영적인 생각을 교환하는 일은 유익하다.

모든 영적인 생각의 교환은 혼을 위한 성공을 가져온다. 왜냐하면 이런 생각의 교환이 혼의 지식을 풍요롭게 하거나, 오류를 수정하고, 진리를 전파하기 때문이다. 그러므로 생각을 교환하는 일은 이를 통해 사람들이 생각하도록 자극해주는 점에서 아주 큰 가치가 있다. 반면에 단지 한편에 의한 가르침은 사람을 쉽게 피곤하게 한다. 왜냐면 서로 교환이 이뤄질 수 없다면, 생각의 교환을 활기 있게 하는 것이 아니고, 피곤하게 만들고, 생각이 벗어나게 하기 때문이다. 생각을 교환하는 일은 의심의 여지없이 더 가치가 있다. 왜냐면 생명을 얻는 것이 비로소 혼에 유익한 영향을 미칠 수 있기 때문이다.

영의 세계는 단지 생각으로 질문하는 일을 통해 헤아려볼 수 있다. 왜냐하면 영의 존재 자신이 질문에 대한 답을 제공하기 때문이다. 인간은 자신의 시간을 사용하여, 자주 생각을 통해 받는 가르침에 헌신해야 한다. 다시 말해 자신의 생각이 자주 영의 영역을 배회하게 해야 하고, 그런 후 답변을 기다려야 한다. 사람이 이웃 사람과 답변을 교환하면, 생각을 영의 영역으로 향하게 하는 일에 큰 도움이 된다. 왜냐하면 질의 응답이 사람의 생각을 항상 또 다시 영의 영역으로 향하게 하기 때문이다. 세상편에서 그의 생각이 진리와 일치한다는 증거를 그에게 줄 수 없다. 그럴지라도 영을 추구하고, 그들의 연구의 목적이 저세상의 사람들의 생각의 결과가 일치하는 일이 세상적인 증거보다 진리라는 더 큰 보장을 해준다.

그들은 항상 자신들을 맡아 보살피고, 또한 사람들을 만나게 해서, 이 길 가운데 서로를 지원하게 하는 존재들의 인도를 확신하는 보장을 가지고 그들의 길을 간다. 그들이 함께 동행하면, 그들은 잘못된 길을 갈 수 없다. 왜냐면 같은 생각을 가진 사람들 사이의 영적인 생각의 교환은 혼의 성장을 촉진하고, 지식을 증가시키고, 영적인 일을 하려는 열심을 증가시키기 때문이고, 빛의 존재로부터 그들에게 제공되는 가르침과 훈계가 행동으로 옮겨지고, 서로에게 자극을 해주고, 혼을 대한 작업을 하도록 격려하기 때문이다. 그들은 항상 또 다시 사람들을 그들의 모임으로 끌어들이려고 시도한다. 왜냐면 하나님과 빛의 존재들과 올바른 연결을 이뤄, 그들 자신이 받은 것을 이웃 사람에게 주기를 원하는 일은 올바른 영적인 관점을 가졌다는 가장 명확한 증거이기 때문이다.

그러므로 그들은 생각의 내용을 가둬둘 수 없고, 생각의 내용이 그들이 생각의 내용을 가지고 일하게 하고, 전하게 하고, 이웃 사람들에게 가치가 있는 것처럼 보이는 것을 이웃사람들이 받아들이게 하도록 시도한다. 이런 생각의 교환이 또한 이웃사람이 들은 것을 이제 자신에게 또는 이웃 사람에게 하는 질문을 통해, 영의 세계와 연결을 이루고, 저세상의 빛의 존재들의 영적인 생각을 간접적으로 전달받는 답변을 실제로 받는 가장 좋은 기회가 된다면, 이런 생각의 교환은 두 배로 가치가 있다.

사람들이 이제 영의 세계에 대한 이런 관찰에 자신을 드리고, 진지하게 진리에 더 가까이 다가 가기를 원하고, 하나님을 그들의 노력의 목표로 삼는 동안에는, 잘못된 설명을 받을까 봐 두려워할 필요가 없다. 그들 내면의 하나님을 긍정하는 자세가 거짓된 전달로부터 그들을 보호한다. 왜냐하면 이런 자세가 유일하게 하나님과 연결되어, 진리 안에 거하는 존재들의 역사를 초래하기 때문이다. 하나님을 향한 심장을 가지고, 생각으로 연구하고, 고민하는 일이 올바른 생각을 한다는, 즉 진리에 합당한 생각을 한다는 가장 확실한 보장을 한다. 왜냐하면 그들이 답을 주는 사람들이 아니고, 알고 있는 세력들이 진리에 합당해야만 하는 것을 생각의 형태로 전해주는 일을 하기 때문이다.

