Value of spiritual knowledge....earthly knowledge....

The human being lacks the right realization as long as he has not yet penetrated spiritual knowledge, for only this brings him closer to realization. Earthly knowledge certainly contributes towards mastering earthly life and fulfilling its requirements, but it does not have the slightest influence on the state of the soul, which should be given the same care as the physical state but which is taken more seriously in earthly life. spiritual knowledge is the soul's nourishment, it is the only thing beneficial to the soul which gives it strength to fulfil its task in life. He who cultivates spiritual knowledge need not worry about his soul, for it now receives sufficiently what it needs for higher development, whereas earthly knowledge again only brings success to the body and favours an earthly life of well-being. The human being must realize that all endeavours in earthly life must serve a useful purpose after all, and thus the true purpose of earthly as well as spiritual knowledge must be examined as to how far it corresponds to the human being's desire and is therefore worth striving for. Earthly knowledge contributes to the increase of earthly well-being, but the latter is the greatest danger for the soul if it takes the body's desire into account, i.e. wants, feels and thinks what increases the body's well-being. The soul's danger lies in the spiritual stagnation that inevitably occurs when the body alone is respected. But the body only has a short duration of existence, afterwards the soul stands empty and without merit at the gate of eternity, and unspeakable torments are the consequences of the wrong will, of the striven-for earthly knowledge, which does not bring it the slightest relief in the beyond. However, anyone who strives for spiritual knowledge already attains a high degree of maturity on earth, for the spiritual knowledge imparted to him impels the soul to take care of its higher development. It pays no attention to the body and constantly endeavours to use earthly life in accordance with spiritual knowledge, which will already bring it greatest success on earth and will be indescribably redeeming in the beyond. For to stand in spiritual knowledge means a penetration into God's reign and activity; it means to have knowledge of God's current of power, of God's love, omnipotence and wisdom, of the radiation of His spirit, of the purpose and meaning of all creation and the favours which man can gain for himself if only he wants to. The knowledge of all this is the motivation to consciously work on oneself; it allows the physical desire to recede into the background and the desire for God to become the purpose of life. spiritual knowledge therefore promotes the state of the soul and puts the human being in a position to mould himself into a being of light already on earth. spiritual knowledge first benefits the soul but does not leave the body unnoticed either, for it will now also be given what it needs if the soul is thought of first and the bodily desire for the sake of the soul is disregarded. And the departure from this world will be an easy one and lead the soul towards eternal glory, for it will pass over with an unimaginable wealth, it will take all the treasures it has acquired on earth through spiritual knowledge with it, as it were. It possesses something that can never be taken away from it again and the entrance into eternity will mean happiness and eternal bliss for it....

Il valore del sapere spirituale - Il sapere terreno

All’uomo manca la giusta conoscenza, finché non è ancora penetrato nel sapere spirituale, perché soltanto questo lo porta più vicino alla conoscenza. Il sapere terreno contribuisce bensì ad affrontare la vita terrena e le sue pretese, ma non ha la minima influenza sullo stato dell’anima, alla quale dev’essere rivolta la stessa cura come allo stato corporeo, il quale però viene considerato più importante nella vita terrena. Il sapere spirituale è il nutrimento dell’anima, è l’unico adeguato all’anima, che le dà la Forza per il compito della vita. Chi cura il sapere spirituale, non deve essere preoccupato per la sua anima, perché ora riceve in abbondanza ciò di cui ha bisogno per lo sviluppo verso l’Alto, mentre il sapere terreno procura nuovamente soltanto dei successi al corpo e favorisce un ben vivere terreno. L’uomo deve avere la chiarezza che tutte le aspirazioni nella vita terrena devono servire ad un utile scopo, e quindi il vero scopo del sapere terreno, come quello del sapere spirituale, è di venir sottoposto ad una osservazione, fin dove corrisponde al desiderio dell’uomo e quindi conviene ad aspirarvi. Il sapere terreno contribuisce ad aumentare il ben vivere terreno, ma quest’ultimo è il più grande pericolo per l’anima, se questa tiene conto del desiderio del corpo, quindi vuole, sente e pensa ciò che aumenta il benessere del corpo. Il pericolo dell’anima consiste nell’arresto spirituale, che subentra inevitabilmente, quando viene badato soltanto al corpo. Questo però ha soltanto una breve durata d’esistenza, dopo l’anima si trova vuota e immeritevole davanti alla Porta dell’Eternità, e le conseguenze della volontà invertita sono indicibili tormenti, perché ha aspirato al sapere terreno, che nell’aldilà non le procura il minimo alleggerimento. Ma chi aspira al sapere spirituale, raggiunge già sulla Terra un alto grado di maturità, perché ciò che gli viene trasmesso come sapere spirituale, spinge l’anima a provvedere al suo sviluppo verso l’Alto. Non bada al corpo e si sforza continuamente di utilizzare la vita terrena rispetto al sapere spirituale, cosa che le procurerà grandi successi già sulla Terra e viene percepito indescrivibilmente liberatorio nell’aldilà. Perché stare nel sapere spirituale significa un penetrare nell’Operare ed Agire di Dio; significa aver conoscenza della Corrente di Forza di Dio, dell’Amore, Onnipotenza e Sapienza di Dio, dell’Irradiazione del Suo Spirito, dello scopo e senso di ogni Creazione e degli apporti di Grazie, che l’uomo si può conquistare, se soltanto lo vuole. Il sapere di tutto questo è una spinta al cosciente lavoro su sé stesso; fa retrocedere il desiderio corporeo e diventare il desiderio per Dio il contenuto della vita. Il sapere spirituale promuove quindi lo stato dell’anima e mette l’uomo nella situazione di formarsi in un essere di Luce già sulla Terra. Il sapere spirituale procura all’anima dapprima un vantaggio, ma non lascia nemmeno inosservato il corpo, perché gli viene ora dato anche ciò di cui ha bisogno, se viene prima provvista l’anima e non badato al desiderio corporeo per via dell’anima. Ed il decedere da questo mondo sarà facile e l’anima viene guidata nell’eterna Magnificenza, perché vi passa con una innominabile ricchezza, porta per così dire tutti i tesori, che si è conquistati sulla Terra attraverso il sapere spirituale. Possiede qualcosa, che non le può mai più essere tolto, e l’entrata nell’Eternità significa per lei felicità ed eterna Beatitudine.
