Distance from God.... self-knowledge.... union....

In order to reduce the distance from God the human being has to be aware of his distance from Him and thus experience the separation as oppressive or painful, then he will strive to change the unsatisfactory state and thus consciously work on himself in the realization that his own state of maturity has to be raised in order to reduce the distance from God. Self-knowledge is therefore the first condition for conscious soul work, but this is least likely to be found in people, for they do not consider themselves flawed and therefore do nothing to improve their spiritual state. It is extremely difficult to shake the feeling of excellence in people, and yet this is just as necessary, for only a person who regocnizes his own shortcomings will do anything to remedy them. And again, the will for truth is absolutely necessary, for the truth-loving person gives account to himself of his thoughts and actions, and he exercises criticism, thus it is understandable that the person whose heart strives for truth is close to the right path, for his train of thought is guided such that he regocnizes himself and consequently also strives for a change in his nature. And thus, when he regocnizes his shortcomings, he becomes small and humble, he wants to rectify them and appeals to God for strength, and thus he is already approaching the eternal deity, for he wants to go to God.... He regocnizes his unworthy state and wants to escape it.... He feels that he is incapable of doing so on his own and thus requests divine grace, and now the distance from God becomes ever smaller, for when the human being receives the strength from God, which he requires for his spiritual well-being, God's love also takes hold of him and makes his heart capable of love.... And love in turn brings him ever closer to God, love finally cancels out the distance from God completely, love establishes union.... The course on earth has now finally brought about that man has given up his will striving against God and has rejoined his father from eternity of his own will, thus is redeemed from endless long bondage....

Remoção de God.... Autoconhecimento.... Unification....

A fim de reduzir a distância de Deus o ser humano tem de estar consciente da distância a Ele e assim sentir a separação opressiva ou dolorosamente, então ele se esforçará para mudar o seu estado insatisfatório e assim trabalhará conscientemente sobre si mesmo na realização de que o seu próprio estado de maturidade tem de ser elevado a fim de reduzir a distância a Deus. Assim, o autoconhecimento é a primeira condição para o trabalho consciente da alma, mas isso é o mínimo que se pode encontrar nas pessoas, pois elas não se consideram defeituosas e, portanto, não fazem nada para elevar seu estado espiritual. É extraordinariamente difícil sacudir o sentimento de excelência do ser humano e, no entanto, isso é igualmente necessário, pois só o ser humano que reconhece as suas deficiências é que dá a mão para remediar essas deficiências. E mais uma vez, a vontade de verdade é absolutamente necessária, pois a pessoa amante da verdade se dá conta de seus pensamentos e ações, e critica, assim é compreensível que a pessoa cujo coração luta pela verdade esteja perto do caminho certo, pois sua linha de pensamento é guiada de tal maneira que se reconhece a si mesma e, conseqüentemente, também luta por uma mudança em sua natureza. E assim, se ele reconhece as suas deficiências torna-se pequeno e humilde, gostaria de as corrigir e apela a Deus para que lhe dê forças, e assim já se aproxima da Deidade eterna, pois ele quer ir a Deus.... Ele reconhece o seu estado indigno e quer fugir dele.... Ele sente que sozinho não é capaz de o fazer e assim pede a graça divina, e agora a distância de Deus torna-se cada vez menor, pois à medida que o ser humano recebe de Deus a força que exige para o seu bem-estar espiritual, o amor de Deus também se apodera dele e torna o seu coração capaz de amar.... E o amor, por sua vez, o aproxima cada vez mais de Deus, o amor finalmente abole completamente a distância de Deus, o amor estabelece a unificação.... A caminhada na terra fez com que o ser humano desistisse finalmente da sua vontade que luta para Deus e se uniu novamente ao seu Pai desde a eternidade da sua própria vontade, e assim foi redimido de uma longa e interminável escravidão....
