The happiness of the lord's dwelling in the heart....

I look favourably upon the one who sacrifices everything on earth to Me, for since his heart is free from all earthly desires, I can now inhabit it.... and with Me indescribable happiness enters the heart.... which, however, is quite different from earthly happiness.... Those who have received Me into their hearts henceforth desire nothing other than My presence, and since they love Me so dearly, this desire will be fulfilled.... I let Myself be found by My child. I only want its love.... I want it to seek Me and long for Me, and then I am always ready to give Myself away.... I grant supreme happiness to the earthly child who has found Me; I take it to My heart and feed and water it with My love. But I can never grant supreme happiness to the one who still carries other desires in his heart. For every desire for earthly joy makes My abode in such a heart impossible, for the world and I are two opposing poles; the world certainly offers countless comforts from an earthly point of view, but it can never insert the feeling of an intimate bond with Me into the goods it distributes.... this would be so unthinkable because two such opposing concepts could never coincide. Those who love the world and its splendour and magnificence cannot tangibly feel the happiness that the presence of the lord triggers. And conversely, man will detest everything earthly if he is given the grace of closeness to God in return. I embrace such a child with such heartfelt love that it is no longer felt by the body but by the spirit, and the latter suddenly regocnizes its origin and forcefully joins the father from eternity.... It has looked into the light and thus from that very hour no longer fears the darkness either, and once the spirit has regocnized itself and tangibly felt the loving approach in the eternal deity and thus glimpsed heavenly delights all earthly desire is killed, for everything the world offers appears stale and empty to the earthly child and it only ever and ever seeks union with the saviour.... For I promise My own unspeakable bliss already on earth if they carry Me in their hearts.... and no longer pay attention to worldly pleasures....

심장 안으로 주님을 모시는 행복.

나는 이 땅의 모든 것을 나에게 바치는 사람을 기뻐하며 바라본다. 왜냐하면 그의 심장이 세상의 모든 욕망으로부터 자유롭게 되어, 내가 이제 그 안에 살 수 있고, 나와 함께 심장이 말할 수 없는 행복하게 되기 때문이다. 그러나 이 행복은 이 땅의 행복과는 아주 다르다. 나를 심장 안으로 영접한 사람은 이제부터 나의 임재 외에 더 이상의 것을 바라지 않는다. 그들이 나를 너무 긴밀하게 사랑하기 때문에 그들의 갈망은 성취가 된다. 나는 나의 자녀가 나를 찾게 하고, 단지 자녀의 사랑을 원한다. 나는 자녀가 나를 찾고 구하기를 원한다. 그러면 나는 항상 자신을 선물해줄 준비가 되어 있다. 나는 나를 찾은 이 땅의 자녀에게 최고의 행복을 주고, 자녀를 나의 심장으로 영접하고, 나의 사랑으로 먹고 마시게 한다.

그러나 나는 심장 안에 다른 소원을 품고 있는 사람에게 최고의 행복을 줄 수 없다. 왜냐하면 세상의 기쁨을 향한 모든 소원이 그런 소원을 가진 심장 안에 내가 머무르는 일을 불가능하게 만들기 때문이다. 세상과 나는 서로 대립되는 두 개의 상극이기 때문이다. 세상적인 관점에서 볼 때 세상은 확실히 수많은 편안함을 제공한다. 그러나 세상은 세상이 주는 세상의 재물을 받는 사람들에게 나와 긴밀한 관계를 결코 만들어줄 수 없고, 그런 일은 생각할 수도 없는 일이다. 왜냐하면 아주 반대되는 두 개념이 결코 일치가 될 수 없기 때문이다.

세상과 세상의 화려함과 영광을 사랑하는 사람은 주님의 임재가 주는 행복을 구체적으로 느낄 수 없다. 반대로 사람이 하나님과 연결되는 은혜를 받게 되면, 그는 이 땅의 모든 것을 다시 경멸하게 될 것이다. 나는 그런 자녀를 긴밀한 사랑으로 감싼다. 자녀는 이 사랑을 더 이상 육체가 아닌 영으로 느끼고, 그는 갑작스럽게 자신의 근원을 깨닫고, 모든 힘을 드려 영원한 아버지께 속하게 된다.

그는 빛을 보았고, 그러므로 그 순간부터 더 이상 어두움을 두려워하지 않는다. 영이 한번 깨닫고, 영원한 신성이 사랑이 충만하게 접근하는 것을 느끼면, 다시 말해 하늘의 기쁨을 보게 되면, 세상을 향한 모든 갈망이 사라진다. 왜냐하면 이 땅의 자녀에게 세상이 제공하는 것이 공허하고, 헛된 것으로 보이고, 자녀가 항상 단지 구세주와 하나가 되려고 하기 때문이다. 내가 나에게 속한 사람들이 나를 심장 안에 모시고, 세상의 기쁨에 더 이상 주의를 기울이지 않는다면, 그들에게 이미 이 땅에서 말할 수 없는 축복을 약속했기 때문이다.
