Different living conditions no obstacle to the development of the soul....

People's ways of life are so diverse and yet can lead to the same result, and thus it is erroneous to assume that the soul's life can only develop in certain circumstances, whereas it must remain completely uninfluenced where the human being's situation in life is less beneficial to the soul. This view is extremely erroneous, after all, all people must have the same opportunity to reach the state of perfection, and the eternal deity can never want to favour or degrade a being, for this would never be compatible with divine love and justice. People's living conditions may seem to be favourable or unfavourable, and this gives rise to wrong conclusions, but the individual person's lot is always assigned to him in such a way that it can contribute to his higher development to the highest degree, if only he makes extensive use of it himself, and this alone is decisive. The human being is certainly often forced by extraordinary circumstances to move in a certain direction of thought, i.e. he will have to solve tasks in the worldly sphere which fill him mentally, so that he will occupy himself little or not at all with spiritual problems, yet no human being on earth is exclusively only earthly active.... There is still time for one to deal with oneself and give heed to spiritual questions, if only the will is there. And the job, the situation in life, time or place of his earthly existence is never in any way a hinderance to shaping his inner life according to divine will.... The human being's will is always the sole factor to be taken into account.... The will overcomes all external circumstances that threaten to hinder the soul's life. And again, it is the desire for the world which can be considered the greatest obstacle to the soul's higher development.... And this desire can be nourished in seemingly good as well as in bad life situations, but it can also be fought. All resistances exist in order to be overcome, and it is therefore irrelevant whether the human being has to fight a hard battle in life due to poor circumstances and in return has fewer worldly temptations or whether he has to fight out even harder battle against the world in a life of well-being.... the inner life is always and in every situation completely separate from the life of the body. Thoughts are conveyed to the human being in so many ways by the spiritual beings who look after him that it is only a matter of grasping and utilizing them. And this is never dependent on the human being's situation in life and his destiny.... because according to the wise plan of the creator, this is assigned to every human being in such a way that it guarantees the highest possible perfection and thus earthly life need only be used correctly, i.e. according to divine will, in order to lead to complete success. Thus the objection that a profession or fate makes it easier to find the way to realization is totally wrong.... Only the will alone is decisive that the human being pays attention to his inner life and is therefore active of his own accord for the salvation of his soul....

Differenti condizioni di vita non sono un ostacolo per lo sviluppo dell’anima

Le vie di vita degli uomini sono così diverse e possono comunque condurre allo stesso risultato, e così è errato supporre che la vita dell’anima si possa sviluppare solo in determinate condizioni, mentre rimanga totalmente ininfluenzata dove la situazione di vita dell’uomo è meno adeguata all’anima. Quest’opinione è oltremodo errata, dato che gli uomini devono avere la stessa possibilità di raggiungere lo stato di perfezione, e dall’eterna Divinità non potrà mai e poi mai essere voluto un favoreggiamento o un rimandare di un essere, perché questo non sarebbe mai conciliabile con l’Amore e la Giustizia divini. Le condizioni di vita degli uomini sono apparentemente bensì favorevoli o sfavorevoli, e questo dà motivo per false conclusioni, ma la sorte del singolo uomo gli è sempre assegnata in modo come possa contribuire allo sviluppo verso l’Alto nella massima misura, se viene utilizzata soltanto abbondantemente da lui stesso. E soltanto questo è determinante. Attraverso straordinarie condizioni l’uomo è bensì sovente costretto a muoversi in una determinata direzione di pensieri, cioè nel campo mondano avrà da risolvere dei compiti che lo colmano mentalmente, in modo che si occupa poco o per nulla con problemi spirituali, ma nessun uomo sulla Terra è occupato esclusivamente soltanto in modo terreno. Ad ognuno rimane sempre ancora il tempo di occuparsi di sé stesso e dare attenzione a questioni spirituali, se ne ha presente soltanto la volontà. Ed è nemmeno mai la professione, la situazione di vita, il tempo o il luogo della sua esistenza terrena in qualche modo d’ostacolo di formare la sua vita interiore secondo la Volontà divina. L’unico fattore è sempre e sempre di nuovo la volontà dell’uomo della quale è da tener conto. La volontà supera tutte le situazioni esteriori della vita, che minacciano di diventare d’impedimento per la vita dell’anima. Ed è nuovamente il desiderio per il mondo che può valere come il più grande ostacolo per lo sviluppo verso l’Alto dell’anima. E questo desiderio può essere combattuto sia in condizioni di vita apparentemente buone o anche cattive. Tutte le avversità esistono per essere appunto superate, e perciò è indifferente se l’uomo abbia da sostenere una dura lotta della vita attraverso condizioni scarse e perciò con meno tentazioni mondane, oppure se deve combattere nel ben vivere la lotta perciò più difficile contro il mondo, la vita interiore è sempre ed in ogni situazione di vita totalmente separata dalla vita del corpo. All’uomo i pensieri vengono trasmessi in modo così diverso dagli esseri spirituali fedeli che lo assistono, affinché dipenda solo all’afferrare e valutare gli stessi. E questo non dipende mai dalla situazione di vita dell’uomo e dal destino a lui assegnato, perché questo è assegnato ad ogni uomo secondo il saggio Piano del Creatore, che garantisce il perfezionamento il più alto possibile, cioè che dev’essere utilizzato secondo la Volontà divina, per condurre al successo. Quindi è totalmente caduca l’obiezione che una professione oppure un destino possa far trovare più facilmente la via alla conoscenza, che l’uomo dia più considerazione alla sua vita interiore e quindi sia attivo per propria spinta per la salvezza della sua anima.
