Support for the soul.... without such heavy wrestling....

The soul struggles for its liberation and the battle is not easy. That is why the lord grants you every support, and if the soul is willing, it also feels the help and derives the greatest benefit from it. But the soul that resists has to fight the battle against the hostile power itself and is therefore in great distress. In order to defeat its resistance, in order to make the will of such souls submissive, the lord imposes all kinds of suffering and tribulation on it with the intention that this will have a favourable effect and make the resistance weaken. And therefore especially people who live in permanent defence against the grace accessible to them often have a difficult earthly fate which expresses itself in different ways. It happens not infrequently that all efforts of the spiritual beings in the beyond to help these souls are flatly rejected and that the human being therefore believes that he can master life without any spiritual help.... that he obviously rejects all indications which could offer him help and that he does not gratefully rejoice at the divine word because, in his opinion, everything divine is too high and thus too distant to be able to visibly unite with people on earth. And so they exclude all direct help and the concept of grace is incomprehensible to them should they apply it to their daily life. Only a direct spiritual experience liberates them from this erroneous opinion, and again, precisely such people will be far too sober-minded to want to acknowledge supernatural activity, and thus they would rather dismiss everything without further ado than examine it. And thus the situation will be dire for such a soul which does not want to accept help from any side and yet has too little faith itself to make contact with spiritual strength. They wrestle and wrestle on earth and try to present their opinion as the only correct one, and this is so immensely burdensome for the soul, after all, their difficult struggle on earth is without any success and hardly liberates them from their agonizing situation. And it is extremely difficult to help such a soul, for it regocnizes nothing but what it can see and feel, thus not even the obvious gift of divine grace.... And thus, understandably, it does not enjoy such gifts of grace either and continues to remain in the same darkness of spirit until the human being has become soft and compliant and willingly accepts the grace offered from the father's hand in order to solely help the soul out of hardship and distress....

Unterstützung der Seele.... Ohne solche schweres Ringen....

Es ringet die Seele um ihre Befreiung, und es ist der Kampf nicht leicht. Deshalb gewähret dir der Herr jede Unterstützung, und so die Seele willig ist, verspüret sie auch die Hilfe und zieht größten Nutzen davon. Die Seele aber, die sich sträubet, muß den Kampf gegen die feindliche Macht selbst ausfechten und steht daher in größter Not. Um nun ihren Widerstand zu besiegen, um den Willen solcher Seelen gefügig zu machen, legt ihr der Herr Leiden und Drangsal aller Art auf in der Absicht, daß dieses günstig einwirke und den Widerstand erlahmen lasse. Und daher haben gerade Menschen, die in dauernder Abwehr der ihnen zugänglichen Gnade leben, oft ein schweres irdisches Los, das sich in verschiedener Art äußert. Es geschieht nicht selten, daß alle Bemühungen der jenseitigen Geistwesen, diesen Seelen zu helfen, glatt abgewiesen werden und daß also der Mensch glaubt, ohne jegliche geistige Hilfe das Leben zu meistern.... daß er offensichtlich alle Hinweise ablehnt, durch die ihm Hilfe geboten werden könnte, und daß ihn die Zuwendung des göttlichen Wortes nicht dankend aufjauchzen läßt, weil seines Erachtens nach alles Göttliche zu hoch und also zu weit entfernt ist, als daß Es Sich so sichtlich mit den Menschen auf Erden verbinden könnte. Und so schalten sie jede direkte Hilfe aus, und der Begriff Gnade ist ihnen unverständlich, sollten sie ihn auf ihr tägliches Leben anwenden. Nur ein unmittelbares geistiges Erleben befreit sie von dieser irrigen Ansicht, und wiederum werden gerade solche Menschen viel zu nüchtern denkend sein, als daß sie ein übersinnliches Wirken anerkennen wollen, und sie weisen so kurzerhand lieber alles ab, als daß sie es prüfen möchten. Und so wird es um eine solche Seele schlimm bestellt sein, die von keiner Seite eine Hilfe annehmen will und doch wieder selbst zu schwachen Glauben besitzt, um sich selbst mit geistiger Kraft in Verbindung zu setzen. Sie ringen und ringen auf Erden und suchen, ihre Ansicht als allein richtig hinzustellen, und dies ist so ungeheuer belastend für die Seele, ist doch ihr schweres Ringen auf der Erde ohne jeden Erfolg und befreit sie schwerlich aus ihrer qualvollen Lage. Und einer solchen Seele zu helfen ist überaus schwer, denn sie erkennet nichts an, als was sie sichten und fühlen kann, also auch nicht die offensichtliche Zuwendung von göttlichen Gnaden.... Und so setzet sie sich verständlicherweise auch nicht in den Genuß solcher Gnadenzuwendung und verharrt nach wie vor in gleicher Finsternis des Geistes so lange, bis der Mensch weich und nachgiebig geworden ist und die dargebotene Gnade aus des Vaters Hand willig entgegennimmt, um einzig und allein der Seele aus Not und Bedrängnis zu helfen....
