Kampf gegen sich selbst, Begierden und Überwinden dieser....

Tötet euren Leib ab, wenn ihr eurer Seele das Leben geben wollet.... Darunter ist nicht zu verstehen, daß ihr euren Leib mißhandeln sollet, daß ihr euch kasteiet oder euch selbst verunstaltet, denn solches bezeugt nur einen mangelhaften Verstand, eine Verirrung menschlichen Denkens und eine Mißachtung dessen, was Ich als Schöpfer euch gegeben habe, es bedeutet ein Mißachten des Werkes seinem Schöpfer gegenüber.... Was Ich von euch verlange, ist, daß ihr die Begierden des Körpers abtötet, daß ihr euch selbst überwindet, daß ihr nicht die Wünsche des Körpers, die nur seinem Wohlleben gelten, erfüllet und dadurch eurer Seele einen übergroßen Schaden zufüget. Es ist dieser Kampf gegen die körperlichen Begierden wahrlich schwer, er fordert euren ganzen Willen zur Verzichtleistung, er fordert ein freiwilliges Entbehren, ein Sich-Versagen dessen, was euch reizvoll erscheint. Es ist wahrlich ein Kampf, zu dem ihr Kraft benötigt, doch diese Kraft geht euch zu, so ihr es nur ernst meinet mit eurer Vollendung.... so ihr wirklich die Absicht habt, das Ziel auf Erden zu erreichen, vollkommen zu werden. Denn eure Vollkommenheit hängt von dem Zustand eurer Seele ab, nicht aber von dem Zustand eures Körpers. Und der Körper und dessen Leidenschaften sind euch beigegeben worden zur Erprobung eures Willens.... Für die Erdenzeit tritt daher der Körper in den Vordergrund, er will sich behaupten in seinen Ansprüchen, und alle seine Wünsche und Begierden sind dazu geeignet, das Verlangen der Seele zu verdrängen, denn immer wieder meldet er sich und sucht den Willen des Menschen zu bestimmen, ihm Erfüllung zu gewähren. Die Seele aber kann sich nicht offensichtlich äußern, und macht sie sich bemerkbar in Form von Gedanken, so werden diese Gedanken schnell wieder verdrängt, und es gehört eine große Willensstärke dazu, ihr Gehör zu schenken und den Körper um ihretwillen zu vernachlässigen.... Es gehört dazu eine Willensstärke, also muß der Mensch ankämpfen gegen die Begierden des Fleisches, gegen alles dem Körper Zuträgliche, das aber der Seele unzuträglich ist. Zu diesem Kampf wider euch selbst, wider eure Begierden.... fordere Ich euch auf, denn es ist nur der Kampf der Seele gegen den Körper.... Die Seele aber ist unvergänglich, und sie wird einmal das Los auf sich nehmen müssen, entsprechend ihrem Reifezustand, der aber ein sehr niedriger ist, wenn der Mensch den Körper zuerst bedenkt und die Seele darben lässet.... Kämpfet den Kampf gegen eure Begierden, tötet euren Leib ab, gebet ihm nur, wessen er zur Erhaltung seines Lebens bedarf.... alles andere aber wendet eurer Seele zu, die nur reifen kann, wenn ihrer im Erdenleben mehr gedacht wird als des Körpers.... Einen solchen Kampf werde Ich segnen, und er wird wohl anfangs eure ganze Willensstärke benötigen, aber auch stets leichter werden, je mehr ihr euch überwindet, denn Ich versorge euch ständig mit der Kraft zur Überwindung, wenn ihr selbst dies nur ernstlich wollet.... und dann werdet ihr sicher euer Ziel erreichen....

Fighting against oneself, desires and overcoming them....

Kill your body if you want to give life to your soul.... This is not to be understood that you should ill-treat your body, that you mortify yourselves or disfigure yourselves, for such only testifies to a defective intellect, an aberration of human thinking and a disregard of what I as creator have given you, it signifies a disregard of the work towards its creator.... What I ask of you is that you kill the desires of the body, that you overcome yourselves, that you don't fulfil the desires of the body, which only apply to its well-being, and thereby cause your soul excessive damage. This fight against bodily desires is truly difficult, it demands your entire will to renounce, it demands a voluntary renunciation, a denial of that which seems appealing to you. It is truly a struggle for which you need strength, yet this strength will come to you if only you are serious about your perfection.... if you truly intend to reach the aim on earth, to become perfect. For your perfection depends on the state of your soul but not on the state of your body. And the body and its passions were given to you for the testing of your will.... For the time on earth the body therefore comes to the fore, it wants to assert itself in its demands, and all its desires and cravings are suitable to displace the soul's desire, for again and againit comes forward and seeks to determine the human being's will, to grant it fulfilment. The soul, however, cannot express itself obviously, and if it makes itself known in the form of thoughts these thoughts are quickly suppressed again, and it requires great strength of will to listen to it and to neglect the body for its sake.... This requires strength of will, thus the human being must fight against the desires of the flesh, against everything that is beneficial to the body but detrimental to the soul. I call you to this fight against yourselves, against your desires.... I call upon you, for it is only the struggle of the soul against the body.... But the soul is imperishable, and one day it will have to accept its fate according to its state of maturity, which, however, is a very low one if the human being considers the body first and lets the soul starve.... Fight the battle against your desires, kill your body, only give it what it needs to sustain its life.... but turn everything else to your soul, which can only mature if it is thought of more in earthly life than the body.... I will bless such a battle, and it will certainly require all your willpower in the beginning but it will also always become easier the more you overcome yourselves, for I constantly provide you with the strength to overcome if only you seriously want to do so yourselves.... and then you will surely reach your aim....
