The soul chooses its own whereabouts....

The soul has chosen its stay in the flesh for itself and therefore the objection that the human being is forced to be what he is on earth is unfounded. The being has even received an exact description of earth life beforehand, the path on earth has been presented to it, likewise also the degree of maturity which can be reached in this very life, and the being has therefore put on the body of flesh in fullest agreement and has consciously become that to which it has previously given its consent. If the earthly life does not bring him maturity through his own fault, then this is merely due to the will or rather unwillingness of the human being who does not utilize life on earth in the way it can be utilized. Anyone who neglects to be lovingly active on earth has lived his life in vain, and this activity in love is precisely what is needed to reach the state of perfection. And if the soul considers that the embodiment as a human being imposes all kinds of fetters on it, if it considers that opportunities are offered everywhere to loosen these fetters and to be able to reach a truly high degree of maturity in a short time, then the realization of the missed life is so unspeakably bitter for it that remorse for the missed opportunity means true hell for it.... And all spiritual strength cannot succeed in sparing the soul this state of remorse, and therefore it will still powerfully influence the soul during its earthly existence.... and tries to influence a misguided being spiritually as well as physically and to awaken the soul's sense of responsibility so that it will recognize its task on earth and pay more attention to its work of liberation. Once the human being has imagined that only his will liberates him from his fetters, but that otherwise the wrong will also endangers the soul's later life, then he no longer lives thoughtlessly into the day but seeks to gain spiritual advantages for himself, and at the same time he uses all opportunities to practice love for his neighbour, for the soul senses its real task precisely in this, moreover it also likes to dwell in the spheres where it does not feel the pressure of the body. It has certainly taken life upon itself with the intention to use it in order to reach perfection, but the wrong thinking in earthly life mostly comes from the fact that the soul does not reach this state quickly enough and therefore holds itself harmless on earth, i.e. it regards the illusory goods as the right good and misjudges the true purpose on earth, but then seeks the supposed guilt in an earthly life which is extraordinarily burdensome for it, while it creates this burdensome state for itself. A right life on earth that is pleasing to God in active neighbourly love will allow the human being to rise above himself in such a way that he will no longer be aware of the seemingly miserable circumstances and thus the self-chosen life in the flesh will bring him the fullest redemption....

A alma escolhe a sua própria estadia....

A alma descreveu a sua permanência na carne para si mesma e por isso a objeção é infundada de que o ser humano é forçado a ser o que é na Terra. O ser até recebeu de antemão uma descrição exata da vida terrena, foi-lhe apresentado o caminho na Terra, assim como também o grau de maturidade que pode ser alcançado nesta mesma vida e, portanto, o ser se colocou no corpo de carne em pleno acordo e se tornou conscientemente naquilo a que anteriormente havia dado o seu consentimento. Se a mudança terrena não lhe traz maturidade por culpa própria, então isso só pode ser atribuído à vontade do ser humano, ou melhor, à sua falta de vontade, que não usa a vida na Terra da maneira como ela pode ser usada. Quem se descuida de ser amorosamente ativo na Terra viveu sua vida em vão, e essa atividade de amor é precisamente a coisa mais necessária para alcançar o estado de perfeição. E se a alma considera que a sua encarnação como ser humano lhe impõe todo o tipo de restrições, se considera que são oferecidas oportunidades em todo o lado para afrouxar essas restrições e poder alcançar um grau de maturidade verdadeiramente elevado num curto espaço de tempo, então o reconhecimento da vida falhada é tão indizivelmente amargo para ela que o remorso pela oportunidade perdida significa um verdadeiro inferno para ela.... E toda a força espiritual não consegue poupar a alma deste estado de remorso e, por isso, ainda afeta fortemente a alma durante a sua existência terrena e tenta influenciar um ser mal orientado tanto espiritual como fisicamente e despertar o sentido de responsabilidade da alma, para que ela reconheça a sua tarefa na Terra e preste mais atenção ao seu trabalho de libertação. Uma vez que o ser humano tenha imaginado que só a sua vontade o liberta dos seus grilhões, mas que de outra forma a vida posterior da alma também estará em perigo pela vontade errada, então ele não mais viverá sem pensar, mas procurará obter vantagens espirituais para si mesmo, e ao mesmo tempo fará uso de todas as oportunidades para praticar o amor para com o próximo, pois é justamente aí que a alma sente a sua verdadeira tarefa, além disso, também gosta de morar nas esferas onde não sente a pressão do corpo. Com certeza, ela tomou sobre si a vida com a intenção de usá-la para alcançar a perfeição, mas o pensamento errado na vida terrena geralmente vem do fato de que a alma não chega a essa situação suficientemente rápido e por isso se mantém inofensiva na Terra, ou seja, considera os bens falsos como o bem certo e não reconhece o seu verdadeiro propósito na Terra, mas então procura a suposta culpa numa vida terrena extraordinariamente pesada, enquanto cria essa situação pesada para si mesma. Uma vida justa e agradável a Deus na Terra, em amor de vizinhança ativa, deixará o ser humano crescer de tal forma para além de si mesmo que ele não terá mais consciência das circunstâncias aparentemente deploráveis e, assim, a vida que se escolheu a si mesmo na carne lhe trará a mais plena redenção....
