Activity in the afterlife.... ray of light....

This should be especially emphasized to you, that only the soul which consciously turned to the eternal deity in earthly life can enter the spheres of light. For dwelling in the light requires a state which in turn can only be attained with God's help and therefore has to be requested by faith in Him. But a person without faith is also incapable of acquiring strength in order to reach the same state of maturity, because a dark state of the soul makes it impossible to dwell in the light. Such a soul can only stay in an environment which is adapted to its immature state, even though it also suffers unspeakably from the darkness. Through God's grace, through prayer or people's loving remembrance and help from the higher spiritual beings the soul nevertheless comes close to a ray of light at times in order to arouse its will and awaken the desire to enter a more luminous environment. And every ray of light has some cause, and it is always based on spiritual activity of love and therefore has to have a beneficial effect on the souls of darkness. Incorrigible, i.e. completely unwilling souls flee from such a ray, yet the souls which feel their darkness oppressively are infinitely grateful for such attention and make an effort to remain in constant contact with the beings which want to help them although they have not yet regocnized their power. The souls now receive the most varied instructions and are always advised to lend a helping hand wherever a soul is in dire need.... As a result, a kind of community soon arises among them, they all want to serve each other and ease each other's lot, and this endeavour is the beginning of ascent. As soon as a soul has regocnized how unspeakably the souls suffer who have not lived in accordance with God's will on earth, it is also willing to help and eagerly tries to make up for what it has neglected to do for the beings whose fate is likewise self-inflicted darkness. Yet the struggle is unspeakably difficult where no prayer on earth can bring relief. They are now so painfully deprived of the works of love they neglected on earth, and therefore you humans are repeatedly admonished: Help them through your prayer in their struggle for light.... give them strength to strive for light through your love and turn your compassion towards them so that a ray of light may shine for them too and show them the way upwards.

Tätigkeit im Jenseits.... Lichtstrahl....

Dies sei euch besonders ans Herz gelegt, daß in lichte Sphären nur eingehen kann die Seele, die sich bewußt im Erdenleben der ewigen Gottheit zuwandte. Denn es erfordert ein Verweilen im Licht einen Zustand, der wiederum nur zu erreichen ist mit Hilfe Gottes und sonach im Glauben an Ihn erbeten werden muß. Es ist aber ein Mensch ohne Glauben auch nicht fähig, sich Kraft anzueignen, um also den gleichen Reifezustand zu erreichen, denn ein finsterer Zustand der Seele macht ein Verweilen im Licht unmöglich. Es kann eine solche Seele nur in der Umgebung sich aufhalten, die ihrem unreifen Zustand angepaßt ist, wenngleich sie auch unsagbar unter der Finsternis leidet. Durch die Gnade Gottes, durch Gebet oder liebevolles Gedenken der Menschen und Hilfe der höheren Geistwesen kommt die Seele doch zuzeiten in die Nähe eines Lichtstrahles, um ihren Willen zu erregen und das Verlangen zu erwecken, in lichtvollere Umgebung zu kommen. Und ein jeder Lichtstrahl hat irgendwelche Ursache, und (es = d. Hg.) liegt ihm immer geistiges Liebeswirken zugrunde, muß sich also folglich wohltätig auswirken auf die Seelen der Finsternis. Unverbesserliche, d.h. völlig unwillige Seelen entfliehen einem solchen Strahl, doch die Seelen, die ihre Dunkelheit drückend empfinden, sind unendlich dankbar für eine solche Zuwendung und bemühen sich, in ständiger Verbindung zu bleiben mit den Wesen, die ihnen helfen wollen, obwohl sie deren Macht noch nicht erkannt haben. Die mannigfachsten Belehrungen gehen den Seelen nun zu, und immer werden sie hingewiesen, überall hilfreich Hand anzulegen, wo eine Seele in arger Not ist.... Dadurch ersteht dann bald unter ihnen eine Art Gemeinschaft, alle wollen einander dienen und sich gegenseitig das Los erleichtern, und dieses Streben ist der Beginn zum Aufstieg. Sobald erst eine Seele erkannt hat, wie unsäglich die Seelen leiden, die nicht dem Willen Gottes gemäß gelebt haben auf Erden, ist sie auch zur Hilfe bereit und versucht eifrig das Versäumte nachzuholen an den Wesen, deren Los gleichfalls selbstverschuldete Finsternis ist. Doch es ist das Ringen unsagbar schwer, wo kein Gebet auf Erden Erleichterung schafft. Was sie auf Erden versäumt an Liebeswerken, entbehren sie nun so schmerzlich, und darum geht euch Menschen immer wieder die Mahnung zu: Helft ihnen durch euer Gebet in dem Ringen um Licht.... gebt ihnen durch eure Liebe Kraft zum Streben nach Licht, und wendet ihnen euer Mitleid zu, auf daß auch ihnen ein Lichtstrahl leuchte und ihnen den Weg weise nach oben.
