Flight of the spirit.... spheres of the spirit.... home....

In an incredibly short time a person achieves the ability to send his spirit upwards at any time, if only he consciously strives for this and spares no effort and perseverance. He must first overcome his body and its desires so that the body is never an obstacle to this endeavour.... the spirit's flight of fancy must often be realized.... it must not encounter any resistance in the form of external distractions that repeatedly hold it back on earth. This requires a certain amount of self-conquest, a disregard for everything physical and an upward swing of all thoughts to the heights. The detachment from earth will always take some effort and will have to be practiced constantly, for the heaviness of earth still holds the human being too tightly in its grip, yet the deeper love for God fills the heart, the more longingly the spirit strives towards Him and the easier the detachment from earth will be able to take place, for again it is love for the world which has to be overcome.... and again love for God which brings fulfilment.... Giving the one means receiving the other, but both cannot be practiced at the same time. One will always have to be neglected at the expense of the other. And so man seeks to rid himself of love for the world, so that love for God may bring him the union of the spirit within him with the spirit of God.... To consciously raise himself into those spheres where all good spiritual power works is of incalculable value, man does not regocnize this in its full meaning, however, success will confirm to him the truth of these words, because man becomes knowing, and that without any earthly help.... He draws from a source which is not visible to his fellow human being and therefore incomprehensible. Yet the refreshing potion is offered to him and he can now visibly prove what he has received spiritually to people, he can pass the potion on and those who desire it may also savour it.... The earthly child has, as it were, received spiritual strength because it consciously turned upwards. It has returned from those spheres with rich gifts and informs its fellow human beings of what has been offered to it. And if he allows the spiritually received gifts to affect him with an open eye and heart, he will also feel the strength and regocnize the origin of these gifts. The human being receives the gift he requests.... If his spirit is willing to take the path to the heights, he will also be rewarded accordingly from on high. The eternal deity Himself will share all strength with him and send His spirit towards the child so that it may instruct it and form and increase its knowledge, for now the child is ready for divine teachings and divine wisdom, its heart and intellect will also be able to receive what is offered, for everything emanates from God, intellect and thinking ability, and if the lord deems His living creations worthy He will consider them such that they will be able to correctly grasp everything that is imparted to them.... The will to reach upwards will lead them to deepest knowledge.... For God considers those who willingly detach themselves from earth and regocnize their true home in the spheres of the spirit....

Hoge vlucht van de geest – Sferen van de geest – Vaderland

Binnen ongelofelijk korte tijd bereikt de mens de bekwaamheid om zijn geest steeds naar de hoogte te kunnen sturen als hij dit maar bewust nastreeft en geen moeite en volharding schuwt. Er moet eerst een overwinning op zijn lichaam en diens verlangens aan voorafgaan, zodat het lichaam voor dit streven nooit een hindernis zal zijn. De geestelijke hoge vlucht moet vrij vaak uitgevoerd worden. Het mag niet op tegenstand in de vorm van afleiding van buiten stuiten, die hem weer op aarde tegenhoudt.

Daar hoort een zekere zelfoverwinning bij. Een veronachtzaming van al het lichamelijke en een opzwaaien van alle gedachten naar de hoogte. Het losmaken van de aarde zal steeds enige inspanning vergen en moet onophoudelijk beoefend worden, want de zwaartekracht houdt de mens nog te vast omklemd. Maar hoe dieper de liefde voor God het hart vervult, met des te meer verlangen streeft de geest Hem tegemoet en des te gemakkelijker zal de losmaking van de aarde plaats kunnen vinden, want weer is het de liefde voor de wereld, die overwonnen moet worden. En weer is het de liefde voor God, die vervulling brengt.

Het ene opgeven, betekent het andere ontvangen, maar beide tegelijkertijd beoefenen, kan niet. Steeds zal het ene ten koste van het andere verwaarloosd moeten worden. En zodoende probeert de mens zich van de liefde voor de wereld te bevrijden, opdat de liefde voor God hem de verbinding van de geest in zich met de geest van God oplevert. Het is onnoemelijk waardevol om zich bewust in die sfeer te verheffen, waar alle goede geestelijke krachten werkzaam zijn. De mens beseft dat niet in zijn volle betekenis, maar het succes zal hem de waarheid van deze woorden bevestigen, want de mens wordt wetend. En dat zonder enige aardse hulp.

Hij put uit een bron, die voor de medemensen niet zichtbaar en daarom onbegrijpelijk is. Maar de verkwikkende drank wordt hem geboden en hij kan hetgeen geestelijk ontvangen is nu zichtbaar aan de mensen bewijzen. Hij kan de drank doorgeven en degenen, die ernaar verlangen, mogen zich eveneens laven. Het mensenkind heeft als het ware geestelijke kracht in ontvangst genomen, omdat het zich bewust naar boven wendde. Het is met rijke gaven uit deze sferen teruggekomen en het maakt de medemensen bekend wat hem aangeboden is. En als dit geopende oog en hart datgene wat geestelijk ontvangen is op zich in laat werken, zal hij ook de kracht opmerken en herkennen van welke oorsprong deze gaven zijn.

De mens ontvangt de gave, die hij vraagt. Als zijn geest genegen is om de weg naar de hoogte te nemen, dan zal hij ook dienovereenkomstig uit de hoogte bedacht worden. De eeuwige Godheid Zelf geeft hem alle kracht en stuurt het kind Zijn geest tegemoet, opdat deze geest het kind onderricht en zijn kennis ontwikkelt en vergroot, want nu is het kind klaar voor goddelijke leringen en goddelijke wijsheid. Ook zijn hart en zijn verstand zijn in staat om hetgeen aangeboden is op te nemen, want alles gaat van God uit, verstand en de bekwaamheid om te denken. En als de Heer Zijn schepselen waardig acht, zal Hij hen zo bedenken, dat ze alles, wat aan hen overgedragen wordt, goed kunnen begrijpen.

De wil om tot de hoogte te geraken, zal tot de diepste kennis leiden. Want God denkt aan degenen, die zich gewillig van de aarde losmaken en in de sferen van de geest hun ware vaderland herkennen.
