하나님의 말씀을 듣는 일은 절대적으로 필요하다. 나는 절대로 악한 일을 행하지 않는다.

너희가 내 말씀 앞에 너희 자신을 닫고 너희가 내 말씀이 없이 살 수 있다고 믿고 그러므로 너희가 내 말씀이 없이 이 땅의 삶을 살면, 너희는 어둡게 될 것이다. 너희는 빠르게 다음과 같이 해명할 준비가 되어있다: 나는 어떠한 나쁜 짓도 하지 않고 올바르게 행하고 내 의무를 성취한다." 그러나 너희는 더 이상 필요한 것이 없다고 믿고 너희가 아마도 나를 너희의 창조주 하나님으로 믿지만 그러나 너희 자신은 내 밖에서 머물고 내 말씀을 갈망하지 않는다. 왜냐면 내 말씀이 너희가 행하기 원하는 일보다 더 많은 일을 행하라고 너희에게 요구하고 내 말씀이 너희에게 사랑을 행하도록 요구하지만 그러나 너희의 자기 사랑이 아직 너무 크기 때문에 너희가 사랑을 행하지 않기 때문이다.

그러므로 너희가 하나님을 믿는다고 말하면, 너희는 하나님이 너희에게 요구하는 것을 들어야만 한다. 너희가 그의 말씀을 듣지 않으면, 너희의 믿음은 단지 죽은 믿음이다. 그를 믿는다고 너희가 보장하는 말은 단지 하는 말이고 이 말에 생명이 없고 이런 말은 축복을 받는데 너희에게 전혀 도움이 주지 않는다. 이런 식으로 말하는 너희는 진지하게 너희의 마지막 날이 갑작스럽게 다가올 수 있다는 것을 생각해야 한다. 그러면 너희는 실제 어떻게 합격할 수 있을지 너희 자신을 점검해야 한다.

그러나 너희의 가장 깊은 내면에 나를 믿는 믿음이 아직 잃은 것이 아니다. 너희가 믿음을 잃었다면, 너희가 이 땅에서 올바르게 살려고 노력하지 않았을 것이다. 그러나 믿음은 단지 아주 연약하다. 왜냐면 믿음이 내 말씀을 통해 너희에게 제공되는 강하게 해주는 일을 체험하지 못하기 때문이다. 너희는 이미 어두움 가운데 나쁜 삶을 살고 있다. 그러나 너희가 악한 의지를 가지고 있지 않으면, 너희는 아직 이 땅에서 빛을 얻을 수 있다. 왜냐면 너희가 항상 또 다시 내 말씀을 이해할 수 있게 해주기 때문이다. 내 말씀이 한번 단지 심장에까지 들어갈 수 있게 되면, 내 말씀이 힘의 흐름처럼 너희에게 영향을 미치고 그러면 내 말씀이 너희 안에서 빛이 될 수 있다.

너희가 저세상을 위해 유익이 되게 너희의 이 땅의 길을 가기 원하면, 너희 모두는 내가 너희에게 말하게 해야만 한다. 다시 말해 만약에 어떠한 방식으로든지 너희가 내 말씀에 대한 설명을 받을 수 있게 되고 이로써 너희가 나 자신으로부터 어떠한 것을 듣기 원하면, 너희는 나와 긴밀하게 연결을 이뤄야만 한다. 나 자신의 음성을 들으려는 의지가 없이 공허하게 말씀을 선포하는 것을 듣는 일은 내 말씀을 듣는 일로 여길 수 없고 이를 통해 너희 혼이 어떤 유익도 얻을 수 없다. 그러므로 나를 믿고 이런 믿음으로 내 음성을 기다리는 사람이 단지 내 말씀을 들을 수 있다.

그러나 죽은 말씀을 선포하는 일도 사람이 스스로 나와 연결을 이루게 할 수 있고 형식적인 행위가 생명력이 있는 일이 될 수 있다. 그러므로 내 말씀이 선포되는 곳을 찾아가는 일은 항상 추천할 만한 일이다. 왜냐면 단지 이성이 어떤 것을 영접하면, 이로써 비록 자유의지에 달려있을지라도 그러나 아직 가능할 수 있는 심장으로 향하는 길을 찾을 수 있기 때문이다. 그러므로 사람이 나를 찾을 수 있는 모든 가능성을 활용해야만 한다.

