Inventions.... forces of nature.... faith....

In the age of modern technology, the forces of nature will make a particularly noticeable appearance, as the aim is to prove to people that all earthly ability and knowledge is of no use if the will of God is not respected. The more a person is convinced of himself and his abilities, the more likely he is to deny divine power and his own dependence on it. And the more necessary it is then that the divine power expresses itself. The human being's development necessitates all kinds of facilities to which the divine creator gives His blessing if they arise for the benefit and piety of all humanity.... And all spirit, which is expressed in technical inventions, seeks to have a favourable effect on humanity in order to facilitate its striving for the heights, and thus to a certain extent places itself at the service of humanity. However, it is unexplored forces that provide support where man becomes arrogant. And it is precisely these forces that assert themselves in unforeseen natural disasters.... no matter what kind. Wherever man believes that he has found infallible proof that he can utilize some natural force and banish it by his own efforts, an unjustified natural force comes into play and renders previous experience invalid. Man is given the ability by God to utilize the power from God, but always in the same proportion as he relates himself to God. And that person who recognizes God Himself in all natural power will be able to show undreamt-of success.... who, as it were, tackles all work with God that is for the good of humanity and extends to inventions of all kinds. His research and attempts will be crowned with success, and the divine power will, as it were, overflow into such inventions, while the person who believes to draw from himself and is aware of his extraordinary power (will certainly also request the power from God and will not withhold it from him, but he) will to a certain extent take possession of it unlawfully because he presumes to exclude divinity and thus does not subordinate himself to the divine will.... A counter-current will soon make itself felt there. Obstacles upon obstacles will stand in the way of the person working without divine assistance and he will not be able to master them as he relies on himself and does not ask for help.... And these obstacles will again be due to forces of nature, because everything that acts contrary to divine order will, as it were, also have to bear the consequences of this. And thus, despite overcoming many technical difficulties, the human being will always be backward as long as he does not see in the reign of the natural elements proof that all forces in nature are subject to a lord and creator and that his endeavours will therefore only be successful when he himself likewise fits into the divine order and he is only willing to carry out what corresponds to God's will....

Inventions – les forces de la nature – la foi

Dans cette période de grande technicité moderne les phénomènes naturels se manifesteront particulièrement fortement, vu qu’il s’agit de fournir aux hommes la preuve que tout leur savoir et pouvoir terrestre ne servent à rien, lorsqu’ils ne s’occupent pas de la Volonté de Dieu. Plus l'homme est convaincu de lui-même et de son pouvoir, plus il nie la Force divine et sa dépendance par rapport à celle-ci. C’est pour cela qu’il est encore plus nécessaire que se manifeste la Force divine. Le chemin du développement de l'homme passe par de nombreuses inventions, pour lesquelles le divin Créateur donne Sa Bénédiction, si elles sont faites pour l'utilité et le bien de toute l’humanité. Et chaque esprit qui se manifeste dans les inventions techniques cherche à agir favorablement sur l'humanité, pour faciliter les tendances vers le Haut, et il se met donc d’une certaine manière au service de l'humanité. Mais il y a des Forces inexplorées qui imposent un arrêt lorsque l'homme devient arrogant. Et ces Forces se dévoilent sous la forme de catastrophes naturelles qui agissent de manière imprévue sous n'importe quelle forme. Partout où l'homme croit avoir trouvé indubitablement comment se rendre utile certaines forces de la nature et pouvoir les dompter, et cela avec sa propre force, il vient s'ajouter une force de la nature inattendue qui rend caduque l'expérience acquise jusqu'à présent. À l'homme il a été donné par Dieu la faculté de se rendre utile la Force de Dieu, mais toujours dans le même rapport où lui-même se place envers Lui. Ainsi celui qui reconnaît Dieu Lui-même dans chaque force de la nature, qui accomplit pour ainsi dire chaque travail avec Dieu pour le bien de l'humanité et s'applique à des inventions de toutes sortes pourra arriver à des succès insoupçonnés. Sa recherche et ses expériences seront couronnées de succès, et la Force divine coulera pour ainsi dire dans de telles inventions, tandis que l'homme qui croit puiser la Force en lui-même tout en se rendant compte de cette Force extraordinaire, en prend d’une certaine façon possession illégitimement, parce qu'il arroge le droit d'exclure la Divinité, il ne se soumet donc pas à la Volonté divine. Là apparaîtra bientôt un courant contraire. Ceux qui travaillent sans l'Assistance divine se créeront obstacles sur obstacles et ils ne pourront pas les dominer, vu qu’ils se fient seulement à eux-mêmes et ne demandent aucune aide. Et ces obstacles seront de nouveau dus à des phénomènes naturels, parce que tout ce qui agit contre l'Ordre divin devra en porter les conséquences. Et ainsi malgré le franchissement de multiples difficultés techniques l'homme reculera tant qu’il ne verra pas dans l’action des éléments de la nature la preuve que toutes les forces de la nature sont soumises au Seigneur et Créateur et qu'avec cela sa fatigue sera récompensée seulement lorsque lui-même s'insère dans l'Ordre divin et exécute avec bonne volonté seulement ce qui correspond à la Volonté de Dieu.
