Right thinking.... reducing the distance from God....

Do not resist the thoughts which surround you. Know that spiritual beings constantly look after you, that they try to supply you with spiritual strength, that they want to convey to you what is right, thus truth.... that they want to direct your thoughts such that they will be a blessing for you, for if you think correctly you are seized by divine love. Divine love now has power over you, while the adversary's power over you has been broken.... And this is unspeakably important for life on earth. Standing in the right thinking reduces the distance from God.... The consequence of correct thinking is that the human being's nature is ennobled and God Himself can therefore take ever greater possession of the being because it surrenders itself to Him. For the human being longs for God if his thinking is right.... He is seized by God's love, and this inevitably draws the being to itself, whereas distance from God means a lack of divine love. If a person's thinking is influenced such that he cannot help but long for God, then this is a sign that those beings which try to impart thoughts to him are likewise connected to God, that they therefore try to influence people in a good sense and that therefore these thoughts can be willingly given in to, for they will have no other effect on the person than a good one. On the other hand, the human being is always in danger of wrong thinking if the object of his thoughts is not God but the world. For the world is the kingdom of evil, the world is the kingdom of the one who tries to separate people from God, who tries to increase his power and wants to direct the human being's will in such a way that he fully and completely turns to him alone, i.e. desires everything worldly from the bottom of his heart. And this desire is the admission that the distance from God is right for the human being, that he does not suffer from it but feels comfortable and strives to come closer to the antithesis of God. And then the human being's thinking is wrong, he does not give in to the influence of the good forces but willingly accepts the whisperings of those forces which are in the adversary's service, which are therefore likewise distant from God and lack divine love. How unspeakably important it is to think correctly can be seen from the fact that the activity of the beings of light constantly consists of guiding people's thinking in the right direction, for thinking correctly also means knowing.... to think right means to stand in the truth, and right thinking therefore also assures the human being the realization of everything divine. And he who regocnizes God correctly also desires Him.... he who desires Him reduces the distance from God through his very desire, for his will consciously turns towards God.... And thus, when the human being's will is directed towards God, the spell that has weighed on the being for eternities is broken. The human being has passed the test of earthly life, he has returned to God of his own free will.... He has severed the connection with the opposite pole of God and has entered into an intimate connection with God. His thinking was right, he willingly gave in to those forces that are active for his redemption by absorbing their thoughts and allowing them to have an effect on him, thus making those thoughts his own. For what a person thinks determines his actions.... Right thinking will also make him act rightly, and right action is the fulfilment of divine commandments. Thus, man will always fulfil the divine commandments if his thinking is right, because he uses the spiritual power offered to him in the right sense, he uses it to serve God and his neighbour....

Rechtes Denken.... Verringern der Entfernung von Gott....

Wehret nicht den Gedanken, die euch umspielen. Wisset, daß unausgesetzt geistige Wesen euch betreuen, daß sie versuchen, euch geistige Kraft zuzuführen, daß sie euch das vermitteln wollen, was recht, also Wahrheit, ist.... daß sie eure Gedanken so lenken wollen, daß diese euch zum Segen gereichen, denn so ihr im rechten Denken steht, seid ihr von der göttlichen Liebe erfaßt. Es hat nun die göttliche Liebe Macht über euch, während die Macht des Widersachers über euch gebrochen ist.... Und es ist dies unsagbar wichtig für das Erdenleben. Im rechten Denken zu stehen verringert die Entfernung von Gott.... im rechten Denken zu stehen hat zur Folge, daß sich das Wesen des Menschen veredelt und Gott Selbst daher immer mehr Besitz nehmen kann von dem Wesen, weil es sich Ihm selbst hingibt. Denn es verlangt der Mensch zu Gott, so sein Denken recht ist.... Er ist von der Liebe Gottes erfaßt, und diese ziehet unweigerlich das Wesen an sich, während die Entfernung von Gott Mangel an göttlicher Liebe bedeutet. Wenn nun des Menschen Denken so beeinflußt wird, daß er nicht anders kann, als nach Gott zu verlangen, so ist dies ein Zeichen, daß jene Wesen, die ihm die Gedanken zu vermitteln suchen, gleichfalls Gott-verbunden sind, daß sie also im guten Sinn auf die Menschen einzuwirken versuchen und daß daher jenen Gedanken willig nachgegeben werden kann, denn sie werden nicht anders als gut auf den Menschen wirken. Dagegen ist der Mensch immer in Gefahr des falschen Denkens, so der Gegenstand seiner Gedanken nicht Gott, sondern die Welt ist. Denn die Welt ist das Reich des Bösen, die Welt ist das Reich dessen, der die Menschen zu trennen versucht von Gott, der seine Macht zu vergrößern sucht und den Willen des Menschen so lenken will, daß dieser sich voll und ganz nur ihm zuwendet, d.h. alles Weltliche begehrt aus tiefstem Herzen. Und es ist dieses Verlangen das Eingeständnis, daß dem Menschen die Entfernung von Gott recht ist, daß er nicht darunter leidet, sondern sich wohlfühlt und die Annäherung an den Gegenpol Gottes anstrebt. Und es steht der Mensch dann im falschen Denken, er gibt nicht dem Einfluß der guten Kräfte nach, sondern nimmt willig die Einflüsterungen jener Kräfte in Anspruch, die im Dienst des Widersachers stehen, die also gleichfalls entfernt sind von Gott und göttlicher Liebe entbehren. Wie unsagbar wichtig es ist, im rechten Denken zu stehen, geht daraus hervor, daß die Tätigkeit der Lichtwesen unausgesetzt darin besteht, das Denken der Menschen in die rechte Bahn zu lenken, denn recht denken heißt auch wissen.... recht denken heißt, in der Wahrheit zu stehen, und rechtes Denken sichert daher auch dem Menschen die Erkenntnis alles Göttlichen zu. Und wer Gott recht erkennt, begehrt Ihn auch.... wer Ihn begehrt, der verringert die Entfernung von Gott durch eben sein Begehren, denn sein Wille wendet sich bewußt Gott zu.... Und so also der Wille des Menschen Gott gilt, ist der Bann gebrochen, der Ewigkeiten hindurch auf dem Wesen gelastet hat. Es hat der Mensch die Erdenlebensprobe bestanden, er ist zu Gott zurückgekehrt aus freiem Antrieb.... er hat die Verbindung mit dem Gegenpol Gottes gelöst und ist die innige Verbindung mit Gott eingegangen. Es ist sein Denken recht gewesen, er hat willig nachgegeben jenen Kräften, die für seine Erlösung tätig sind, indem er deren Gedanken aufnahm und auf sich wirken ließ und sich so jene Gedanken zu eigen machte. Denn was der Mensch denkt, bestimmt sein Handeln.... Rechtes Denken wird ihn auch recht handeln lassen, und rechtes Handeln ist die Erfüllung der göttlichen Gebote. Also wird stets der Mensch die göttlichen Gebote erfüllen, so sein Denken recht ist, denn er nützet die ihm gebotene geistige Kraft im rechten Sinn, er nützet sie, um Gott und dem Nächsten zu dienen....
