Abtrünnige.... Ehre.... Ruhm.... Irdischer Lohn.... Götter....

Wehe den Abtrünnigen, die Mich erkannten und doch wieder verlassen haben.... Ihr Los wird kein leichtes sein im Jenseits.... Sie verwarfen, obwohl sie das Rechte erkannten, und legen nun Zeugnis ab wider Mich, denn es reizt sie irdische Macht und Gunst mehr als die Krone, die Ich den Meinen verheißen habe.... Und so wird ihr Leben auf Erden wohl an Ehre, Ruhm und Ansehen nichts zu wünschen übrig lassen, doch sie bringen diesem ihre Seele zum Opfer und scheiden armselig von der Welt.... Wer Ruhm und Ehre für sich in Anspruch nimmt, wird ohne Meine Gnade sein, denn nur dem Demütigen steht diese zu.... alles, was der Welt ihren Tribut entrichtet, muß auch von der Welt den Lohn in Empfang nehmen, und dieser wird karg sein für die Seele. So dir geboten wird des Himmels Speise, stehst du hoch über jenen, denn es wird dir göttliche Gnade zuteil, wo jene um der Menschen Anerkennung gieren. Es sind keine Menschen so groß vor Gott, daß sie gefeiert werden müßten gleich Göttern.... Alles atmet nur Eigenliebe, Herrschsucht und Stolz.... Der freie Mensch empfindet dies und wendet sich ab, dagegen vereinen sich die Sklaven der Welt und ihrer Herrscher und bringen ihren Göttern das Opfer ihrer Unterwürfigkeit dar....

So sehen Unzählige die kommende Zeit nicht als geistig revolutionäre Wendung an.... sie achten vielmehr nur auf das irdische Treiben und lenken ihr Augenmerk nicht auf das Wichtigste, wie Gott Selbst Sich zu allen irdischen Ereignissen stellt.... Wie viele Gedanken machen sich die Menschen um nichtige Probleme, und wie unwichtig erscheint ihnen das eine Problem.... die Frage, zu welchem Zweck sie hier auf Erden sind.... Und es ist gewiß eine so trostlose Zeit, daß sie den Blick auf ihr Innenleben richten müßten und einer jeden Zeit Erscheinungen volles Interesse zuwenden möchten, in welchem Zusammenhang diese mit der ewigen Gottheit stehen. Des Lebens einzige Aufgabe ist das Erlösen der Seele.... es ist unendlich wichtiger, als fortdauernde Streitfragen aufzuwerfen, die mit seelischer Vollendung absolut keinen Zusammenhang haben. Oh, welche Kraft vergeuden diese Menschen an Nichtigkeiten, und wie armselig bedenken sie ihre eigene Seele.... die in Not und Elend weit eher hilfsbedürftig ist. Lebet in der Folge friedsam nebeneinander, die ihr doch alle Meine Geschöpfe seid, und machet keinen Unterschied des Wertes der Völker.... Habe Ich nicht alle erschaffen, und wer will sich anmaßen, der Wertvollste unter seinesgleichen zu sein?.... Hättet ihr den wahren Sinn des Lebens erfaßt, dann müßte in euren Herzen der edle Trieb vorherrschen, der schützend sich den Bedrängten zuwendet und verabscheuend den Bedrücker meidet.... Die Leidenszeit auf Erden wird euch noch so manches lehren.... Doch ehe ihr nicht demütig werdet und eure Hände emporstreckt, um Hilfe flehend.... ehe ihr nicht Gott zuerst die Ehre gebt und Jesus Christus als Gottes Sohn anerkennt, eher wird sich auch das Leid auf Erden nicht von euch wenden, denn Er, Der alle Schuld auf Sich nahm und am Kreuz für die Menschen gelitten hat.... Er war der Geringsten einer und hatte alle Macht, sich zu erheben zum Könige des Volkes.... Er blieb arm gleich Seinen ärmsten Brüdern auf Erden, Er war ein Freund und Erretter aller Armen, und Seine Erlösung war der schmähliche Tod am Kreuze.... Wer auf Erden der weltlichen Ehrung teilhaftig wird, steht dem Herrn Jesus Christus weit nach.... Er muß erst herabsteigen von seinem Thron und demütig seine Knie beugen vor Ihm, dem Gekreuzigten.... vor dem Herrscher des Weltalls und aller Kreaturen.... auf daß Dieser ihn erhebe aus dem Staube und ihn hinanziehe an Sein Vaterherz....

Renegades.... honour and glory.... earthly reward.... gods....

Woe to the apostates who recognized Me and yet left Me again.... Their fate will not be easy in the hereafter.... They rejected, although they recognized what was right, and now bear witness against Me, for they are more tempted by earthly power and favour than by the crown I promised to My own.... And so their life on earth will certainly leave nothing to be desired in terms of honour, fame and prestige, yet they sacrifice their soul to it and depart from the world in poverty.... Whoever claims fame and honour for himself will be without My grace, for only the humble are entitled to it.... everything that pays its tribute to the world must also receive its reward from the world, and this will be meagre for the soul. If you are offered the food of heaven, you will stand high above them, for you will be granted divine favour where they crave human recognition. There are no people so great before God that they should be celebrated like gods.... Everything breathes only self-love, imperiousness and pride.... The free man feels this and turns away, whereas the slaves of the world and its rulers unite and offer their gods the sacrifice of their subservience....

Thus countless people do not see the coming time as a spiritually revolutionary turning point.... instead, they only pay attention to earthly goings-on and do not focus their attention on the most important thing, how God Himself relates to all earthly events. How many thoughts people give to trivial problems and how unimportant the one problem seems to them.... the question for what purpose they are here on earth.... And it is certainly such a desolate time that they would have to turn their attention to their inner life and would like to pay full attention to every time phenomena, in what connection these are with the eternal deity. Life's only task is to redeem the soul.... it is infinitely more important than to raise perpetual questions of controversy which have absolutely no connection with spiritual fulfilment.

O, what strength these people waste on trivialities and how poorly they consider their own soul.... which is far more in need of help in adversity and misery.... As a result, live peacefully side by side, you who are all My creatures, and make no distinction between the value of the peoples.... Have I not created them all, and who will presume to be the most valuable of their kind? If you had grasped the true meaning of life, then the noble instinct should prevail in your hearts, which turns to protect the oppressed and abhors the oppressor. The time of suffering on earth will still teach you many things.... But before you do not become humble and stretch out your hands, pleading for help.... until you first give glory to God and recognize Jesus Christ as the son of God, the suffering on earth will not turn away from you, for He Who took all guilt upon Himself and suffered on the cross for mankind.... He was one of the least of these and had all power to exalt Himself as king of the people.... He remained poor like His poorest brothers on earth, He was a friend and saviour of all the poor, and His redemption was the ignominious death on the cross.... Whoever on earth becomes a partaker of worldly honours is far inferior to the lord Jesus Christ.... He must first descend from his throne and humbly bow his knees before Him, the crucified.... before the ruler of the universe and all creatures.... so that He may raise him from the dust and draw him to His father's heart....
