La mansuetudine e la pazienza – L’effetto sui prossimi

Per educarsi nella mansuetudine ed nella pazienza, l’uomo deve immaginarsi l’anima del prossimo, che si trova in tutta la miseria a causa della volontà errata dell’uomo; ed ora deve essere pronto ad aiutare quest’anima. Voi uomini dovete sempre immaginarvi la prigionia dell’anima, allora starete di fronte a questi uomini pieni di compassione e cercherete di agire su di loro con tutto l’amore e la pazienza, per indurre la loro volontà, ad allentare le catene dell’anima e di darle quindi maggiore libertà. Ma l’impazienza e la veemenza rafforza la volontà errata e l’anima capita in miseria sempre maggiore. Perché degli sforzi buoni ed amorevoli risvegliano nel prossimo sempre dei moti buoni e soltanto così può essere aiutato nella miseria della sua anima. E l’anima ringrazia tutti coloro che l’hanno aiutata ad allentare le catene, perché ora le sarà sempre più facile, di determinare la volontà al bene, mentre l’involucro intorno all’anima si raddensa, quando il prossimo le va incontro con disamore, perché questo produce soltanto caparbietà e pure disamore. Appena l’anima sente un allentamento delle sue catene, anche la sua resistenza diminuisce verso colui che le fa del bene. Perché la catena è la violenza dell’avversario, che però può essere indebolita mediante la volontà per il bene. Quando all’uomo viene offerto amore e pazienza, allora anche la volontà si rivolge al bene, perché gli fa bene tutto ciò che ha per origine l’amore, soltanto deve anche riconoscere l’amore come tale. E l’impazienza e la veemenza non lascerà mai sospettare l’amore e farà scaturire pure l’agitazione nel prossimo. Questa arreca all’anima una grande miseria. Ma voi avete la possibilità, di sospendere una tale miseria e mediante il vostro essere, mediante l’amore, la bontà, la pazienza e mansuetudine farete scaturire dei moti morbidi, quindi contribuirete alla liberazione dell’anima dal potere maligno.

Gentleness and patience.... effect on fellow human beings....

In order to educate himself to gentleness and patience, the human being should visualize his fellow human being's soul, which is in dire straits due to the human being's wrong will; and he should now be willing to help this soul. You humans should always imagine the soul's imprisonment, then you will face these people full of compassion and try to influence them with all love and patience in order to cause their will to loosen the soul's fetters and thus give it greater freedom. Impatience and vehemence, however, strengthen the wrong will and the soul gets into ever greater trouble. For good and loving endeavours always awaken good impulses in a fellow human being, and only in this way can he be helped in the distress of his soul. And the soul thanks all those who help it to loosen the fetters, for it now becomes increasingly easier for it to determine the will for good, while the shell around the soul thickens if the fellow human being meets it in unkindness, because such only causes obduracy and likewise unkindness. If the soul feels a slight loosening of its fetters, its resistance to that which is good also diminishes. For the shackle is the power of the adversary, but it can be weakened by the will to do good. If a person is shown love and patience, his will will also turn towards the good, for everything that has love as its cause is good for him, only he must also recognize love as such. Impatience and vehemence will never suggest love and therefore likewise trigger agitation in the fellow human being. This causes great distress to the soul. But you have the opportunity to remedy such hardship and, through your nature, through love, kindness, patience and gentleness, to trigger soft emotions, thus contributing to the soul's liberation from evil violence....
