Escuela del Espíritu.... La vida en la tierra como estación educativa....

Cada criatura está sujeta a la ley, para completar la escuela del Espíritu, y tiene que hacerlo obligatoriamente a través de todos los periodos de desarrollo, para, sin embargo, en la última etapa ser liberada de la compulsión y ahora es libre de hacer uso de las posibilidades que sirven al desarrollo espiritual. El niño de la tierra puede ser instruido de la manera más exhaustiva, si sólo quiere ser instruido.... En cualquier momento dispone de fuerza espiritual, la que lo inicia en todo lo que vale la pena conocer para la salvación de su alma. Continuamente también se le envían advertencias espirituales, que puede escuchar a través de su voz interior y todo esto siempre es solo un medio para un fin, para alcanzar el estado de madurez espiritual, para llegar a esa altura, que significa la esfera de luz para el ser terrenal y que se diferencia considerablemente de la estancia de los seres imperfectos que se encuentran fuera de esta esfera.

Mientras el hombre no haga nada para mejorar su estado espiritual, mientras solo se preocupe solamente de manera terrenal por su bienestar, el estado de alma siempre será el mismo como al entrar en la vida terrenal. Entonces, el alma ha llegado a un punto muerto.... no se esfuerza por un desarrollo superior, no busca alimento espiritual ni reconocimientos y, por lo tanto, no cambia su estado en lo más mínimo.... Sin embargo, el tiempo en la tierra se escapa y los días y los años se gastan inútilmente.... Porque el alma no tiene parte en toda la experiencia, solo el cuerpo.

Lo que sería parte del alma no es tangible para el hombre y, por lo tanto, a menudo no es deseable. Y, sin embargo, lo único importante en la tierra es que el espíritu se despierta y se desarrolla. Porque solo entonces la vida terrenal es la estación educativa para el hombre cuando el alma se penetra en un reconocimiento cada vez más elevado y así la escuela del espíritu se completa conscientemente y el resultado es el estado de perfección, que asegura la entrada en las esferas de luz después de la muerte corporal y, por tanto, es el propósito y objetivo de la encarnación como humano....

School of the spirit.... earth life as a station of education....

Every individual creature is subject to the law to complete the school of the spirit, and it has to do this compulsorily through all periods of development in order to, however, be released from compulsion in the last stage and now be free to make use of the possibilities which serve spiritual development. The earthly child can be taught in the most exhaustive way if it only wants to be taught.... Spiritual strength is always at its disposal to initiate it into everything worth knowing for the salvation of its soul. It also constantly receives spiritual admonitions which it can hear through the inner voice, and all this is only ever a means to an end to achieve the spiritual state of maturity in order to reach that height which signifies the sphere of light for the earthly being and which differs considerably from the unfinished beings' stay outside of this sphere. As long as the human being does nothing to improve his spiritual state, as long as he is only purely earthly concerned about his well-being, the soul's state will always remain the same as when it entered earthly existence. Then the soul will have reached a dead end.... it will not strive for higher development, it will neither seek spiritual nourishment nor knowledge and thus will not change its state in the slightest.... However, time on earth will slip away and days and years will be spent useless.... For the soul has no part in all experiences but only the body. What would be the soul's share is not tangible to the human being and thus often not desirable. And yet the only important thing on earth is that the spirit be awakened and come to development. For only then is earthly life the educational station for the human being, when the soul strives towards ever higher realization and thus consciously completes the school of the spirit and the result is the state of perfection, which ensures entry into spheres of light after bodily death and is therefore the purpose and aim of embodiment as a human being....
