Aanmatiging – Gedachten aan overledenen – Hun verzoeken

De grootste vijand van alle waarheid is de aanmatiging van de mensen. Zo zullen steeds die mensen zich voor de waarheid afsluiten die er geen eigen mening tegenover kunnen stellen en zich steeds alleen maar achter lege, hoogdravende woorden verschansen om hun gebrek aan eigen kennis te bedekken. Maar evenzo ook mensen die geen medemensen als boven zich staand, willen dulden. Zij zijn zelf zo ver van iedere bescheidenheid en deemoed verwijderd, dat zij deze ook niet bij de medemensen zullen zoeken.

Toch kunnen ze alleen maar met liefde tegemoet getreden worden, anders is succes uitgesloten en zullen zulke mensen zich dan ook nog moeilijk tot een andere opvatting bekeren, want hun eigen mening geldt hun als onovertrefbaar en hier wijken ze niet van af, of ze geloven de ontbrekende kennis achter welluidend gepraat te kunnen verbergen. Dienen betekent ook zich beledigingen geduldig laten welgevallen. Wees daarom ook in zo’n strijd steeds even geduldig en weer iedere verzoeking af door het gebed.

En laat nu jouw ziel stil worden ter nagedachtenis aan jouw dierbaren. In liefelijke eendracht en in liefdevolle inspanning die ze zich voor jou getroosten, zijn ze steeds alleen maar erop bedacht jouw vooruitgang te bevorderen en jou op de weg te houden, die je ingeslagen hebt. Het zal je steeds makkelijker vallen, en de kostelijke gaven zullen je nog verheugen. Jouw streven heeft echter op iedere manier een gunstige uitwerking en die weldaad, die de zielen daardoor in het hiernamaals bewezen wordt, is alleen al de moeite en arbeid waard.

In het rijk van de Eeuwige tellen de zielen de uren en minuten die hen nog scheiden van jouw desbetreffende geestelijke arbeid. Iedere geestelijke gedachte is voor hen een aansporing tot werkzaamheid, zij blijven voortdurend met jou in verbinding en zoeken hun onderkomen steeds daar, waar zij geestelijke aanspraak horen of gedachten bespeuren. En voor deze zielen is jouw geestelijke arbeid onuitsprekelijk zegenrijk.

De zachtste geestelijke prikkel is voldoende om ze aan te sporen en zo voelen ze ook alle liefde die een op hen gerichte gedachte voortbrengt. Hun zwakte is erg groot, hun toestand vaak zo erbarmelijk, dat jullie, mensen, door innig medelijden gegrepen zouden worden als jullie die nood van zulke zielen zouden kunnen zien. En een lieve gedachte is voor hen een onverwachte weldaad. Jullie weten niet hoe dankbaar ze jullie zijn wanneer jullie hen in liefde gedenken of een gebed voor ze naar de Vader zenden.

Ze willen altijd alleen maar liefde. De liefde vermindert hun leed. De liefde geeft hun streven hoop en kracht. De liefde brengt ze ook de uiteindelijke verlossing. En zulke zielen dingen om jullie liefde, ze trachten in jullie gedachten binnen te dringen, en als ze dit gelukt is, wachten ze op de hulp die hen al ten deel valt, doordat ze niet onwillig afgewezen worden, maar de mens zich gewillig korte tijd overgeeft aan de gedachten aan zulke gestorvenen die zich bij hen in herinnering brengen.

Het is zo onuitsprekelijk weldadig en leedverzachtend voor de worstelende ziel in het hiernamaals, dat ze daaruit weer nieuwe kracht put voor haar bevrijdingswerk. Laat daarom die zielen niet vergeefs smeken. Eerbiedig elke herinnering en kom haar gewillig na, doordat jullie een kort gebed in liefde naar de Vader sturen, Die zulke verzoeken verhoort en de zielen geestelijke hulp stuurt, opdat hun worstelen makkelijker wordt, en zij naar het licht geleid worden.

Arrogance.... Thoughts of a deceased.... Their pleas....

The biggest enemy of all truth is the arrogance of man. Thus, people will always close themselves to the truth, who cannot oppose their own opinion and only ever hide behind empty, high-sounding words to cover their lack of own knowledge. Likewise also humans, who do not want to tolerate a neighbour as standing above them.... Even modesty and humility are so far from them that they will not look for them in their neighbors.....

But they can only be countered with love, otherwise success is impossible, and even then such people will hardly convert to another view, because their own opinion is considered unsurpassable, and they do not depart from it, or they believe to be able to hide the lack of knowledge behind melodious speeches. Serving also means patiently accepting offenses, and so always be equally patient in such a struggle, and resist all temptation through prayer.

And now let your soul fade away in the memory of your loved ones. In loving harmony and in loving care for you, they are always concerned to promote your progress and to keep you on the path you have taken. It will always be easier for you, and you will still be delighted with the wonderful gifts; But in every way your striving has a favorable effect, and the benefit which is shown to the souls in the hereafter is alone worth the effort and work..... In the kingdom of the eternal, the souls count the hours and minutes that still separate them from your respective spiritual work. Every spiritual thought is a stimulus for their activity, they remain in perpetual connection with you and always seek their stay where they hear spiritual claims or feel thoughts.

And for these souls, your spiritual work is unspeakably beneficial. The slightest spiritual stimulation is enough to spur them on, and so they also feel all love which a thought turned towards them produces. Their weakness is so great, their situation often so pitiful, that you humans would be seized with pity if you could see the misery of such souls. And a dear thought is an unexpected benefit for them.... you do not know how grateful they are to you when you remember them in love or send a prayer for them to the Father.... They only ever want love.... Love lessens their suffering.... Love gives them hope and strength to strive.... Love also brings them final redemption....

And such souls woo your love, they seek to penetrate your thoughts, and when they have succeeded in this, they wait for the help which is already granted to them by the fact that they are not unwillingly rejected, but that man willingly surrenders himself for a short time to the thoughts of such deceased, who bring themselves to their memory. It is so unspeakably beneficial and soothing for the struggling soul in the beyond, that it draws new strength again for it's work of liberation. Therefore, do not let the souls ask in vain.... pay attention to every admonition and comply with it willingly by sending a short prayer in love to the Father, who hears such requests and sends spiritual help to the souls so that their struggle will become easier and they will be led to the light.....
