Inventions.... forces of nature.... faith....

In the age of modern technology, the forces of nature will make a particularly noticeable appearance, as the aim is to prove to people that all earthly ability and knowledge is of no use if the will of God is not respected. The more a person is convinced of himself and his abilities, the more likely he is to deny divine power and his own dependence on it. And the more necessary it is then that the divine power expresses itself. The human being's development necessitates all kinds of facilities to which the divine creator gives His blessing if they arise for the benefit and piety of all humanity.... And all spirit, which is expressed in technical inventions, seeks to have a favourable effect on humanity in order to facilitate its striving for the heights, and thus to a certain extent places itself at the service of humanity. However, it is unexplored forces that provide support where man becomes arrogant. And it is precisely these forces that assert themselves in unforeseen natural disasters.... no matter what kind. Wherever man believes that he has found infallible proof that he can utilize some natural force and banish it by his own efforts, an unjustified natural force comes into play and renders previous experience invalid. Man is given the ability by God to utilize the power from God, but always in the same proportion as he relates himself to God. And that person who recognizes God Himself in all natural power will be able to show undreamt-of success.... who, as it were, tackles all work with God that is for the good of humanity and extends to inventions of all kinds. His research and attempts will be crowned with success, and the divine power will, as it were, overflow into such inventions, while the person who believes to draw from himself and is aware of his extraordinary power (will certainly also request the power from God and will not withhold it from him, but he) will to a certain extent take possession of it unlawfully because he presumes to exclude divinity and thus does not subordinate himself to the divine will.... A counter-current will soon make itself felt there. Obstacles upon obstacles will stand in the way of the person working without divine assistance and he will not be able to master them as he relies on himself and does not ask for help.... And these obstacles will again be due to forces of nature, because everything that acts contrary to divine order will, as it were, also have to bear the consequences of this. And thus, despite overcoming many technical difficulties, the human being will always be backward as long as he does not see in the reign of the natural elements proof that all forces in nature are subject to a lord and creator and that his endeavours will therefore only be successful when he himself likewise fits into the divine order and he is only willing to carry out what corresponds to God's will....

Invenzioni – Le forze della natura – La fede

Nell’era della moderna tecnica le potenze della natura si manifesteranno particolarmente forti, dato che si tratta di fornire agli uomini la dimostrazione che tutto il loro sapere e potere terreno non servono a nulla, quando non viene badata alla Volontà di Dio. Più l’uomo è convinto di sé e del suo potere, prima rinnega la Forza divina e la sua dipendenza dalla stessa. E per questo è ancora più necessario che si manifesti la Forza divina. Il cammino del divenire dell’uomo necessità di molte istituzioni, per le quali il divino Creatore dà la Sua Benedizione, se sorgono per l’utilità ed il bene dell’intera umanità. Ed ogni spirito che si manifesta nelle invenzioni tecniche cerca di agire favorevolmente sull’umanità, per facilitarle il tendere verso l’Alto, e si mette quindi in certo qual modo nel servizio dell’umanità. Ma sono delle Forze inesplorate che impongono un arresto dove l’uomo diventa arrogante. Ed appunto queste Forze si fanno valere in catastrofi della natura che irrompono in modo imprevisto, non importa di quale genere. Ovunque l’uomo crede di aver trovato indubbiamente delle dimostrazionidi rendersi utile qualche forza della natura e di poterla legare, e questo con la propria forza, si aggiunge una incalcolata forza della natura e rende caduca l’esperienza avuta finora. All’uomo è stata data da Dio la facoltà di rendersi utile la Forza da Dio, ma sempre nello stesso rapporto, come lui stesso si pone verso Lui. E potrà mostrare insospettati successi colui, che in ogni forza della natura riconosce Dio Stesso, che affronta per così dire ogni lavoro con Dio che serve al bene dell’umanità e si estende su invenzioni di ogni genere. La sua ricerca ed esperimenti saranno coronati da successi, e la Forza divina fluirà per così dire in tali invenzioni, mentre l’uomo che crede di attingere la Forza da sé stesso e si rende conto di questa straordinaria Forza, ma in una certa misura ne prende possesso illegittimamente, perché si arroga di escludere la Divinità, non si sottomette quindi alla Volontà divina. Là presto si farà notare una corrente contraria. A colui che lavora senza l’Assistenza divina si metteranno sulla via ostacoli su ostacoli e non potrà dominarli, dato che confida in sé stesso e non chiede nessun aiuto. E questi ostacoli saranno nuovamente da ricondurre a potenze della natura, perché tutto ciò che agisce contro l’Ordine divino, dovrà anche portare le sue conseguenze. E così malgrado il superamento di molteplici difficoltà tecniche l’uomo arretra, finché non vede nell’agire degli elementi della natura una dimostrazione di ciò che tutte le forze nella natura sono sottomesse al Signore e Creatore e che con ciò la sua fatica sarà di successo soltanto, quando lui stesso si inserisce nell’Ordine divino ed è volenteroso di eseguire solamente ciò che corrisponde alla Volontà di Dio.
