The soul chooses its own whereabouts....

The soul has chosen its stay in the flesh for itself and therefore the objection that the human being is forced to be what he is on earth is unfounded. The being has even received an exact description of earth life beforehand, the path on earth has been presented to it, likewise also the degree of maturity which can be reached in this very life, and the being has therefore put on the body of flesh in fullest agreement and has consciously become that to which it has previously given its consent. If the earthly life does not bring him maturity through his own fault, then this is merely due to the will or rather unwillingness of the human being who does not utilize life on earth in the way it can be utilized. Anyone who neglects to be lovingly active on earth has lived his life in vain, and this activity in love is precisely what is needed to reach the state of perfection. And if the soul considers that the embodiment as a human being imposes all kinds of fetters on it, if it considers that opportunities are offered everywhere to loosen these fetters and to be able to reach a truly high degree of maturity in a short time, then the realization of the missed life is so unspeakably bitter for it that remorse for the missed opportunity means true hell for it.... And all spiritual strength cannot succeed in sparing the soul this state of remorse, and therefore it will still powerfully influence the soul during its earthly existence.... and tries to influence a misguided being spiritually as well as physically and to awaken the soul's sense of responsibility so that it will recognize its task on earth and pay more attention to its work of liberation. Once the human being has imagined that only his will liberates him from his fetters, but that otherwise the wrong will also endangers the soul's later life, then he no longer lives thoughtlessly into the day but seeks to gain spiritual advantages for himself, and at the same time he uses all opportunities to practice love for his neighbour, for the soul senses its real task precisely in this, moreover it also likes to dwell in the spheres where it does not feel the pressure of the body. It has certainly taken life upon itself with the intention to use it in order to reach perfection, but the wrong thinking in earthly life mostly comes from the fact that the soul does not reach this state quickly enough and therefore holds itself harmless on earth, i.e. it regards the illusory goods as the right good and misjudges the true purpose on earth, but then seeks the supposed guilt in an earthly life which is extraordinarily burdensome for it, while it creates this burdensome state for itself. A right life on earth that is pleasing to God in active neighbourly love will allow the human being to rise above himself in such a way that he will no longer be aware of the seemingly miserable circumstances and thus the self-chosen life in the flesh will bring him the fullest redemption....

El alma elige su propia estancia....

El alma ha elegido por sí misma su morada en la carne, y por lo tanto es infundida la objeción de que el ser humano está obligado a ser lo que es en la tierra. Incluso que el ser ha recibido de antemano una representación precisa de la vida terrenal, se le ha presentado el camino en la tierra, así como el grado de madurez que se puede alcanzar en esta misma vida, y por lo tanto, el ser se ha puesto el cuerpo de carne y se ha convertido con pleno consentimiento de lo que previamente consintió. Si ahora en el andar sobre la tierra no consigue la madurez por su propia culpa, entonces esto se debe solamente a la voluntad o más bien a la falta de voluntad de la persona que no aprovecha la vida en la tierra en la forma en que puede ser usada.

Cualquiera que no sea activo en el amor en la tierra ha vivido su vida en vano y esta actividad en el amor es lo más necesario para alcanzar el estado de perfección. Y cuando el alma considera que su encarnación como humano le trae consigo grilletes de todo tipo, cuando considera que por todas partes se le ofrecen oportunidades para librarse de estos grilletes y alcanzar un nivel de madurez verdaderamente alto en muy poco tiempo, entonces el reconocimiento de la vida fallada es tan indeciblemente amarga para ella, que el arrepentimiento por la oportunidad perdida significa un verdadero infierno para ella....

Y toda fuerza espiritual no puede lograr salvar al alma de este estado de remordimiento, y es por eso que aún afecta poderosamente al alma durante su existencia terrenal.... y busca influir espiritual y físicamente en un ser descarriado y despertar el sentido de responsabilidad del alma para que reconozca su tarea en la tierra y preste más atención a su obra de liberación. Una vez que el ser humano haya imaginado que sólo su voluntad lo libera de sus grilletes, pero que también de otro modo la voluntad equivocada pone en peligro la vida posterior del alma, para que ya no viva irreflexivamente en el día, sino que busque obtener ventajas espirituales, y al mismo tiempo aprovecha todas las oportunidades para practicar el amor al prójimo, porque el alma siente su verdadera tarea precisamente en eso, y además le gusta también permanecer es esferas en las que no siente la presión del cuerpo.

Ciertamente ha tomado la vida sobre sí misma con la intención de usarla para lograr la perfección, pero el pensamiento erróneo en la vida terrenal proviene principalmente del hecho de que el alma no alcanza este estado lo suficiente rápido y por lo tanto se mantiene terrenalmente inofensiva, es decir, ve los bienes aparentes como bienes reales y juzga mal el verdadero destino en la tierra, pero luego busca la supuesta culpa en una vida terrenal extremadamente gravosa para ello, mientras crea este estado gravoso sí mismo. Una vida recta en la tierra, que agrada a Dios, en el amor activo al prójimo, permitirá al ser humano superarse a sí mismo hasta tal punto que ya no será consciente de las circunstancias aparentemente difíciles y, por tanto, la vida en la carne elegida por sí mismo le traerá la más plena redención....
