Forgiveness of sins.... I.

Take stock of yourselves and recognise your sins.... And if you transgressed, appeal to the Lord for forgiveness and His grace.... only that is pleasing before God. But if you believe that incessant prayers will reach God, which do not arise from deep within the heart.... if you believe that the Lord only forgives those who deem themselves to be closer to the Lord in their life due to privilege.... who have devised a scheme by which all sins will systematically be absolved within a specific time.... the Lord will teach you otherwise.... Through the Saviour's divine love you acquired the right to be able to release yourselves from your sins if you recognise them in your heart of hearts.... genuinely regret them and at the same time implore the Lord and Saviour for His divine mercy to release you from these sins.... and then firmly decide to avoid these sins for love of the divine Saviour. Everything a person recognises to be wrong must also be abhorred by him in his heart, and this, in turn, will result in his intention to avoid sinning again. If he confides, like a child, his serious intention to his Father that he will never want to sadden Him by committing such wrong again....if his abhorrence gives rise to profound remorse and the intention to improve himself.... then the Lord will lovingly draw the remorseful sinner to His heart and forgive his sins. However, customs and traditions have been established in the world by which a person can quite automatically be absolved from his sins.... And thereby an even greater evil and sacrilege on the human race has been promoted. For the absolution of sins became a truly faith-destroying bad habit because it occurred in such a way, that the sincerity of heart was indeed mentioned as being essential... but that the least of the sinners made an effort to enter into complete contact with the Lord.... that all formal conditions were in fact observed but that the actual act of the remission of sin left people under the impression of having complied with their duty.... even though the person's heart had not yet fulfilled the conditions needed for the forgiveness of sin through the Lord. And thereby a misguided teaching became increasingly more prevalent which, in its basic principle and intention, is indeed good and noble but merely gets people into the habit of performing a dutiful action whose profound depth is not understood seriously enough and yet is so infinitely essential for humanity's salvation of soul.... 죄에 대한 용서...

내면으로 들어가 너희의 죄를 깨달으라. 너희가 잘못했다면 주님께 용서와 그의 은혜를 구하라. 이 일 만이 하나님을 기쁘게 하는 일이다. 그러나 심장의 가장 깊은 곳으로부터 나오지 않은 지속적인 기도로 너희가 하나님께 도달할 수 있다고 믿는다면, 너희가 이 번의 삶에서 단지 특권을 통해 주님께 가까이 간 것으로 믿는 사람들만 주님이 용서한다고 믿는다면, 계획적으로 정해진 기간 동안에 주어진 형식을 잘 따른 후에 모든 죄를 용서받는 것으로 믿는다면, 주님은 너희에게 더 나은 것을 가르치기를 원한다.

너희가 가장 깊은 심장으로부터 너희 죄를 깨닫고, 이 죄에 대한 진실된 후회를 느끼고, 동시에 주님, 구세주에게 그가 너희의 죄를 벗겨 주기를 그의 신적인 긍휼에 간청하고, 하나님의 구세주를 향한 사랑으로 너희가 죄를 짖지 않으려는 굳은 의지를 갖는다면, 구세주의 신적인 사랑으로 너희는 너희의 죄로부터 너희 자신을 자유롭게 만들 수 있는 권한을 얻는다.

사람이 불의로 깨닫는 모든 것을 심장에서 경멸해야만 한다. 이는 그 안에 죄를 피하려는 결심을 성숙하게 만들어 준다. 자녀가 아버지에게 하는 것처럼 이러한 불의를 통해 아버지를 절대로 슬프게 하지 않으려는 진지한 생각을 갖는다면, 경멸과 깊은 후회는 자신을 개선시키려는 결심과 하나가 된다. 그러면 주님은 충만한 사랑으로 후회하는 죄인을 자신의 심장으로 영접하고, 그의 죄를 용서한다.

그러나 관습과 습관을 통해 사람이 자신의 죄를 전적으로 기계적으로 해결할 수 있는 관습과 습관이 이 세상에 자리를 잡았다. 이로써 큰 악과 모독적인 행위가 인류에게 퍼지게 되었다. 왜냐하면 죄를 사해주는 일이 진정한 믿음을 죽이는 악습이 되어 버렸기 때문이고, 죄를 사해주는 일에 결과적으로 심장의 느낌이 절대적으로 필요한 것으로 이야기하고, 이로써 최소한 죄인이 열심히 전적으로 하나님과 느낌으로 연결이 되도록 만들었지만, 실제 죄를 사해주는 일이, 사람들의 심장이 주님을 통한 죄 용서를 받기 위해 필요한 선행조건을 전혀 갖추지 못했을 지라도, 사람들로 하여금 자신의 의무를 다했다는 믿음을 갖게 했기 때문이다.

이를 통해 항상 또 다시 비록 근본적인 생각과 그들의 의도가 선하고 고귀하다 할지라도 잘못된 가르침이 우위를 차지하게 되었다. 그러나 사람들은 진지하게 깊은 의미를 전혀 깨닫지 못하고 단지 의무적인 형식을 행하는 일에 습관이 되어 버렸다. 그러나 이 깊은 의미는 사람의 혼의 구원을 위해 아주 필요한 것이다. (중단이 됨, 계속 이어짐)
