Weakness of the spirit.... reduction of the ability to receive....

The spirit's state of weakness has to be overcome, for there is too great a task to be accomplished to allow for the unwillingness. And only serious will is ever needed to remedy such a state of unwillingness, for the human being should joyfully receive.... but that spirit wich is weak cannot joyfully accept what it is commanded. It has such an impact on the teaching spirits when the earthly child does not pay full attention to the teachings, they cannot easily make themselves felt and cannot transfer the strength if the recipient is not receptive. Therefore it would also not be possible to convey deeply spiritual good to you if the spirit is weak and cannot follow attentively. The more willingly the earthly child devotes itself to this work the easier it will find it to receive, and even if apparent advantages could motivate the human being to interrupt the connection from the beyond to earth for a short time, this would nevertheless be a gross neglect of the divine commandment or rather of God's announced will, for this determined you to receive the word and you were completely free to accept this office or not. But your unique promise must also be maintained and may not be arbitrarily withdrawn or invalidated, for those who teach you eagerly await the moment every day when you turn your thoughts upwards and prepare to receive it. And therefore it is so unspeakably blessed if you can establish the connection with the lord quite often during the day, if the state of alienation is never again the reason for neglecting the reception, for only an earthly child which is willing to receive and joyfully awaits is completely able to bring such a work to completion, for the truth should be desired with a hungry heart in order to be recognized as such and can also be passed on. For God's wisdom is profound and can only be understood when the earthly child is in fullest agreement with its otherworldly teacher. And then such an earthly child will rather forego earthly joys and pleasures than surrender the connection with the world of the beyond and appreciate the great grace of being united with its saviour and redeemer and hearing His call, Who displays His great love....

Schwächezustand des Geistes.... Verminderung der Empfangsfähigkeit....

Des Geistes Schwächezustand muß überwunden werden, denn es gilt eine zu große Aufgabe zu erfüllen, als daß der Unlust Rechnung getragen werden darf. Und es wird immer nur der ernste Wille benötigt, um einen solchen Unlust-Zustand zu beheben, denn freudig soll der Mensch das Wort Gottes empfangen.... jener Geist aber, der schwach ist, kann auch nicht freudig bejahen, was ihm geboten wird. Es hat einen solchen Einfluß auf die lehrenden Geistwesen, wenn das Erdenkind nicht vollwach den Lehren Beachtung schenkt, sie können sich nicht leicht bemerkbar machen und die Kraft nicht überleiten, wenn der Empfangende nicht aufnahmefähig ist. Es wäre daher auch nicht möglich, tief geistiges Gut dir zu übermitteln, wenn der Geist schwach ist und nicht aufmerksam folgen kann. Je williger das Erdenkind sich dieser Arbeit hingibt, desto leichter wird ihm das Aufnehmen fallen, und wenn auch scheinbare Vorteile den Menschen bewegen könnten, die Verbindung vom Jenseits zur Erde auf kurze Zeit zu unterbrechen, liegt doch darin eine grobe Vernachlässigung des göttlichen Gebotes oder vielmehr des durch Gott kundgegebenen Willens, denn dieser bestimmte dich zum Empfangen des Wortes und es lag dir völlig frei, dieses Amt zu übernehmen oder nicht. Deine einmalige Zusage aber muß auch aufrechterhalten bleiben und darf nicht beliebig zurückgezogen resp. ungültig gemacht werden, denn die dich belehren, erwarten täglich sehnlich den Augenblick, wo du deine Gedanken nach oben wendest und zum Empfang dich vorbereitest. Und es ist daher so unsagbar segensreich, wenn du die Verbindung zum Herrn recht oft des Tages herstellen kannst, wenn niemals mehr der Zustand der Entfremdung Anlaß ist, daß die Aufnahme vernachlässigt wird, denn nur ein empfangswilliges und freudig erwartendes Erdenkind ist restlos imstande, ein solches Werk zur Vollendung zu bringen, denn es soll die Wahrheit mit hungrigem Herzen begehrt werden, um erkannt zu werden als solche und auch weitergegeben werden kann. Denn Gottes Weisheit ist tief und nur dann zu begreifen, wenn das Erdenkind im vollsten Einverständnis steht mit seinem jenseitigen Lehrmeister. Und dann wird ein solches Erdenkind eher auf irdische Freuden und Genüsse verzichten, als die Verbindung mit der jenseitigen Welt hinzugeben und die große Gnade schätzen, verbunden zu sein mit seinem Heiland und Erlöser und Dessen Ruf zu vernehmen, der da erzeiget Seine große Liebe....
