Essence of matter....

Matter appears insubstantial to the human being and insubstantial everything that does not visibly harbour life. And he does not consider how serious the stay in matter is for all spiritual things.... how matter is the gathering place of all immature spirit and what an important purpose is therefore intended for matter by the eternal creator.... And therefore matter itself must have originated from the will of God.... Consequently, as God's will having become form it must be something which must endure, it cannot arbitrarily sink back into nothingness but must remain.... and is therefore imperishable, yet changeable in itself. And everything that is imperishable must be spirit, from the spirit of God.... And this spiritual substance out of God is enclosed in a cover which is visible to you humans, thus that which is visible to you as matter is hidden, i.e. encased spiritual substance, the cover of which is nevertheless subject to constant change for the purpose of uniting the spiritual substance and thus of constant increase. This clear explanation gives you information about the disputed question whether and to what extent matter is insubstantial, and it sufficiently explains the importance of everything that comes to light visibly in creation. What exists is all spirit out of God, but to men on earth all spiritual remains again invisible, however must be made recognizable to the human eye and therefore be purely outwardly visible. And therefore the term 'matter' cannot be understood in any other way than that countless spiritual beings took up residence in visible shells created by God for a purpose.... And it is now the task of these beings to break through the cover, therefore to become free of every cover.... i.e. to overcome matter.... Nothing is without purpose in creation, and nothing visible remains unchanged, even the spiritual is constantly changing, yet not visible to the human eye, and this leads the human being (16 Aug. 1939) to the assumption that matter harbours nothing essential, nothing living. Man cannot follow the development of matter in the short time on earth because it often takes an incredibly long time before an old form has dissolved and changed into a new form. And therefore everything that needs a long time to change appears to man as completely dead, as insubstantial, because where man can observe a constant reshaping, there he already admits a certain life in himself, and where a life is ascertained, there one also rather regocnizes the spiritual power, which is just the epitome of 'life'. The more man now gives room to the thought that everything created is, as it were, God's breath, but that the breath of God can never ever be something dead, insubstantial, but always and constantly stimulating power, which stimulates everything to activity, but never remains in inactivity, then he never again regards the solid form visible to him as an inanimate mass, and the connection of all works of creation becomes clear to him, because all these works of creation are carriers of innumerable entities which strive towards a union within themselves and for this require both a long time as well as an external form....

L'essence de la matière

À l'homme la matière semble sans vie de même que tout ce qui ne cache pas en soi une vie visible. Mais il ne pense pas combien lourd est le séjour dans la matière pour tout le spirituel, combien justement la matière est le lieu où se retrouve tout le spirituel non mûr et quelle importante mission il a été assignée à la matière par l’éternel Créateur. Et ainsi la matière elle-même doit être en quelque sorte la Volonté de Dieu. Par conséquent la Volonté de Dieu devenue forme doit être quelque chose qui doit avoir de la subsistance, elle ne peut pas arbitrairement correspondre à rien, mais elle doit subsister, et donc elle est impérissable, bien qu’en soi périssable. Et tout ce qui est impérissable, doit être esprit, issu de l'Esprit de Dieu. Et ce spirituel de Dieu est enfermé dans une enveloppe visible pour vous les hommes, donc ce qui vous est visible comme matière, est de l’esprit caché, c'est-à-dire enveloppé, dans le but de l'unification du spirituel et donc en constante augmentation. Cette irréfutable explication vous donne l'éclaircissement sur la question posée, si et jusqu'où la matière est sans vie, et cela explique suffisamment l'importance de tout ce qui se manifeste visiblement dans la matière. Tout ce qui existe est esprit de Dieu, mais pour les hommes sur la Terre tout le spirituel reste toujours invisible, mais il doit être rendu reconnaissable à l'œil humain et donc pouvoir être contemplé seulement de l'extérieur. Et donc le concept de « matière » ne peut pas se rendre compréhensible autrement qu’au travers des innombrables entités spirituelles qui prennent demeure dans les enveloppes visibles créées par Dieu pour un but. Et maintenant la tâche de ces entités est de briser l'enveloppe, donc de devenir libre de leur enveloppe, c'est-à-dire de vaincre la matière. Rien n’est sans but dans la Création, et rien de visible ne reste inchangé, même le spirituel change continuellement, mais cela n’est pas visible par l'œil humain, et cela fait arriver l'homme à la supposition (16.08.1939), que la matière ne cache en elle rien d'essentiel, rien de vivant. L'homme dans son bref temps terrestre ne peut pas percevoir le chemin de devenir de la matière, parce que pour cela il faudrait plusieurs fois un temps infiniment le long, avant qu'une vieille forme se dissolve et soit changée dans une nouvelle forme. Et donc tout ce qui a besoin de beaucoup de temps pour changer, semble à l'homme totalement mort, comme sans vie, parce que là où l'homme peut observer une transformation constante, là il admet une certaine vie, et là où il constate une vie, là il reconnaît la Force spirituelle, qui est justement le concept de « vie ». Plus l'homme donne maintenant d’importance à cette pensée en lui, que tout le créé est pour ainsi dire le Souffle de Dieu, et que ce Souffle ne peut jamais et encore jamais être quelque chose de mort, sans vie, mais que c’est une Force qui stimule toujours et continuellement à la Vie, qui stimule tout à l'activité, et ne s'arrête jamais dans l'inactivité, alors il considérera jamais plus la forme solide qu’il voit comme une masse inerte, et le rapport de toutes les Œuvres de Création lui devient clair, parce que toutes celles-ci sont porteuses d'innombrables entités qui en soi aspirent à une unification et pour cela elles ont besoin de beaucoup de temps comme aussi d'une forme extérieure.
