Der rechte und der falsche Weg....

Der Weg zu Gott ist für viele Menschen schwer passierbar, weil ein anderer Weg ihnen reizvoller erscheint, d.h., der Weg, den sie gehen möchten, scheint ihnen, zum rechten Ziel zu führen. Sie sind aber ohne Kenntnis, welches Ziel ihnen als Mensch gestellt ist. Und also streben sie etwas an, was nicht im entferntesten der Aufgabe nahekommt, die ihnen für das Erdenleben gesetzt ist. Ihre Kraft, ihr Denken und Streben gilt dem Lösen von Problemen, die für das Seelenheil des Menschen höchst unwichtig sind. Sie setzen sich mit allem Eifer für eine gewaltsame Umformung bestehender Gesetze ein, sie sprechen dem einen Menschen alles Recht zu, während sie es dem anderen gänzlich absprechen, und nennen das ein Dienen der Nation. Der letzte Widerstand, der sich solchen Neuordnungen entgegensetzt, soll gewaltsam gebrochen werden, angeblich zum Segen eines Volkes. Dem rechtlich Denkenden wird das Recht der freien Meinungsäußerung genommen, und anerkannt wird nur, wer in gleicher Richtung zu denken sich bemüht wie jene, denen die Führung der Masse obliegt. Diese Richtung also ist maßgebend, und also werden unzählige Menschen auf einen Weg gedrängt, der aber nicht der Weg zu Gott genannt werden kann. Denn dieser Weg weiset viele Steine des Anstoßes auf, es ist nicht der Weg, der wohl über Dornen und Gestrüpp, jedoch unweigerlich zur Höhe führt. Es ist ein Weg, der wohl scheinbar geradeaus führt, doch immer weiter sich von dem rechten Ziel, von der rechten Gotterkenntnis entfernt. Denn wer Gott recht erkennen will, der muß alle Seine Geschöpfe anerkennen.... Er kann nicht dem einen Geschöpf mehr Lebensberechtigung zugestehen als dem anderen. Wer Gott recht erkennen will, der muß alles in der Schöpfung als Sein Werk betrachten und also nicht zuletzt auch die Menschen, die gleichfalls Sein Produkt sind und auch eine Bestimmung haben.... Er muß Gottes Weisheit achten, die wahrlich nicht planlos Geschöpfe in die Welt setzt. Also steht es den Menschen nicht zu, den Wert des einzelnen zu bestimmen, d.h., eine gewisse Menschenschicht als wertvoll, die andere als minderwertig hinzustellen vor aller Welt und dieser Einstellung gemäß nun ihre Verfügungen zu treffen, die gänzlich dem Willen Gottes zuwiderlaufen. Der Rechenfehler besteht darin, daß Gott Selbst in jede menschliche Bestimmung eingreifen kann, wenn Er es will; und Er wird es auch tun, so die Maßnahmen der Menschen solche Formen annehmen, daß große Gefahr besteht, den rechten Weg zu Gott gänzlich zu übersehen, wenn der falsche Weg beschritten wird von allen, die sich klug und weise dünken.... und jene verlacht werden, die den schmalen Weg zu Gott wählen in rechter Erkenntnis.... Dann wird Sich Gott Selbst äußern, und Seine Stimme wird vernehmbar sein auch denen, die den falschen Weg wandeln, auf daß sie sich nun entscheiden können, diesen zu verlassen und den rechten Weg zu betreten, der nach oben führt.... zu Gott....

The right and the wrong way....

The path to God is difficult for many people to pass because another path seems more appealing to them, i.e. the path they want to take seems to lead them to the right destination. However, they are unaware of the goal that has been set for them as human beings. And thus they strive for something that does not even remotely come close to the task they have been set for their earthly life. Their strength, their thoughts and endeavours are directed towards solving problems which are extremely unimportant for the salvation of the human being's soul. They are eagerly in favour of a violent transformation of existing laws, they grant all rights to one person while completely denying them to another, and they call this serving the nation. The last resistance to such reorganizations is to be broken by force, supposedly for the blessing of a nation. The right of free expression is taken away from those who think legally, and only those who endeavour to think in the same direction as those who are responsible for leading the masses are recognized. This direction is therefore decisive, and thus countless people are pushed onto a path that cannot be called the path to God. For this path has many stumbling blocks, it is not the path that leads over thorns and undergrowth but inevitably to the heights. It is a path that may seem to lead straight ahead, but which is always further away from the right goal, from the right knowledge of God. For anyone who wants to recognize God properly must acknowledge all His creatures.... He cannot grant one creature more right to live than another. Anyone who wants to recognize God correctly must regard everything in creation as His work and therefore not least also human beings, who are likewise His product and also have a purpose.... He must respect God's wisdom, which truly does not bring creatures into the world without a plan. It is therefore not up to people to determine the value of the individual, i.e. to present a certain class of people as valuable and the other as inferior in the eyes of the world and to make their decisions according to this attitude, which are completely contrary to God's will. The miscalculation consists of the fact that God Himself can intervene in every human destiny if He wants to; and He will also do so if people's actions take on such forms that there is great danger of completely overlooking the right path to God if the wrong path is taken by all those who deem themselves clever and wise.... and those are ridiculed who choose the narrow path to God in right realization.... Then God Himself will express Himself and His voice will also be heard by those who walk the wrong path, so that they can now decide to leave it and enter the right path which leads upwards.... to God....
