Freedom of belief.... natural explanation.... joyful labour of the soul.... reject....

If your prayer is to remain unconstrained, unite yourself in spirit with your heavenly father and let the thoughts come to you, then every mechanical exercise will fall away and you will pray to God in your heart. The lord hears everything, every thought and every longing for Him, and words are therefore not necessary.... On the other hand, all truly good thinking and willing will be blessed.

This connection with the world beyond is the only way through which the lord can make Himself known in such a way that people retain their freedom of faith. An obvious proclamation from above would put them into a state in which they would be forced into a faith even against their will.... And such a directed faith, an acceptance of the doctrine of God through certain coercion, is without success for the soul. This is why God's messages must be conveyed to people in such a way that they are not forced to believe in any way.... The lord certainly has many means to make Himself heard, but as long as the human being has a purely natural explanation for it at the same time, he is completely free to decide to regard something as an act of nature or as God's openly expressed will and then to take a stand on the eternal deity. It is extremely difficult to restore faith to people who have dropped it after a brief examination and wrong judgement, and it takes unspeakable patience and perseverance to steer them again and again towards an area to which they are more hostile, and therefore it always remains a tremendous task to teach such apostate people the profound knowledge of God's love. On the one hand, extremely strong evidence is required, and on the other hand, this evidence must still be within the realms of possibility, because otherwise there could no longer be any talk of faith but the person would have to accept what is obviously presented to him....

The soul has a wide field of work.... without rest it must be active as it has to utilize earthly life appropriately.... With profound faith and clear realization it has to use all its strength to reach its goal. Yet if it loses time by neglecting its work on earth for lack of realization, it will have to struggle increasingly harder the later it has found it.... It will have too little time for its actual activity and only an extremely strong will will succeed in making up for what it has neglected and working on itself with increased vigour. So now the lord wants to come to the aid of those and give them hints, so that they easily accept faith and through this acquire means of help.... (interruption)

But again there are so many dangers which threaten such a soul if it unwillingly approaches the work which is only meant for its advancement. For it remains in a constant battle with evil forces as long as it does not strive joyfully upwards.... Only when the strong urge to always do only that which is pleasing to God can be felt in the heart will the influences of the evil powers become weaker and finally no longer be able to bother the earthly child at all, for then this power is broken by the heartfelt desire for light, which can only come from above. If the soul is aware of its weakness in its desire for God and sincerely asks for strength, then it will be carried upwards, as it were, by spiritual power.... A soul that asks will have everything at its disposal that is conducive to progress, and once it has realized its task, it will follow it joyfully and eagerly. However, the stronger desire can also apply to matter, and this is the decline or death of the soul.... and completely useless is the time on earth, where only the body comes to its supposed right, but the soul languishes and languishes. And then no thought will turn to the spiritual, rejection, mockery and contempt towards all spiritual subjects and complete emptiness of heart are the characteristics of such erring souls languishing in the shackles of matter. They do not recognize the lord's great goodness and are too far removed from the father of the space.... And if the divinity also works visibly, they prefer to close their eyes and remain in spiritual darkness.... All will see the signs of heaven, but they will only mean what they are supposed to mean to a few.... warning signals of greatest distress.... Those who heed them are not in danger of being completely engulfed by the devastating torrent of fire that is now to pour over humanity.... (interruption)

La libertà di fede – La spiegazione naturale – Il lavoro gioioso dell’anima – Il rifiuto

