Het werkzaam zijn van lichtwezens aan bereidwillige aardse mensen

Uit het lichtrijk dalen wezens naar de aarde af en ze houden zich in de nabijheid van die mensen op, die hun harten openen voor de liefdesuitstraling uit God. Zodra de mens zich in gedachten of in innig gebed met God verbindt, is zijn hart geopend voor deze uitstralingen en nu kunnen de lichtwezens werkzaam zijn en de tot ontvangen bereidwillige aardse mensen de uitstraling uit God doorgeven. Ze zijn door de wil van God bezield. Ze denken en willen niets anders dan wat God wil en zodoende zullen ze nu ook de mensen overeenkomstig de wil van God met licht en kracht bedenken.

Het werkzaam zijn van de lichtwezens aan de aardse mensen bestaat er nu in, dat ze hun gedachten onophoudelijk beïnvloeden en hen naar geestelijke zaken proberen te leiden, opdat ze zodoende het denken vergeestelijken. Dat wil zeggen van aardse zaken afleiden. Zodra de lichtwezens dit lukt, is een ziel gewonnen voor de eeuwigheid, want een mens, die zich eenmaal met geestelijke gedachten bezighoudt, vindt in een aardse belevenis geen vreugde en zodoende heeft hij ook het verlangen naar de materie overwonnen. En zijn ziel gaat de rijpe toestand tegemoet, want ze verenigt zich met de geest in zich, die voortdurend met de lichtwezens als gevers van kracht en licht in verbinding staat. De ziel heeft deel aan de geschenken, die door de lichtwezens de geest aangeboden worden. Ze ontvangt licht en wordt wetend.

Het is een groot succes, dat de lichtwezens behalen, als ze een mens op deze manier zo vergeestelijkt hebben, dat diens gedachten zich onophoudelijk met geestelijke vragen bezighouden, zodat ze naar God streven en weinig belang hechten aan aardse gebeurtenissen. Want een zo vergeestelijkt mens zal nu eveneens proberen op zijn medemens in te werken en zo de lichtwezens hun werkzaamheid op aarde makkelijker maken, doordat hij de medemens opmerkzaam maakt op de waarde van het geestelijke streven, daardoor diens gedachten op geestelijke zaken richt en dus samenwerkt met de wezens van het licht.

Work of the beings of light on willing earthlings....

The beings descend to earth from the kingdom of light and stay close to people who open their hearts to God's emanation of love. As soon as the human being connects with God in thought or heartfelt prayer, his heart is opened to these emanations and now the beings of light can work and impart the emanation from God to the earthly human being who is willing to receive it. They are animated by God's will, they think and want nothing else than God wants, and thus they will also now provide the human being with light and strength in accordance with God's will. The light beings' activity towards earthly people consists of constantly influencing their thoughts and trying to direct them towards spiritual things, thus spiritualizing their thoughts, i.e. distracting them from earthly things. As soon as the beings of light succeed in doing so a soul is won for eternity, for a person who once occupies himself with spiritual thoughts finds no pleasure in earthly experiences, and thus he has also overcome the desire for matter and his soul is approaching a state of maturity, for it unites itself with the spirit within itself which is constantly in contact with the beings of light as givers of strength and light. The soul participates in the gifts offered to the spirit by the beings of light.... It receives light and becomes knowledgeable. This is a great success which the beings of light achieve when they have spiritualized a person in such a way that his thoughts constantly occupy themselves with spiritual questions, that they strive towards God and attach little value to earthly events. For such a spiritualized person will now likewise try to influence his fellow human beings and thus facilitate the light beings' activity on earth by drawing his fellow human beings' attention to the value of spiritual striving, thereby turning their thoughts towards spiritual things and thus working in cooperation with the beings of light....
