Worstelen om een standvastig geloof

Niets mag uw geloof aan het wankelen brengen en dus moet u al voor de tijd, die hier grote eisen aan zal stellen, worstelen om een standvastig geloof. En daarom moet u aan beproevingen onderworpen worden, opdat u in tijden van nood niet aan het wankelen gebracht wordt. Want dan hebt u geen ander houvast dan alleen maar het geloof, maar dit zal u ook helpen alles te verdragen en te overwinnen, want als u een sterk geloof het uwe noemt, staat u nooit alleen, maar steeds is uw Vader in de hemel bij u.

Hij is uw voortdurende begeleider, aan Wie u zich zonder bezwaar toe kunt vertrouwen. Die u goed leidt en u beschermt tegen verkeerd handelen en denken. En als u goed handelt en denkt, zal alles het beste voor u verlopen. Smeek daarom onophoudelijk om een sterk geloof. Strijd tegen uw zwakten. Blijf God steeds toegenegen en geef u in de diepste deemoed en liefde aan Hem over en u zult Zijn hulp nooit hoeven te ontberen en sterk worden in de geest.

Struggling for firm faith....

Nothing shall shake your faith, and thus you will have to struggle for firm faith even before the time that will make great demands on it. And therefore you must be subjected to trials so that you will not waver in times of adversity. For then you will have no other support than faith alone, but this will also help you to endure and overcome everything, for if you call a strong faith your own you will never stand alone but your father in heaven will always be with you. He is your constant companion to Whom you can entrust yourselves without hesitation, Who guides you correctly and protects you from wrong actions and thoughts. And if you act and think correctly, everything will work out for the best. Therefore, constantly ask for strong faith, fight against your weakness, always remain devoted to God and hand yourselves over to Him in deepest humility and love, and you will never have to do without His support and will become strong in spirit....