그러므로 내 말씀을 전하려고 시도하는 사람들에 의해 행해지는 모든 일은 축복된 일이다. 이 일은 서로 다른 밭에 떨어질 수 있지만 그럴지라도 씨앗이 뿌리를 내리고 싹이 틀 수 있는 좋은 씨앗을 뿌리는 일이다. 사람은 이런 일이 헛된 일이라고 절대로 믿어서는 안 된다. 왜냐면 내 말씀을 듣게 해서 단지 한 혼이라도 나를 찾을 가능성을 열어주면, 이는 가장 큰 의미가 있는 구속역사이기 때문이다.

단지 사람의 생각이 나에게 향하면, 언젠가 그 안에 내 음성을 들으려는 소원이 깨어날 수 있다. 그러나 내 말씀이 비로소 사람들에게 이 땅에서 성장하기 위해 필요한 힘을 줄 것이다. 계속하여 자신의 귀를 닫는 사람과 내 말씀을 선포하는 사람을 거부하는 사람은 자신 주변의 어두움을 더 크게 만들고 빛의 비추임을 더 이상 깨달을 수 없게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 그가 빛과 힘을 전해주기 원하는 나 자신에게 저항하기 때문이다.

Hearing God's word indispensable.... (I do no evil....)

This, too, will become darkness for you if you close yourselves off to My words, if you believe you can do without My address.... if you thus go through earthly life without 'My word'. You are quickly ready with the declaration: "I do nothing wrong, I act justly and fulfil My duty...." but you believe that you don't need more, you may believe in Me as your God and creator but you distance yourselves from Me, you don't ask for My word, and this is because My word tells you to do more than you are willing to do.... because My word demands loving activity from you but you refrain from it because self-love is still too great. Therefore, if you claim to believe in a God then you must also listen to what He demands of you. And if you don't listen to Him then your faith is just a dead faith, and your assurance of faith in Him is then just an expression, they are words without life which are of no use to you for beatitude. And you who speak like this should seriously consider that the day of your end can come suddenly, and you should give an account to yourselves as to how you will be able to survive then.... For deep down you have not yet lost your faith in Me, otherwise you would not make an effort to live righteously on earth either. But it is only very weak precisely because you lack the strengthening which is granted to you through My word. You are already living in darkness but you can still procure light for yourselves on earth if you are not malicious. For again and again My word will be brought to you, and once it can only reach your heart it will also touch you like a flow of strength, and then it can become light in you. You all have to let yourselves be addressed by Me if you want to travel your earthly path with a benefit for the kingdom of the beyond, and that means that you have to intimately unite with Me when My word is brought to you in any way.... that you thus want to hear something from Me Myself.... For listening to an empty proclamation of the word without the will to hear Me Myself cannot be called 'listening to My word', and you will not gain anything for your soul from it either. And therefore, My word can only be heard by the person who believes in Me and in this faith expects My address. But even a dead proclamation of the word can cause a person to establish the bond with Me himself, a formal act can become a living event, which is why it is always advisable to visit the places where My word is proclaimed, for as soon as something is only received by the intellect it can also find its way to the heart, which is indeed a matter of free will but can nevertheless be possible. And therefore every opportunity should also be used where a person can find Me. And thus it is always blessed work which is done by those who try to spread My word. It is the sowing of a good seed which may indeed fall on different soil but nevertheless a seed can also take root and sprout.... A person should never believe that such work is in vain, for to have opened up the possibility for a single soul to find Me through listening to My word is a rescue work of utmost significance. If only the human being's senses are directed towards Me, then the desire to be addressed by Me can also awaken in him one day.... But only My word will impart to the human being the strength he needs to mature on this earth. Anyone who constantly closes his ear, who refuses to listen to the proclaimers of My word, will increase the darkness around him and soon no longer be able to recognize any light, for he will oppose Me Myself Who wants to impart light and strength to him....
