accept the Word of God; they will staunchly resist it, because the opponent himself is your strongest adversary and incites people's will into most powerful resistance. Nevertheless, a person's love can be victorious if these souls are tirelessly and patiently fought for with these very means of love.... Not the external person but the soul needs to be paid attention to, which is in a pitiful state and can no longer muster the strength to release itself from the opponent's shackles. Hence the love of an enlightened person, that is, someone who knows the truth, will recognise the adversity of such souls and not slacken in his effort for them. He will try to help them through heartfelt prayer, he will present this soul's hardship to the Father in Heaven and appeal to Him for strength to accomplish the redemptive work, if his own strength is not sufficient and the person's will begins to tire before the soul has been won over for eternal life. Therefore you should constantly be active with love, and give all your love to your fellow human beings' souls which suffer adversity. Don't let yourselves be depressed by failures but always desire the strength from God, then you will be able to solve the most difficult tasks, you will snatch the souls from the opponent and lead them to the heavenly Father, and these souls will be grateful to you for all eternity....

La preoccupazione per la salvezza dell’anima nell’amore disinteressato per il prossimo

Dev’essere utilizzata ogni ora libera per un lavoro, che è rivolto al bene dell’umanità. Al bene terreno dev’essere preposto il bene spirituale, perché non c’è tempo da perdere. Il demone sfrutta pure ogni occasione per danneggiare spiritualmente l’umanità, e perciò la Forza contraria dev’essere attiva ininterrottamente, per impedire la sua opera; la buona Forza spirituale si deve unire con l’agire contro questo potere, perciò non deve subentrare nessuna tiepidezza e trascuratezza, che sarebbe soltanto d’utilità per l’avversario, perché costui s’adopera ora con più forza, indebolisce anche la forza di volontà di coloro che non sono ferventi nel lavoro d’opposizione, lui fa in modo che costoro si stanchino. Colui che cede nella lotta per la salvezza delle anime bisognose d’aiuto, infrange il Comandamento dell’amore per il prossimo, perché dev’essere la vostra preoccupazione più fervente di aiutare coloro che sono vicini al naufragio spirituale. Non dovete lasciarli nell’oscurità dello spirito e non distogliervi indifferenti da loro perché hanno bisogno del vostro aiuto. Sono deboli e non più in grado di liberarsi dal potere dell’avversario. Non riconoscono la miseria della loro anima, perché intorno a loro tutto è buio e senza Luce, perciò non desiderano nemmeno la Luce. Ma il vostro sforzo dev’essere, di accendere la lucetta e portare a questi poveri un piccolo bagliore di Luce, affinché si rendano conto ed osservino la vostra attività. Dovete tentare di tutto, per tramutare l’indifferenza in attenzione contro il sapere spirituale; dovete indicare la giusta via ai loro pensieri, dovete istruirli e esortarli di pensare alla loro anima e di afferrare il senso della vita; dovete cercare di muoverli all’accettazione della fede in Gesù Cristo e presentare loro, quanto più benefico sia un cammino sulla Terra nell’amore, che vivere solamente nell’amor proprio, nell’esaudimento di desideri terreni. Non dovete nascondere loro nulla di ciò che ha fatto trovare a voi la via verso l’Alto, dovete sottoporre loro l’Insegnamento di Cristo, che possono giungere in Alto solamente attraverso il servire nell’amore. Dovete fare tutto ciò che può condurre queste anime fuori dalla notte dello spirito nella chiarezza del giorno. Allora siete attivi nell’amore nel più vero senso della parola. Questo amore che serve soltanto alla salvezza dell’anima del prossimo, è il più disinteressato per il prossimo. Questo è un compito che richiede infinito amore e pazienza, perché gli esseri che si trovano nell’oscurità, sono i più difficili da muovere all’accettazione della Parola di Dio; opporranno ogni resistenza, perché l’avversario stesso è il vostro più acerrimo avversario e spinge la volontà di questi uomini alla più forte resistenza. Ciononostante l’amore dell’uomo può essere vincitore, se nella pazienza che mai si stanca viene sempre di nuovo lottato per queste anime appunto con i mezzi dell’amore. Non si deve badare all’uomo esteriore, ma alla sua anima, che è in uno stato commiserevole e lei stessa non ha più la forza di liberarsi dalle catene, che le ha messo l’avversario. Chi si trova ora nella Luce, cioè nel sapere circa la Verità, il suo amore riconoscerà la miseria di tali anime e non cederà nel suo sforzo di salvarle. Cercherà di portare loro l’aiuto nell’intima preghiera, presenterà la miseria di quest’anima al Padre nel Cielo e chiederà a Lui la Forza per l’Opera di Redenzione, quando la propria forza non vuole bastare e la volontà dell’uomo si stanca, prima che l’anima sia conquistata per la Vita eterna. Perciò siate attivi ininterrottamente nell’amore e rivolgete l’amore ai prossimi le cui anime si trovano nella miseria. Non lasciatevi schiacciare dall’insuccesso, ma desiderate sempre la Forza da Dio, allora sarete in grado di risolvere i compiti più difficili, strapperete le anime all’avversario e le guiderete al Padre celeste, e queste anime ve lo ringrazieranno in tutta l’Eternità.