La tua preghiera dev’essere libera, non costretta, allora unisciti nello spirito con il tuo Padre celeste, e lascia venire a te i pensieri, allora cadrà ogni esercizio meccanico e pregherai Dio nel cuore. Il Signore sente tutto, ogni pensiero ed ogni nostalgia di Lui, e perciò non servono delle parole. Invece sarà benedetto ogni vero buon pensare e volere. Questo collegamento con il mondo dell’aldilà è l’unica possibilità attraverso il Signore Si può annunciare nel modo, che agli uomini rimanga lasciata la loro libertà di fede. Una Comunicazione evidente dall’Alto li metterebbe in una condizione nella quale verrebbero spinti in una fede anche contro la loro volontà. Ed una fede così giudicata, una accettazione della Dottrina di Dio attraverso una certa costrizione è senza successo per l’anima. Perciò I Mandati da Dio devono essere trasmessi all’uomo in un modo, che non lo costringono in nessun modo a credere. Il Signore ha ben molti mezzi per procurarSi l’ascolto, ma finché l’uomo ne ha contemporaneamente una spiegazione puramente naturale, può decidersi totalmente libero di considerare qualcosa come l’agire della natura oppure come la Volontà di Dio che si manifesta apertamente e di conseguenza prenderne posizione verso l’eterna Divinità. E’ oltremodo difficile far sorgere di nuovo la fede per quegli uomini, che l’hanno lasciata cadere dopo un breve esame o falso giudizio, e ci vuole una indicibile pazienza e perseveranza di condurli sempre di nuovo su un campo, al quale stanno di fronte con più animosità e perciò rimane sempre un immenso compito, di insegnare a tali uomini caduti il profondo sapere sull’Amore di Dio. Questo richiede da un lato delle dimostrazioni estremamente forti, e dall’altra queste dimostrazioni devono sempre ancora essere nella cornice del possibile, perché altrimenti non si potrebbe più parlare di fede, ma l’uomo dovrebbe accettare ciò che gli verrebbe chiaramente sottoposto. L’anima ha un vasto campo di lavoro, dev’essere attiva senza sosta, dato che si tratta di utilizzare la vita terrena secondo lo scopo. Nella profonda fede e nella chiara conoscenza deve già impiegare tutta la Forza per raggiungere la sua meta. Ma se perde tempo, mentre trascura il suo compito sulla Terra per mancanza di conoscenza e la troverà più tardi, dovrà lottare con sempre maggior difficoltà. Per il suo vero compito le rimane troppo poco tempo, e solamente ad una volontà oltremodo forte di recuperare ciò che ha mancato di fare e di lavorare su di sé con maggior Forza. Così il Signore vuole ora venire in Aiuto costoro e dare loro indicazioni, affinché accettino facilmente la fede e tramite questa si conquistino dei mezzi d’Aiuto. (18.09.1938) Ma ci sono nuovamente così tanti pericoli, che minacciano una tale anima, quando intraprende il lavoro con malavoglia, che è rivolto unicamente alla sua promozione. Perché rimane nella costante lotta con poteri maligni finché non aspira gioiosa verso l’Alto. Solo quando è percettibile la forte spinta nel cuore di fare sempre soltanto ciò che compiace a Dio, le influenze dei poteri maligni diventeranno più deboli ed infine non potranno più infastidire il figlio terreno, perché allora questo potere è spezzato attraverso l’intimo desiderio per la Luce, che può venire unicamente dall’Alto. Se ora l’anima nel desiderio per Dio si rende conto della sua debolezza e chiede intimamente la Forza, allora viene per così dire portata in Alto dalla Forza spirituale. Ad un’anima che prega starà a disposizione tutto ciò che le serve per il progresso e se poi ha riconosciuto il suo compito, allora l’esegue gioiosa e con fervore. Ma il desiderio più forte può essere rivolto anche alla materia, e questo è la retrocessione o la morte dell’anima, ed il tempo terreno è totalmente inutile, dove soltanto il corpo ottiene il suo presunto diritto, ma l’anima langue e soffre. Allora nessun pensiero si rivolge allo spirituale, il rifiuto, la derisione ed il disprezzo verso tutti i temi spirituali ed un totale vuoto del cuore sono i segnali per tali anime erranti, che languono nelle catene della materia. Non riconoscono la grande Benignità del Signore e stanno troppo lontane dal Padre del Cosmo. Ed anche se la Divinità opera con evidenza, chiudono piuttosto i loro occhi e continuano a rimanere nell’oscurità spirituale. Tutti contempleranno i segni del Cielo, ma solo per pochi significheranno qualcosa che devono essere: dei Segnali d’Avvertimento dalla miseria più grande. Chi vi bada, non è in pericolo di venir totalmente inghiottito dal fiume devastante del fuoco, che si deve ora riversare sull’umanità.
