De aardse taak van de dienaren van God

Er bestaat werkelijk geen grotere taak op aarde, dan in dienst van God te staan en Zijn opdracht te vervullen, die erin bestaat Zijn woord in ontvangst te nemen en door te geven aan de medemensen. Wie het woord van God heeft, vindt ook de juiste weg, die naar God leidt. En daarom moet de mensen het woord van God gebracht worden, opdat ze de weg naar Hem vinden. En het is Gods wil, dat alle mensen tot Hem komen en daar hebben ze Zijn woord voor nodig.

En daarom onderricht God Zijn dienaren, die Zijn woord van Hem in ontvangst genomen hebben en nu ook ijverig werkzaam zijn om dit woord te verspreiden. Dit is een activiteit, die altijd het welgevallen van God zal hebben, omdat dit liefde voor de medemens veronderstelt.

Maar wie het woord heeft, moet ook in de liefde actief zijn, omdat alleen de werkzaamheid in liefde de mens in staat stelt om het goddelijke woord in ontvangst te nemen. En het goddelijke woord moet weer aansporen tot een werkzaamheid in liefde, want de mens komt er niet onderuit om dit kostbare geschenk door te geven, omdat zijn hart dit zelf als gelukkig makend ervaart en het geluk altijd mededeelzaam maakt.

Maar de opdracht om geestelijke goederen uit te delen is in zekere zin ook een verantwoordelijke opdracht, want alleen de waarheid moet verspreid worden en daarom moet degene, die God dient, er ook voor waken dat hij enkel de zuivere waarheid doorgeeft. Hij is uitverkoren om de waarheid van de leugen te scheiden en hij zal daar ook toe in staat zijn, zodra hij zelf de waarheid liefheeft. Hij zal elke dwaling direct als dwaling herkennen.

Maar nu moet hij opkomen voor dat, wat hij zelf als waarheid erkent. Pas dan dient hij God, Wiens wil het is dat de mensheid goed in de waarheid onderricht wordt en zodoende in de waarheid wandelt. God kan nooit toestaan, dat de dwaling naast de waarheid bestaat, want de dwaling is niet Zijn werk, maar die van de tegenstander. Bijgevolg moet al het onware bestreden worden en voor deze opdracht is de mens gesteld, die door het opnemen van het goddelijke geschenk het zuiverste besef heeft, dat hij zelf in de waarheid staat.

De zuivere waarheid is voor hem dus een kostbaar goed, zodat hij zich nooit meer tevreden zou kunnen stellen met onderrichtingen, die niet met de zuivere waarheid overeenstemmen. Bijgevolg zal hij ook de medemens niet af willen schepen met leringen, die hij niet staven kan, omdat hij in de liefde leeft en de zuivere waarheid als zodanig herkent. Zijn streven zal steeds zijn om ophelderend werkzaam te zijn en dit streven heeft steeds de zegen van God tot gevolg. Want Hij wil dat de waarheid verspreid wordt over de aarde, omdat de mens enkel door de zuivere waarheid tot de hoogte kan geraken.

Maar het streven van de mens zal ook van God uit ondersteund worden. Hij zal de mens leiden, zoals het goed is. Want als deze Hem wil dienen, plaatst hij zich geheel onder Zijn bescherming. Hij stelt zijn aardse leven bewust ten dienste van de medemensen. En waar liefde voor de naasten aanwezig is, daar moet onvermijdelijk succes geboekt kunnen worden. De mens moet zelf wetend worden en hij zal ook voortdurend met deze kennis werken, doordat hij zichzelf tot leraar vormt en de medemensen in erbarmende liefde probeert opheldering te geven om hun zielen opwaarts te doen gaan.

Earthly task of the servants of God....

There is truly no greater task on earth than to be of service to God and to fulfil His mission, which consists of receiving His word and passing it on to fellow human beings. Anyone who has the word will also find the right path which leads to God, and therefore the word of God has to be brought to people so that they will find their way to Him.... And God's will is that all people come to Him, and for this they need His word.... And that is why God trains His servants who receive His word from Him and are now also busily active in spreading this word. This is an activity that will always find God's favour because it presupposes love for fellow human beings.... However, anyone who has the word must also be active in love, since loving activity alone makes a person receptive to the divine word. And again, the divine word must stimulate loving activity, for the human being cannot avoid passing on this precious gift because his heart itself feels it to be blissful and happiness always makes it communicable. However, the task of passing on spiritual possessions is also to a certain extent a responsible one, for only the truth should be spread and therefore the minister of God must also ensure that he only passes on pure truth. He is chosen to separate the truth from the lie and he will also be able to do so as soon as he himself loves the truth.... He will immediately recognize every error as error. But now he must also stand up for what he himself recognizes as truth, only then will he serve God, Whose will it is that humanity should be well instructed in the truth and thus walk in truth. God can never allow error to co-exist with truth, for error is not His work but that of the adversary. Consequently, everything that is untrue must be fought against, and this task is given to the human being who, by receiving the divine gift, has the clearest realization that he himself stands in the truth. Pure truth is such a precious commodity to him that he will never again be satisfied with teachings that do not correspond to the pure truth. Consequently, he will also not want to fob off his fellow human being with teachings which he cannot substantiate because he lives in love and recognizes the pure truth as such. He will always endeavour to have an enlightening effect and this endeavour will always result in God's blessing. For He wants the truth to be spread on earth, because only through pure truth can the human being ascend. But the human being's endeavour will also be supported by God. He will guide man as it is right. For if he wants to serve Him, he will place himself completely under His protection.... He consciously places his earthly life at the service of his fellow human beings. And where love for one's neighbour is active it must inevitably be possible to achieve success, the human being must become knowledgeable himself and he will also constantly work with this knowledge by training himself as a teacher and trying to enlighten his fellow human beings with merciful love in order to help their souls to ascend....
