L’auto superamento – La volontà rafforzata - L’Opera di Redenzione di Cristo

Un cambiamento di vita secondo la Volontà di Dio richiede un grande superamento di sé stesso, quindi una forte volontà. Ma l’uomo non riesce ad avere da sé questa forza di volontà, dato che a causa del peccato ereditario tramite la caduta d’un tempo da Dio, la volontà è indebolita sovente fino alla totale assenza di volontà. Ma l’uomo può comunque appropriarsi della forza di volontà mediante l’intima preghiera a Gesù Cristo, il divino Redentore. Questo è il mezzo più semplice, ma più sicuro, per affrontare tutti i pericoli, per prestare resistenza e per poter superare sé stesso. E la volontà più debole diventerà più forte, perché per questo Gesù Cristo E’ morto sulla Croce. Con la Sua morte ha acquisito una volontà fortificata per gli uomini, ed ognuno che crede in Lui e la Sua Opera di Redenzione, può richiedere questa volontà rinforzata.

Il peccato di un tempo ha procurato agli uomini la volontà indebolita. Gesù Cristo ha preso su di Sé i peccati del mondo e così anche la conseguenza del peccato, la debole volontà. Lui ha estinto la colpa di coloro che riconoscono il Suo Sacrificio e così Egli restituisce loro la volontà fortificata, grazie alla quale possono ora svolgere il cambiamento di vita secondo la Volontà di Dio. E’ una Grazia, che Egli ha conquistato sulla Croce per gli uomini e che non sono in grado di afferrare, perché ciò che giace al suolo inerme e debole, si può sollevare ed ora lavorare su di sé pieno di Forza e Vigore; la sua volontà è forte, ed una volontà forte può tutto.

Ma la libera volontà rimane intatta, perché ora le spetta la Grazia dell’Opera di Redenzione, se dichiara la sua volontà a Gesù Cristo nell’intima preghiera di giungere in Alto. La debolezza di volontà non deve impedire all’uomo di tendere verso Dio, soltanto non ne ha la perseveranza e perciò deve chiedere una forte volontà per via di Gesù Cristo, e la sua preghiera verrà esaudita, appena Lo riconosce. Ed allora riuscirà a condurre la lotta contro il mondo che si manifesta nel superamento di sé stesso. Deve distaccarsi da tutto ciò che appartiene al mondo, da ciò che desidera il suo corpo, deve sacrificare, cioè dare al prossimo ciò che rende felice lui stesso, deve mettere in fondo sé stesso e fare del bene al prossimo, e tutto questo richiede un superamento, richiede una forte volontà che trasforma in azione tutte le buone premesse. Ma questa forte volontà può essere richiesta in ogni momento, e questa preghiera non rimarrà mai inascoltata.

Self-overcoming.... strengthened will.... Christ's act of salvation....

A way of life according to the will of God requires great overcoming of oneself, thus a strong will. However, man cannot muster the strength of will on his own, since the will is often weakened to the point of complete lack of will due to the original sin through the former apostasy from God [here the sentence is changed in the manuscript as follows (sin of the former apostasy)]. Nevertheless, man can acquire the strength of will through heartfelt prayer to Jesus Christ, the divine redeemer.... This is the simplest yet surest means to defy all dangers, to be able to resist and to overcome oneself. And the weakest will will become strong, for this is what Jesus Christ died for on the cross.... With His death He bought people a strengthened will, and everyone may request this strengthened will who believes in Him and His act of salvation. The former sin bore man's weakened will.... Jesus Christ took upon Himself the sins of the world and thus also the consequence of sin.... the weak will. He redeemed the guilt of those who acknowledge His sacrifice, and thus He restores to them the strengthened will by virtue of which they can now lead a way of life according to God's will. It is a grace which He acquired for people on the cross which people are unable to grasp, for what lies helpless and weak on the ground can rise up and now work on itself full of strength and power; His will is strong, and a strong will is able to do anything.... However, free will remains untouched, for the grace of the act of salvation is only granted to it if it expresses its will to ascend through heartfelt prayer to Jesus Christ. Weakness of will need not prevent him from striving towards God, it is just that the human being cannot muster the perseverance to do so. And therefore he should appeal for a strong will for the sake of Jesus Christ, and his appeal will be heard as soon as he acknowledges Jesus Christ. And then he will be able to wage the battle against the world, which is expressed in the overcoming of himself. He has to renounce everything that belongs to the world, what his body desires, he has to sacrifice, i.e. give to his neighbour, what makes him happy, he has to put himself aside and do kindness to his fellow human beings, and all this requires overcoming, it requires a strong will which puts all good intentions into action. But this strong will can be requested at any time, and this prayer will never go unanswered....
