Warning against arrogance and conceit....

Be careful of everything that can arouse the pride-devil in you. The demons persecute all those to whom the commandment of charity gives cause for activity in love.... they always try to counteract there by slightly trying to disfigure the motive.... that man in his action deviates from the actual task of helping, which is to be regarded as the principle for charity. A small part of self-conceit has the danger that from such an action is no longer pleasing to God, but that the influence of evil forces is visibly felt.... Wherever self-conceit is only a driving force in the least degree, the good work has little or no value. Therefore beware of pride above all, lest you suffer harm to your soul....

Advertencia con la arrogancia y el engreimiento....

Cuidado con todo lo que puede despertar al diablo de la arrogancia que hay en vosotros. Los demonios persiguen a todos aquellos a quienes el mandamiento del amor al prójimo les da motivos para actuar en el amor.... siempre intentan contrarrestar donde pueden desfigurar fácilmente el motivo.... siempre tratan de estropear el motivo.... que el ser humano se desvía en sus acciones de la tarea real de ayudar, que debe considerarse como un principio de caridad. Una pequeña parte del engreimiento conlleva el peligro de que, como resultado de esto, una acción ya no agrade a Dios, sino que la influencia de los poderes malignos se puede notar visiblemente.... Dondequiera que el engreimiento es la fuerza impulsora en el más mínimo grado, la buena obra tiene poco o solo muy poco valor. Por tanto, guardaos de toda soberbia, para que no sufras daño en tu alma....