그러므로 이제 같은 영을 가진 사람들이, 즉 진리를 향한 진지한 갈망을 가진, 가장 깊은 심장으로 하나님을 인정하고, 하나님을 바라는 사람들이 모이게 되면, 그들의 생각은 서로 다르지 않을 것이고, 단지 하나님께 등을 돌린 사람들이 반대하는 이의를 제기하거나, 특정한 질문을 향한 해명이 아직 겉으로 보기에 이곳 저곳에서 불일치가 있게 될 것이고, 이는 서로 간의 생각의 교환을 통해 해결이 될 것이고, 단지 더 많은 생각을 하게 만드는 원인이 될 것이다.

그러므로 사람들이 자신들의 생각을 영의 영역으로 향하게 하기 위해 함께 모이는 일은 영적 성장에 아주 유익한 일이다. 왜냐하면 이런 생각의 상호 교환이 사람에게 생각으로 제공되고, 다른 방법으로는 사람에게 제공할 수 없는 것이 진리임을 확인해준다면, 각각의 사람들에게 큰 유익을 주기 때문이다.

Conducive to the intellectual exchange of ideas....

Every spiritual exchange of thoughts results in success for the soul, for it enriches it with knowledge or corrects errors and thus spreads the truth, and therefore it is extremely valuable insofar as that people are thereby stimulated to think, whereas instructions from only one side easily tire people because their thoughts digress and mutual exchange cannot take place, which has an invigorating rather than tiring effect. This is undoubtedly more valuable, because only what gains life can have a favourable effect on the soul....

The spiritual world can only be fathomed through mental questioning, since the answer is given by the spiritual beings themselves, and the human being should utilize his time to often indulge in mental instruction, that is, he should often let his thoughts wander into spiritual realms and expect an answer. As soon as the human being discusses this with his fellow human beings, the flight of thought into the spiritual realm is greatly favoured, for speech and counter-speech repeatedly direct the human being's mind towards the spiritual realm. No proof can be given to him on earth that his thoughts correspond to the truth, however, the agreement of the results of the thinking of those who strive spiritually and whose goal of research is the world beyond is greater certainty for the truth than earthly evidence. And they walk their path with convinced certainty, always guided by those beings whose care they are entrusted to and who also bring people together so that they support each other on this path, for if they walk together they cannot go astray.... The spiritual exchange of thoughts between like-minded people promotes the maturity of the soul, it increases the knowledge and also the zeal for spiritual activity, for they also put the teachings and admonitions which they receive mentally from the beings of light into practice, spurring each other on and encouraging them to work on their soul. And time and again they try to draw people into their circle, for this is the clearest proof of a true spiritual attitude.... of a right connection with God and the beings of light.... that they want to give to their fellow human beings what they themselves receive.... Therefore, they cannot keep the thought material inside themselves but are driven to work with it, to pass it on and to persuade their fellow human beings to accept what seems valuable to them. This exchange of thoughts is doubly valuable as it is the best opportunity to also bring other people into contact with the spiritual world, which they now establish by reflecting on what they have heard, by asking themselves or their fellow human beings questions which they seem to be answered by them but which are indirectly already the transmission of the spiritual thoughts of the beings of light in the beyond. If people give themselves over to these contemplations, which reach into the spiritual world, they have nothing to fear from misguided enlightenment as long as they are seriously willing to come closer to the truth and have God as the goal of their endeavours. The inwardly affirmative attitude towards God protects them from false transmissions, for it results in the exclusive working of those beings who are united with God and thus in truth. Mental research and pondering with a heart turned towards God is the surest guarantee for right, i.e. truthful thinking, for it is not they who give themselves the answer but knowing powers come into action in the form of mental transmissions which therefore have to correspond to the truth. If people come together who are of the same spirit, that is, who seriously desire the truth and recognize God in their deepest heart and desire Him, their thoughts will not deviate from each other either, and only people who are distant from God will raise counter-objections, or there will still be an apparent uncertainty in one or the other in order to clarify certain questions, which will be remedied through mutual exchange of thoughts and should only give rise to more thought again. And therefore it is very beneficial for spiritual development that people come together in order to let their thoughts wander into spiritual territory together, for the mutual exchange of these thoughts is immensely beneficial for each individual, for it brings him the confirmation of the truthfulness of what he thinks, which cannot be offered to him in any other way....
