Aversion to spiritual food.... obstacle....

Enormous obstacles are placed in front of the soul if the human being has an aversion to spiritual food. He piles up the bulwark higher and higher, which he is supposed to remove, and this manifests itself in ever greater worldliness, in keen interest in all earthly things, while the soul is only poorly thought of. Such people spend by far the greater part of their life in inactivity of spirit, for they spend all their thinking only on what is tangible to them and cling to it with extreme tenacity, not realizing that everything comes to an end with their departure from this world. They call concern for their soul's salvation useless and fruitless, or they cling to sham faith and sham worship and are convinced of their infallibility so that they believe they need no instruction. And what could be offered to them for their souls they let pass by unnoticed.... This depresses the soul and it anaesthetizes itself with self-chosen pleasures to which no spiritual value can be attributed. And so the hour of death will come and with it the realization that it has rejected the greatest grace the lord has bestowed on people. This realization is extremely bitter, for the event can never be reversed and thus the soul cannot be given a degree of maturity afterwards either if the time on earth was not used as far as possible. The lord leads every human being into the proximity of divine activity, the human being himself is always the decisive factor as to whether he utilizes this opportunity and thus matures spiritually or takes no notice of it at all and thus remains spiritually on the same level. And if people would consider this, that they enter the beyond unprepared as it were, and then think of the many days which could have brought them spiritual progress if only they had been willing, then they would now have to muster all willpower to make use of all opportunities. For it is difficult to make up for what the human being failed to do on earth, even though the soul will still be given opportunities to ascend in the beyond. However, it is never possible to achieve the perfection in a short time that earthly life can bring to a willing person. Only he who strives continuously, i.e. who first considers his soul before he does something to his body, will be able to reach a very high level already on earth, which requires an unimaginably long time in the beyond. For earthly life is a blessing for the human being, it has been granted to him for the soul's complete redemption, yet it is not always utilized such that the human being can enter the kingdom of light, which promises unimaginable delights, immediately after his passing away. What the human being did not want to hear on earth he will have to accept in the beyond if he does not want to remain inactive on the lowest level as an unfinished spirit and be dependent on the mercy of the beings of light or the prayers of people still on earth.... And this is the fate of those who reject what is offered to them from above and make no effort whatsoever to improve the state of their soul, for they are faced with an almost insurmountable task when realization finally comes to them....

L’antipatia verso il Cibo spirituale - L’ostacolo

Si mettono imponenti ostacoli davanti all’anima, se l’uomo ha un’antipatia verso il Cibo spirituale. Lui innalza sempre di più il muro di difesa, che deve però abbattere, e questo si mostra in una sempre maggior mondanizzazione, nel vivo interesse per tutto il terreno, mentre all’anima viene provveduto solo in modo scarso. Tali uomini trascorrono la maggior parte della loro vita nell’inattività dello spirito, perché impiegano tutto il loro pensare soltanto per qualcosa che possono toccare e perciò ne sono attaccati con la più estrema ostinazione, non pensando che tutto ha una fine con il loro decesso da questo mondo. Chiamano inutile ed infruttuosa la preoccupazione per la salvezza dell’anima, oppure seguono la fede apparente ed il servizio apparente per Dio e sono convinti della loro infallibilità, in modo che credono di non aver bisogno di altri insegnamenti. E quello che ora potrebbe essere loro offerto per la loro anima, lo lasciano passare inosservato. Questo opprime l’anima, e si intontisce con gioie scelte da lei, alle quali non è da attribuire nessun valore spirituale. E così verrà l’ora della morte e con questa la conoscenza, di aver rifiutata la più grande Grazia che il Signore ha fatto giungere agli uomini. Questa conoscenza è estremamente amara, perché quello che è accaduto non può più essere annullato e così nemmeno all’anima può essere procurato un grado di maturità successivamente, se il tempo terreno non è stato utilizzato per quanto era possibile. Il Signore conduce ogni uomo nella vicinanza dell’Agire divino, è sempre l’uomo stesso che decide, se da quest’occasione ne trae un’utilità e quindi maturi spiritualmente, oppure non ne prende nessuna notizia e quindi spiritualmente rimane sullo stesso gradino. E se gli uomini volessero pensare a questo, che entrano per così dire impreparati nell’aldilà, e poi pensano ai molti giorni che potevano procurare loro il progresso spirituale, se soltanto fossero stati volenterosi, allora dovrebbero ora impiegare tutta la forza di volontà per approfittare di tutte le occasioni. Perché difficilmente si può recuperare ciò che l’uomo ha mancato di fare sulla Terra, anche se nell’aldilà all’anima vengono ancora date delle opportunità di giungere in Alto. Ma non è mai più possibile raggiungere quella perfezione in breve tempo, che la vita terrena può procurare ad un uomo volenteroso. Solo chi aspira del continuo, cioè pensa alla sua anima prima che faccia qualcosa per il suo corpo, a lui sarà possibile raggiungere un gradino molto alto già sulla Terra, per cui nell’aldilà sarebbe necessario un tempo inimmaginabilmente lungo. Perché la vita terrena è una Grazia per l’uomo, gli è stata concessa per la definitiva Redenzione dell’anima, ma non viene sempre utilizzata in modo che l’uomo subito dopo il suo decesso possa entrare nel Regno di Luce, che promette insospettate delizie. Quello che l’uomo non ha voluto ascoltare sulla Terra, lo dovrà accettare nell’aldilà, se non vuole rimanere inattivo sul gradino più inferiore come spirito imperfetto e dipendere dalla misericordia di esseri di Luce oppure della preghiera di uomini che dimorano ancora sulla Terra. E questa è la sorte di coloro, che respingono ciò che viene loro offerto dall’Alto, e non fanno nulla per migliorare lo stato delle loro anime, perché si trovano di fronte ad un compito quasi insuperabile, quando viene loro finalmente la conoscenza.
