Most important task of being on earth....

The first task of earthly existence is and remains the perfection of the soul, and nothing else is so important that this task may be forgotten. And accordingly the whole time on earth must be filled with thoughts how such perfection can be achieved, man must neither become lukewarm nor lazy, and always only the soul is to be thought of, man is always to consider the importance of this his task so that he uses every hour and works his way up. The deity so often points out things to the human being which seem incomprehensible to him and thereby tries to stimulate his thoughts, and only constant contact with the divine lord and saviour will result in the earthly child's successful striving.... Then nothing will seem insurmountable to him that previously stood like a mountain before his spiritual eye. The human being must strive tirelessly, and he must never think that he has already reached his goal.... To achieve this on earth requires an incredible struggle for the truth, a strong, firm will and a childlike love for God.... And if an earthly child strives for all this, he is also guaranteed by the father in heaven that he will reach his goal.... And therefore the human being should pray incessantly for the strength to love God and his neighbour.... and this strength will guide him on all paths....

Wichtigste Aufgabe des Erdendaseins....

Die erste Aufgabe des Erdendaseins ist und bleibt die Vervollkommnung der Seele, und nichts anderes ist so wichtig, daß darüber diese Aufgabe in Vergessenheit geraten darf. Und demnach muß die ganze Erdenzeit ausgefüllt sein mit den Gedanken, wie eine solche Vervollkommnung erreicht werden kann, es darf der Mensch weder lau noch träge werden, und immer nur soll der Seele gedacht werden, immer soll der Mensch bedenken die Wichtigkeit dieser seiner Aufgabe, auf daß er jede Stunde nützet und sich zur Höhe emporarbeitet. Es weiset die Gottheit so oft den Menschen hin auf Dinge, die ihm unverständlich erscheinen, und suchet dadurch die Gedanken dessen anzuregen, und nur ständige Fühlungnahme mit dem göttlichen Herrn und Heiland hat ein erfolgreiches Streben des Erdenkindes zur Folge.... Es wird ihm dann nichts unüberwindlich erscheinen, was zuvor wie ein Berg vor dem geistigen Auge stand. Unermüdlich muß der Mensch streben, und er darf niemals denken, daß er sein Ziel schon erreicht hat.... Um dieses auf Erden noch zu erreichen, gehört ein unglaubliches Ringen um die Wahrheit, ein starker, fester Wille und eine kindliche Liebe zu Gott.... Und so ein Erdenkind dieses alles anstrebt, ist ihm auch vom Vater im Himmel die Garantie gegeben, daß es sein Ziel erreicht.... Und daher soll der Mensch beten unausgesetzt um Kraft zur Liebe zu Gott und zum Nächsten.... und diese Kraft wird ihn führen auf allen Wegen....
