(continuation of no. 1121) Prerequisite....
The strength of the spirit can only work where it is granted freedom, and thus the spirit of someone who lacks all faith in the dormant spark of God within himself can never express itself. And thus the gulf that separates such people from cognition is unbridgeable until he realizes the worthlessness of everything earthly and his thinking is slowly transformed.... Then the human being does turn to the deity and asks about things which are now answered by the divine spirit, and the power of the spirit now expresses itself, at first still unclear to the human being, however, if he is serious about spiritual knowledge, the answer will become increasingly clearer and more comprehensible to him. Thus the spirit in him has become lively.... spiritual science is either cultivated with full fervour or completely rejected.... The God-seeking, loving human being will always be introduced to it, and he will regocnize that he can still and still draw from this container of wisdom if he is hungry for knowledge, and that every area will be opened up to him through it.... and that in fullest truth and highest perfection. Yet all spiritual influence remains alien to the worldly aspirant, for he pays no attention when he receives corresponding instructions or advice.... His train of thought is so secularized that he has no understanding for the subtle spiritual language of the knower. Everything is so incomprehensible to him that he at best doubts the clear thinking of the latter with regret but never takes such transmissions seriously. And from a purely objective point of view, he cannot prove that a power can express itself in man that is alien to him.... This thought is a nuisance to him and so he does not endeavour to test it for its correctness. And his state of mind remains the same, unfinished, backward and the human being completely ignorant and yet living in the conviction that his knowledge far surpasses that of his fellow human beings. Yet one day these poor people will have to regocnize the hardship their deluded thinking has caused.... For their worldly knowledge will not be valued in the beyond and they are poor and empty in spiritual knowledge.... And if those knowledgeable beings, who were misjudged in earthly life, did not want to help them and take care of their hardship, such souls would truly be in a bad way. And what was so easily available to them on earth now has to be gained with difficulty and effort in the beyond, and the regret about the missed opportunity on earth will torment these beings once they have realized how necessary spiritual knowledge and the working of spiritual strength is for the higher development of all beings....

El poder del espíritu también sólo puede obrar allí, donde se le concede libertad, y así el espíritu de aquel que carece de cualquier creencia en la chispa divina que duerme dentro de él nunca podrá expresarse. Y así el abismo que separa a tales personas del conocimiento es infranqueable hasta que toman conciencia de la inutilidad de todo lo terrenal y su pensamiento se transforma lentamente.... Entonces el ser humano se dirige hacia la Deidad y pregunta por cosas, que ahora le son respondidas por el espíritu divino, y el poder del espíritu se expresa ahora, al principio todavía no está claro para el hombre, pero si se toma en serio el conocimiento espiritual, la respuesta siempre le llegará cada vez más clara y comprensible para él. Así que el espíritu en él se ha vuelto activo....
La ciencia espiritual se cultiva con pleno celo o se rechaza por completo.... El ser humano que busca y ama a Dios siempre será introducido en ella y reconocerá que puede sacar continuamente de este recipiente de sabiduría si tiene hambre de conocimiento y que cada área se le abre como resultado.... y eso en la más completa verdad y la más alta perfección. Sin embargo, todas las influencias espirituales permanecen ajenas al hombre mundano que se esfuerza terrenalmente, porque no presta atención a las instrucciones o consejos correspondientes que le dieron....
Su línea de pensamiento es tan mundana que no tiene comprensión de este fino lenguaje espiritual del conocimiento. Todo le resulta tan incomprensible que él con lamentable duda de su pensamiento claro, pero que nunca toma en serio tales transmisiones. Y desde un punto de vista puramente factico no puede probar que un poder pueda expresarse en un ser humano que le es ajeno.... este pensamiento le molesta y por lo tanto no hace ningún esfuerzo por corregirlo a su veracidad. Y su estado de alma sigue siendo el mismo, incompleto, atrasado y el hombre completamente ignorante y al mismo tiempo viviendo en la convicción de que su conocimiento supera con creces al de sus semejantes.
Pero un día estos pobres tendrán que reconocer la necesidad que les ha traído su pensamiento ciego.... Porque su conocimiento mundano no será evaluado en el más allá, y ellos son pobres y vacíos de conocimiento espiritual.... Y si esos seres conocedores que fueron incomprendidos en la vida terrenal no les ayudaran y se ocuparan de su adversidad, esas almas estarían realmente mal. Y lo que estaba tan fácilmente disponible para ellos ahora debe ser ganado con dificultad y laboriosamente en el más allá, y el remordimiento por la oportunidad perdida en la tierra atormentará a estos seres una vez que hayan reconocido cuán necesario es el conocimiento espiritual y la obra del poder espiritual para el desarrollo superior de todos los seres....
