Subordination of the will.... liberation of the spirit....

If the will of man subordinates itself to the divine will, then that transformation takes place in the soul of man which liberates the spirit. The transformation of thinking has now taken place, the will, which previously rebelled against the creator, has now become soft and submissive; the human being regocnizes the creator's wisdom and love, and he knows that only God's love ever determines every event, and thus he humbly submits to everything that comes upon him. And now the spirit is free, which was previously inhibited by the will striving against God.... A transformation of the whole person now takes place. To a certain extent, he now lives in a sphere that was previously alien to him.... The spirit within him gives him knowledge of his true home, and now that the human being's will is no longer an obstacle, he is also able to visualize this home, for he allows himself to be guided by the spirit that announces itself to him. The weak-willed human being can also be easily guided, both by good and bad power, but the weakness of the will does not contribute to the complete liberation of the spirit.... For the weakness of will is always utilized by the opposing power and strengthened in a God-resisting sense. The human being must submit his will to the divine will with full awareness.... This also requires a certain strength of will which turns towards God.... while the weakness of will makes the human being fickle but does not always decide in favour of God. Submitting one's own will to God will always involve a certain struggle, for man is far more likely to demand that which is opposed to the divine will. Thus, if he wants to serve God, fulfil His will and unconditionally submit himself to the divine will, he must be in constant battle with his desires, with himself and everything that appears beneficial to the body. Yet this constant battle with himself also leads him closer to victory.... Once he has succeeded in completely conquering his will and recognizing only the divine will, divine love gives him far more precious things than he has given up. He slowly slips from this earth into the spheres of the spiritual.... He regocnizes more and more the worthlessness of everything he has given up and the precious treasure he has now unearthed.... God Himself offers him something that cannot be acquired earthly in any other way. He imparts to him divine truth, profound knowledge and the highest power of realization. And so the human being begins a second life, as it were, which differs considerably from the previous one, earthly life recedes into the background and the love, wisdom and omnipotence of God is revealed before the human being's spiritual eye.... Man gains insight into divine activity and the meaning and purpose of creation becomes apparent to him. For when man has sacrificed his will, he has fulfilled the actual purpose of life. He has regocnized his origin from God and now no longer resists Him but turns to Him with full awareness and free will.... He has given up his resistance, which for millennia had caused the being to flee from God, and now seeks to achieve the final union with Him.... And thus the subordination of one's own will to the divine will is absolutely necessary for the soul's final redemption....

La sottomissione della volontà – La liberazione dello spirito

Se la volontà dell’uomo si subordina alla Volontà divina, allora quel cambiamento si svolge nell’anima dell’uomo che libera lo spirito. Ora si è svolta la trasformazione del pensare, è la volontà che dapprima si era ribellata contro il Creatore, ora è diventata morbida e malleabile; l’uomo riconosce la Sapienza e l’Amore del Creatore, e sa che soltanto sempre l’Amore di Dio determina ogni avvenimento, e quindi si adegua in tutto ciò che viene su di lui. Ed ora lo spirito è libero, mentre prima veniva ostacolato attraverso la volontà che tendeva contro Dio, ora si svolge un cambiamento di tutto l’uomo, egli vive, in certo qual modo in una sfera, che gli era estranea finora. Lo spirito in lui gli dà conoscenza della sua vera Patria, ed ora, dato che la volontà dell’uomo non è più d’ostacolo, può anche immaginarsi questa Patria, perché si lascia dirigere dallo spirito che gli si annuncia. Però l’uomo di debole volontà si lascia dirigere facilmente, sia dalla Forza buona come da quella cattiva, ma la debolezza non contribuisce definitivamente alla liberazione dello spirito, perché la debolezza di volontà viene sempre sfruttata dal potere avverso e rafforzato nel senso che tende contro Dio. L’uomo deve sottoporre nella piena consapevolezza la sua volontà alla Volontà divina. Di questo fa parte anche una certa forza di volontà che si rivolge appunto a Dio, mentre la debolezza della volontà rende l’uomo instabile, e non sempre si decide per Dio. Sottomettere la propria volontà a Dio richiede sempre una certa lotta, perché l’uomo richiede piuttosto ciò che è orientato contro la Volontà divina. Se dunque vuole servire Dio, adempiere la Sua Volontà ed adeguarsi incondizionatamente alla Volontà divina, allora deve stare nella costante lotta con i suoi desideri, con sé stesso e con tutto ciò che sembra piacevole al corpo. Ma questa costante lotta con sé stesso lo porta anche più vicino alla vittoria. Quando è riuscito a vincere totalmente la sua volontà ed a riconoscere soltanto la Volontà divina, l’Amore divino gli da qualcosa di molto più Prezioso di ciò a cui ha rinunciato. Egli scivola lentamente da questa Terra nelle sfere dello spirituale. Egli riconosce sempre di più l’inutilità di tutto ciò a cui ha rinunciato, ed il Tesoro prezioso che ora ha sollevato. Dio Stesso gli offre qualcosa che terrenamente non può essere conquistato per altre vie. Esso gli trasmette la Verità divina, il sapere più profondo e la più alta Forza di conoscenza. E quindi l’uomo comincia una seconda vita, che devia notevolmente da quella vissuta finora, la vita terrena retrocede in seconda fila, e davanti all’occhio spirituale dell’uomo si svela l’Amore, la Sapienza e l’Onnipotenza di Dio. L’uomo conquista uno sguardo nell’Agire divino, e gli si rivela il senso e lo scopo della Creazione. Perché quando l’uomo ha sacrificato la sua volontà, ha adempiuto il vero scopo della vita. Ha riconosciuto la sua origine in Dio ed ora non si ribella più a Lui, ma Gli si rivolge con piena consapevolezza e nella libera volontà. Egli ha deposto la sua resistenza, che ha mosso l’essere per dei millenni a sfuggire a Dio, ed ora cerca di raggiungere l’ultima unificazione con Lui. E così la subordinazione della propria volontà alla Volontà divina è assolutamente necessaria per l’ultima Redenzione dell’anima.
