(continuation of no. 1121) Prerequisite....

The strength of the spirit can only work where it is granted freedom, and thus the spirit of someone who lacks all faith in the dormant spark of God within himself can never express itself. And thus the gulf that separates such people from cognition is unbridgeable until he realizes the worthlessness of everything earthly and his thinking is slowly transformed.... Then the human being does turn to the deity and asks about things which are now answered by the divine spirit, and the power of the spirit now expresses itself, at first still unclear to the human being, however, if he is serious about spiritual knowledge, the answer will become increasingly clearer and more comprehensible to him. Thus the spirit in him has become lively.... spiritual science is either cultivated with full fervour or completely rejected.... The God-seeking, loving human being will always be introduced to it, and he will regocnize that he can still and still draw from this container of wisdom if he is hungry for knowledge, and that every area will be opened up to him through it.... and that in fullest truth and highest perfection. Yet all spiritual influence remains alien to the worldly aspirant, for he pays no attention when he receives corresponding instructions or advice.... His train of thought is so secularized that he has no understanding for the subtle spiritual language of the knower. Everything is so incomprehensible to him that he at best doubts the clear thinking of the latter with regret but never takes such transmissions seriously. And from a purely objective point of view, he cannot prove that a power can express itself in man that is alien to him.... This thought is a nuisance to him and so he does not endeavour to test it for its correctness. And his state of mind remains the same, unfinished, backward and the human being completely ignorant and yet living in the conviction that his knowledge far surpasses that of his fellow human beings. Yet one day these poor people will have to regocnize the hardship their deluded thinking has caused.... For their worldly knowledge will not be valued in the beyond and they are poor and empty in spiritual knowledge.... And if those knowledgeable beings, who were misjudged in earthly life, did not want to help them and take care of their hardship, such souls would truly be in a bad way. And what was so easily available to them on earth now has to be gained with difficulty and effort in the beyond, and the regret about the missed opportunity on earth will torment these beings once they have realized how necessary spiritual knowledge and the working of spiritual strength is for the higher development of all beings....

A força do espírito só pode funcionar onde lhe é concedida liberdade, e assim o espírito de alguém a quem falta toda a fé na centelha adormecida de Deus nele nunca se pode expressar. E assim o abismo que separa tais pessoas da realização é intransponível até que um dia ele tome consciência da inutilidade de todas as coisas terrenas e o seu pensamento mude lentamente..... Então o ser humano se volta para a Deidade, afinal, e pede coisas que depois são respondidas pelo espírito divino, e a força do espírito se expressa, a princípio ainda não é clara para o ser humano; no entanto, se ele é sério sobre o conhecimento espiritual, ele receberá a resposta cada vez mais clara e compreensível. O espírito nele tornou-se, portanto, activo.... A ciência espiritual ou é cultivada com zelo total ou completamente rejeitada.... O ser humano que busca a Deus e ama a Deus será sempre apresentado a ele, e ele reconhecerá que ainda pode tirar desse recipiente de sabedoria se tiver fome de conhecimento, e que todos os campos serão abertos a ele através dela.... e isso na mais completa verdade e na mais alta perfeição. No entanto, toda a influência espiritual permanece estranha ao aspirante mundano, pois ele não presta atenção se receber instruções apropriadas ou dicas..... A sua linha de pensamento é tão mundana que ele não tem compreensão para a linguagem espiritual sutil do conhecedor. Tudo é tão incompreensível para ele que ele, no máximo, duvida do pensamento claro deste último com pesar, mas nunca leva a sério tais transmissões. E puramente factual é impossível para ele provar que um poder pode se expressar no homem que é estranho a si mesmo. Este pensamento é irritante para ele e, portanto, ele não faz um esforço para examiná-lo por sua exatidão. E o seu estado de alma ainda permanece o mesmo, inacabado, atrasado e o ser humano completamente ignorante e ainda vivendo na convicção de que o seu conhecimento supera de longe o dos seus semelhantes. Mas um dia estas pobres pessoas terão de reconhecer a miséria que o seu pensamento cego provocou..... Pois o seu conhecimento mundano não é valorizado no além, e no conhecimento espiritual são pobres e vazios.... E se esses seres conhecedores, que foram mal compreendidos na vida terrena, não quisessem ajudá-los e cuidar de suas adversidades, a situação de tais almas seria verdadeiramente terrível. E o que estava tão facilmente disponível para eles na Terra deve agora ser ganho com dificuldade e esforço no além, e esses seres serão atormentados pelo remorso pela oportunidade perdida na Terra, uma vez que tenham reconhecido como o conhecimento espiritual necessário e o funcionamento da força espiritual é para o desenvolvimento superior de todos os seres....
